Catfish and Shrimp comes with a choice of one side

Black Owned Business. COVID19 experience. Called in my order for a 25-30 minute window. Phone rep quoted me prices not on the menu.. I thought that was strange since I picked up the menu before I placed my order. Arrived to pick up my food. There was an error in what they gave me vs what I ordered but they quickly corrected it while I waited. The staff appeared to have a lot of orders coming in so it was quite unorganized but a working system. Fried soul food held up for the car ride home. Food was worth the experience. No restrooms. Pick-up orders no dine in

I'd didn't get a pic of everything but here's a couple of ribs, rice and Mac n cheese. YUM!

Ordered delivery last night and I'm so happy we did! Food took a lil' bit to get to us but that didn't matter once we got our food everything was amazing! We ordered the BBQ Ribs, BBQ chicken, rice n beans, Mac n Cheese, and banana pudding. True Southern flare. Every dish was great. The ribs were moist and sauced to perfection. The chick was a generous portion and tasty. The service was friendly, and we'll definitely be ordering again

You won't find a better soul food restaurant in Seattle than Angel City Deli. This is my second time ordering out and it's been 100% delicious both times! It is really hard to find a better soul food take out in Seattle. Bbq chicken juicy and moist perfection. The sauce is a thick smoky and sweet smothered over chicken. Red beans and rice is not spicy and tastes like a classic --you won't forget it. I think I've tasted this Mac N Cheese before...in my DREAMS! Noodles are cooked perfectly and cheese layers hug every noodle. And the greens...every bite is heavenly. My only regret is I didn't call earlier to order dessert... out by the end of the day. Next time!

Used to go here for the gumbo on Tuesdays. Not anymore . Not sure if the cook changed ? But has been consistently really really salty with lots of chicken wings , Broth/soup and no seafood just empty crab shells and extremely spicy. Owner did apologize and offered for me to give them another try and it still was no good. The pictures are after i got home and poured out what was in the conta

"Rib Sandwich & snack potato salad"
Shirley W.

On July 2nd around 7p I ordered a rib sandwich and a snack potato salad. I was horribly disappointed. I was given junk pieces of meat not the bones as they advertise and no bread. The potato salad had extremely large hunks of potatoes, it was lazily constructed. I don't have $15.41 to support black businesses or any other business who clearly gives less than a care and/or lack passion of what they serve to their community. My pics speak for themselves, would you eat this crap? I couldn't and didn't, the meal was just too disgusting. I threw the potato salad in the garbage and gave that disgusting meat to my neighbor's dog. My first and last visit.

Just to begin, I had been warned NOT to give this restaurant any business, however, it's local and upcoming, and I wanted to support them and share my own experience. The reviews are fairly mixed, so you never know, but now I understand the issues. I placed an order online via Yelp for the Saturday - Daily Special: Oxtail Dinner with Rice and Gravy. Shortly afterward, I called to see what the wait time would be since I was working and my lunch break begin in 30 minutes. I was planning on pick-up.... The gentleman that I spoke to informed me that the daily special would be at least a 1 hour wait, Whoa! Okay that was discouragment from the beginning. I've mentioned before, since working in restaurants, I've become accustomed to particular standards. The daily special specifically, should have heavily made preparations ready in advance so disbursement can be done timely and efficiently. There certainly shouldn't be 60 minutes wait times at 2:30 pm. However, I remember they are new, and there's always room for improvement somewhere. I decided to wait for an hour before leaving work to go pick-up my food, and upon arrival the gentleman who I was standing at the counter asked me to wait so he could put my food together. Whoa! Hmm again, I don't understand why my order still isn't ready. They did not seem busy, and I was the only customer in-shop. Now anxious, and hungry I'm having to wait an additional 5-7 minutes until I got my food, and forced to raced back to work Once I got back to work and opened the container and I saw the food, and I admit I was disappointed. The oxtails almost resemble what I imagined canned meat to be the gravy was bland, and obviously not homemade, the rice was extremely over cooked and there were hardly any side of my greens in the tray. Somehow my red beans and rice was switched into a green salad that sat on top of the warm food and absorbed condensation. The food was then almost cold, which confims that it was not made "Fresh"... I felt cheated, and that it was such a waste. Unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one, kind of awful experience actually. I would recommend that you thoroughly examine your food once you finally get it. My original order was placed via Yelp because of incredible photos they have posted, but those photos are not mirroring the quality received. Very misleading! Although I wish this restaurant the best of luck I will not be returning to Angel City Deli

It is a small spot (sorta) so you kind of get in where you fit in. We ended up at the bar and honestly it worked out perfectly. Our bartender was friendly, engaging and just made us feel right at home. Another staff member came through at some point and was equally as kind. The service all around was great. Now let me talk about the food because that cabbage had no business being that good. I know that sounds random but it was my favorite thing and I did not see that coming. The mac and cheese was delicious, the fried chicken was really good, and my husband was all about the rice and black eyed peas (surprisingly). I also ordered a non alcoholic drink and even though I cannot remember the name it was really good too. The only minor thing was that one of the items, I think it was the hush puppies or cornbread, came out a little lukewarm. They mentioned it can be hard to keep that particular item hot, and flavor wise it was YUM so it was not a dealbreaker. Everything else comes out fresh as it's cooked so just know timing can vary by dish. It did get crowded toward the end and they politely let us know people were waiting outside. They handled it with so much grace it did not feel uncomfortable at all. I will definitely be back. Already curious about what will be on the menu next time.

This was hands down my favorite meal of my weekend trip. I found this spot through TikTok, and it…read morecame highly recommended. We didn't have a reservation, but after about a 10-minute wait, we were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. The seating seems intentionally designed to bring people together, and you could see it in the mix of large groups, couples, and even solo diners. Like the name, it had a "communal" energy that made the space feel alive and intimate. The hostess, bartenders, and our waitress were all phenomenal. They were attentive and easy to talk to. Also, the playlist was good. It really added to the overall experience. We started with the sweet potato hoe cakes, and they were absolutely amazing. I loved the texture. They were soft, pillowy, and balanced. They weren't too sweet, even with the honey butter. I wish I'd ordered more to go because I haven't stopped thinking about them. I'll have to try recreating them at home. For my entree, I ordered the stuffed trout, and this is where things really took off. It's a whole fried trout stuffed with a seafood dressing (shrimp, catfish and oysters), and it immediately caught my eye on the menu. I'm not used to eating whole fish, and I don't think I'd even had trout before, but this dish was mouthwateringly good. The fish was crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned. The béarnaise sauce really set it off. There were so many layers of flavor and texture, and everything just worked together perfectly. On top of that, the presentation was stunning. I posted it on my Instagram story and immediately had people asking where my food was as from. This meal was very memorable. I have zero notes. The ambiance, food, music, and service were all top-tier. Side note: There is a 5% "communal" surcharge added to every bill. The money is used to support staff benefits, the support staff, and the line cooks. This is separate from the gratuity. This surcharge is clearly explained on the menu, and I really love and appreciate the transparency and that they care about the employees. But yeah. Super good. We love a good meal and we damn near left there skipping.

It also only had 2 kinds of Vietnamese cold cut meats, which I didn't mind, but it needed more in there. There's a super thin layer of mayo and pate I think. Bread was very fresh! I give 3/5 Kimchi fried rice had good kimchi flavor. Portion size was large. 10 piece fried chicken (wings) was good. The skin was way fattier than I would've liked and it could've been fried longer to help melt some of the fat out and make it crunchier. It was super hot, fresh, and juicy though. Radish was free. It came with sauce but only on the side. Personally, I would want to try other korean fried chicken places to compare before coming back here again Waffle fries come with either ranch or ketchup. Large portion sizes! For all we ordered, it was around $55. Great price for the portions and variety imo. Service was outstanding as I mentioned. One older woman worker felt like she was my auntie. She refilled our water and checked in on us despite this being a place where you go up to order.
