    Half size Original bone in

2 weeks from opening and things are running well at this new Korean Fried Chicken restaurant located next to the UPS Store / Fred Meyer on Benson Hill in Renton. The staff were helpful offering suggestions on what to order. We tried the half bone in original with Yangyeom sauce side, a half Soy Gangjung wings, and fries. Plenty of food for two with leftovers for later. There are a few tables inside the clean and minimally decorated seating area. We opted to take our order to go so we could dig in and get messy.

We ordered to-go during their soft opening, and tried the original, honey butter, soy gangjung, and yangyeom flavors. Everything was delicious, well cooked, good balance of crispy and saucy. Each piece had lots of meat. However, every flavor on the fairly sweet side. I would have preferred soy and original to be more savory. The spicy options were hardly spicy to me. Because of this, the sweetness built up and it made it difficult to eat more than a few small pieces. Overall really tasty option for an occasional treat, definitely meant to be shared!

This place exceeded my expectations! I got the place in Kirkland years ago and thought it was OK. However, this place was very juicy, the flavors were amazing, portion size was good. I highly recommend and I would come back.

In addition, we got fried wings and also got a soup. The food was really good. The Korean bbq was marinated well with good cuts of meat. The panchan was good and came with unlimited refills. The seafood was good too. And the chicken wings were pretty flavorful. Unlike Korean bbq places in la, you have to order your own soup here as it doesn't come with the table, and neither does like an egg dish or anything else you get with your meals in la. All of those additional things cost extra, which kind of makes this place a lot more expensive than the places you will find in la. But overall the service is good and the ambiance is nice and the food is good. So I guess this is a good place overall. It has to be, because they're making enough money to open up a second location. But that can also be because they're charging extra for the soups and so forth and not including them in their deals like an la Korean bbq place would!

These folks probably need another great review like Elon Musk needs an increase in his allowance,…read morebut fairness demands that I not keep silent regarding my enjoyment of this restaurant: THE ROSES: Ample dedicated parking. The staff is gracious, prompt, professional, and - I hope no one objects when I say this - rather attractive. Generous portions and reasonable prices for what you're getting. The food is nothing sort of legendary - bold flavors and dishes have the perfect balance of sweet, heat, savory, and umami. THE THORNS: None significant enough to mention. NEITHER ROSE NOR THORN: It is important to note that this place is insanely popular with the area's Korean community. The restaurant is quite busy Thursday thru Sunday, and significant waits for a table are likely. Monday thru Wednesday is your best time for going and getting a table without a wait. The price of some dishes, like their signature offering, Kalbijjim, might give you a pause ($80+). It is important to keep in mind this is made to order, and one serving can easily serve four regular appetites. If you're just a couple, you're definitely going to be taking this home with you. This is not a bad thing, as Kalbijjim is one of those dishes that is even better the next day and doesn't suffer from reheating. THE VERDICT: Daeho Kalbijjim is extremely popular, and it's not hard to see why. The execute authentic Korean cuisine pretty much flawlessly with efficient and charming service. What else to you want in a restaurant? Highly recommend. Just try not to go on the busy days.

They also had some really tasty banchan that made the meal even better. It's incredibly busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. For a group of four, I'd recommend getting a Kalbijjim and a cold noodle dish to balance out the meal as the meat flavors do get pretty heavy. The Suyuk was another standout, the meat was tender, and the broth had an incredible depth of flavor. As for the cheese on the Kalbijjim, I'd say it's not necessary unless you specifically want the experience. The dish is already delicious without it. Overall, a really great meal with bold flavors, incredibly tender meat, delicious banchan, and great service. Definitely worth a visit!

GEN KOREAN BBQ @ SOUTHCENTER MALL…read more Parking is super easy at this location since it's in the Southcenter Mall, with plenty of free parking available. We found a spot right out front, and it's nice that you can also walk around the mall before or after your meal since there are lots of other shops and restaurants nearby. This was my first time trying JEN Korean BBQ with my family, and I was excited since I'd heard they have several locations across the U.S. We came for dinner, which is about $35 per person for the all-you-can-eat menu, while weekday lunch is around $25 per person, making it a great value if you're looking for AYCE Korean BBQ. They have a great selection of meats, plus plenty of appetizers. The corn cheese was definitely one of my favorites and is always a must-order for me. Everything came out fresh, and there were lots of options to choose from. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to bring out refills. I also really liked the ambiance the darker interior gives the restaurant a cozy, modern feel that's perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back. If you enjoy Korean BBQ, this is a fun spot where you can cook your own food, try a variety of meats and sides, and eat as much as you want. It's a great place for groups, family dinners, or anyone craving all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ.

Speaking of pork belly they were too chewy we cooked it for long enough and it was still very chewy. Service was trash. The lady that was our server poured all the meat on our fryer so half of the meat was stacked on top of each other so it took longer to cooked. We're already on a 90 minute time crunch. If my step dad wasn't pestering the lady for a next round they wouldn't have checked on us and we would've been waiting for 30 minutes. While we were waiting for the second round the lady told us to turn off our heater when we're not using it, the man later came and turned it back on and told us to keep it at level 400-500. The next time we got the food she tried to put all the meat on the fryer again my step dad said "It's okay we got it, thank you" she looked at us like we didn't know what we were doing. Later on she looked at how we put everything on the fryer she looked and laughed at us TWICE.

As visitors from the Bay Area where there are a bunch of Korean restaurants, I can confidently say the food here is far better than your average Bay Area Korean restaurant. Between the four of us, we ordered a 12 half-and-half piece wing set, a seafood pancake, a tofu soup, and a beef bibimbap. Although food takes a long time to come out of the kitchen, the food is worth the wait! The seafood pancake was some of the best seafood pancake that I've had. The pancake had generous amounts of seafood in it and the crispiness could not be beat. Although the bibimbap comes in a large stone pot and is sizzling hot coming out of the kitchen, you unfortunately aren't able to extract any burnt rice from the bottom. Perhaps a little bit more oil is needed to achieve this? Despite this, it's still a really nicely constructed bibimbap bowl with a solid variety of vegetables. The chicken wings are crispy on the exterior and juicy on the interior. The wings are on the larger size, so once you get past the thin layer of crispy skin on the outside, I recommend dipping the wing back into the leftover sauce on the plate for more flavor. Last but not least, the tofu soup had a deep kimchi flavor, and was very mild in terms of spiciness. I thought the rice cakes included in the bowl were cooked perfectly and had a nice bounce to them. Overall, if you're looking for Korean food in this part of town, I don't think Danji Korean Cuisine can be beat.
