I had so much fun here. Came after work and the bartenders rock! The tacos on the happy hour menu are delicious, I had the fish tacos. I like that they have a pool table and other games to play. Super friendly staff!! this bar is a chill place with good music. My friends and I came in on a Wednesday evening to grab some food and karaoke was playing. It was fun but slightly too loud, we could barely talk. Drinks were strong and not too expensive. Food was actually soo good and great portions. We ordered wings, burger, quesadilla, all were good. I got the turkey club and it was amazing! Large portion too. My only complaint would be that the wait for food was long and they brought it out one by one so it felt akward eating when not everyone got their order. I'd just say to management to get another cook to speed up time, but otherwise great place ! read more

Went with my daughter for a quick drink. At first when I walked in I was hesitant. Depending on where you are feeling welcomed can be sketchy but wow! The bartender was GREAT. Her smile was contagious and I think she could tell I was hesitant. She chatted with me and helped everyone that came in pretty quickly. I had heard about this bar being a locals only thing but it did not feel that way at all. After we left and went to another place we even recommended that folks stop buy and try it out! I will return because of her honestly. They play good music all genres which is nice and ALL are welcome. Can't wait to go back and stay longer to enjoy the place. I've been coming to classics for YEARS! While I've seen many food items come and go, it's been an overall upgrade on my most recent adventure there. I went on Friday for the $.75 hot wings. The size and texture was worth much more than that price! The HOME MADE ranch was soft but flavored well to not overpower the wing. Great job! My drinks are always cold and refreshing! Week day afternoons are locals and always has a great ambiance of that local home town feel. I'm not sure on the night life, but seeing that there is karaoke now on Sundays and Wednesdays is exciting!!! Overall the bar has grown, the food is always great and only getting better, even with some of my all time favorites disappearing from the menu, all in all, my favorite watering hole!! You can literally get anything from breakfast to burgers, to great pizza, to incredible Mexican style tacos. Tons of beer on tap. Great deals and staff is friendly. I live close by so I tend to go on Fridays which is their steak special and I'd say it's definitely worth it and a great deal. They are usually on point with how you want it cooked and the serving with everything is great for leftovers. The portions for the chicken strips with fries is crazy big and delicious. Great courteous staff! Clientele separates like any awkward High School lunchroom. If you do bring friends don't bother trying to talk with them because the music is up so excessively loud you would be better off if you have or want severe hearing loss. That bar on the side of Maple Valley Highway in the same building as a convenience store? Who would ever stop there? Apparently, more people than I had originally thought. To me, this had appeared as one of the diviest bars in Renton. But the service is friendly, and it's a really easy place to just hangout, have drinks, and eat food. To quickly cut to the chase, they have a different deal for every single day of the week where you can get discounted food and/or drinks. If you enjoy cheap bar food, or like saving money on cheap bar food, this is decent spot to do just that. I do particularly like the pizza, which is pretty large and probably a monumental task for anyone who does not plan on sharing said pizza with their friends. We've been in a few times for steak night (KILLER STEAKS) and a few other times just to grab a beer. Let me say this - if you go in on steak night, get there early or prepare to find parking in another lot! Classics has limited parking available, and it's usually pretty busy. It's a dive bar, so don't expect anything fancy when you walk in. But the drinks portions are hefty and the food is awesome, which makes for a good combination. The reason for my 4-star instead of 5? The music is far too loud. Not sure if Great Grandpa Louie was in the back making the record selections and forgot to put in his hearing aids or what, but I honestly thought my ear drums were going to burst.
