Wonton soup was great
Trav H.

The layout is a little strange. The food was good though. Wonton soup was really flavorful and the noodles was cooked perfectly. I got kung pao chicken and I love that they used lots of zucchini and vegetables! (I asked for no peanuts) the water didn't taste good though. Also the menu says (no refills) next to the soda which I thought was kinda whack, but I ordered one and it came in a can then made more sense. I would just write "can of soda - $250" which would imply you don't get unlimited cans, rather than saying no refills. Just a critique though. The ice tasted a little off so maybe it's time to clean the ice machine. I'd probably try it again because the food was pretty good, and it's right by my work.

I'm here with family and someone found this place. Walking in you can be seated or walk to the bar ahead of you. There's plenty of seating inside for groups. I ordered a Chicken Fried Rice Plate....Food came out hot....Chicken Fried Rice was good....nice size portion too. If you're in the area swing on by.

Dining area was spacious and great for family dining. Waiting area had couple seats while waiting. We love getting the lunch special. It's a great deal. Our first time dining in, they provided an amazing service. Food came quick and hot. Our go to is the general Tao and orange chicken. The sauce is coated so well on both. The general Tao has a spicy sweetness whilst the orange chicken has the bright orange sweet flavor along with a salty soy. Chicken on both was crispy, juicy and good chunk of meat. Our server was lovely and attentive. Would love to come back for dinner to try their dragon bites and maybe order a couple of drinks from their bar. They have a great space in the bar area

I ordered chicken Gani pin .. on the menu it has mushrooms,Chinese greens, carrots and pea pods! But they decided to add

Food was ok but extremely greasy. Appetizer combo was overly coated in batter and also saturated in oil.

Sans Woks did some things very well and other not as good, but as long as you stuck with the items you like, it was an overall solid spot. New owners took over about 18 months ago and I was excited, they claimed to keep the old recipes, while adding more items to the menu. On my first visit the portion was generous and the flavor was OK. The Hot and Sour was not the same, but I liked the Orange Chicken more. However, as I returned, portions got smaller, flavor got weaker and the chef ignored my requests for more heat and more seasoning. The last couple visits the food was flat out terrible and I now refuse to return. Unless they make significant changes, I don't see them remaining open. It's a slap in the face to the name, if you are not going to honor the original restaurant, CHANGE YOUR NAME.

Off of central in Kent closer to s 277th street. There was only one young person in the place with us. Two guys working the place. The owner who catered to us, and the cook. Not sure why I never heard of this place. Owner said they have been open for 3 years now. The food came out fast. We actually ordered too much we had it for three more meals at home. I think overall the food was good. Like I was telling the owner I normally drive to Canada to get Chinese food, or San Fran for dim sum. I'm pretty hard to please. But since I like to support local, I'll bring my friends here another time for lunch. The decor was minimal but nice. From the outside it looked like it was closed, and like it was a home or doctors office. It's right next to a bikini barista. So we missed it the first time. It's a brick building. The tea was really good. The perfect amount of Chinese leaves, and it was nice and hot for a cold blistery day even if it's almost spring.

But for those in the know, Triumph Valley is really known for their dim sum menu! Off the beaten path, you have to take State Highway 167, as its just south of the large IKEA store. But definitely a culinary landmark if you are a constant diner of Chinese cuisine, and dim sum afficianado. There are only three dim sum, or dumpling lunch providers in or around the City of Renton (technically two). This is one of them, and if you are not early, it can get really crowded, especially on weekends. But the staff bravely soldiers-on with their dilligent service. The restaurant's ambiance takes advantage of its interior with strategic lighting in their dining hall. Very utilitarian, while trying to ensure a little bit of style. They also modernize the experience with electronic waiting and ordering system on portable touch screens. It actually helps the service. No paper. As for me, my focus is on the dim sum. All of my favorites are there. And, as diner of one, it was hard not to want to order everything. So, I ordered the "basics" of a dim sum lunch. One order of Shiu Mai, one order of Har Gow, and one order steamed BBQ Pork. It was pretty much all you need along with an order of tea, as well as a Diet Coke to wash it all down. There were other traditional dim sum selections, but I knew my tummy (and wallet) wouldn't absorb it all - as much as I would have liked. Steamed beancurd sheets, beef meatballs, steamed sticky rice in banana leaves... chicken feet, it was all there. The best way is to make a plan, and invite lots of freinds to make sure you can try EVERYTHING! Yes, there are other menu items, like I said, but for Dim Sum dining in Renton, this is the place!!!! See you at Triumph Valley.

The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall leading to ranch 99 (Asian supermarket). I've had this spot pinned on my Google Maps for the longest time but just never had the opportunity to make the drive there. This place was easy to miss if you don't look carefully so I'm glad I saw this recommended by a Seattle foodie I follow on instagram. We ordered the spicy braised beef noodles and steamed dumplings to share since we weren't that hungry. The braised beef noodles BLEW ME AWAY. The broth was so rich and savory, my mom commented that it tasted better than the one at din tai fung (we are frequent visitors & I agree) and the noodles were chewy (I love thick noodles!!). The dumplings were very juicy and flavorful but nothing too special. Service was prompt and servers were really friendly. There were so many other dishes on the menu featuring traditional Chinese dishes that looked delicious and so I do want to come back to try those when I am hungry! Definitely a hidden gem for good Asian food :)

It's inside Great Wall Mall, so even with the big parking lot, it stays busy because of Ranch 99. The restaurant has about 6-7 round tables -- perfect for family gatherings. For this visit, I came in a group of 5 to celebrate Mother's Day a day early. Even with that, we had to put our name down on a waitlist, and even wait longer than usual since we did not make a reservation ahead of time through the phone. We did eventually get seated about an hour later and got a big table with the rotating glass in the middle for our family-style eating. For it being really busy and people coming in and out everywhere inside, food came out even faster! I swear it took like 15 or so minutes for all the dishes we got to arrive, and they are huge portions. - Lemon chicken: I always ask for the sauce on the side for this one. This is the only place I know of that uses chicken breast for the meat and not chicken thighs like most other Chinese restaurants do. Chicken tempura is crispy and chicken itself is juicy and really hot. Lemon sauce came on a bigger-than-expected bowl. - Mustard green and sliced pork soup: we asked for this one without the salty egg. Essentially a very clean soup with tofu, veggies, egg whites and small pieces of sliced pork. - Lotus root with fresh squid and peanut: lotus roots were a little crunchy, pretty nice dish overall with the peanuts putting their nutty mark throughout the ingredients. - Salt and pepper sole fillet: very salty but to the point where you don't need any sort of sauce. Came in very piping hot. - Ong cai/water spinach: pretty standard for most Chinese restaurants. Clean and a needed veggie among all the fried and salty dishes we got. - Singaporean style noodles: one of my favorites to get. Curry taste is prevalent, and was maybe a little too spicy for my parents to eat. - Razor clams: not a fan of these but I didn't taste any sand grains when I had a bite, so this was cleaned very well. - Lamb pot: lamb was a little touch to chew, and the fried tofu skins carried a lot more flavor for some reason. This was a humongous meal and we were all very satisfied! From other visits we were considering getting their slow cooked herb soup for this visit but it would be $16 per person so we did pass on it. That being said, dishes here are priced reasonably, and portions are really huge. Highly recommend here for a great meal for large parties!
