We sat down and then...nothing. No greeting, no water, no "I'll be right with you." Just a lot of staff standing around while we waited 30 minutes for the first hello and a glass of water. It felt like no one owned the table or the section--frustrating and avoidable. The pacing was all over the place. Pho hit the table fast, but the second dish didn't show for another 25 minutes. When the beef teriyaki finally arrived, it was a miss--overcooked, chewy and rubbery, nothing like what it should be. All told, two dishes took two hours from order to finish. That's ridiculous for a casual meal. Please train the team to greet within a few minutes, drop water right away, and coordinate ticket times so plates land together. I wanted to like this place, but the service made it a major disappointment.

    Fried whole rock fish

Great service. A reservation would be helpful but the waitlist was short. Huge selection of Chinese and Vietnamese selections from Pho to Fried whole fish! We had the Singapore noodles and a whole fried rock fish. The noodles are the thin type with shrimp, char sui, veggies, and an ever so slight spice. Wonderful! The rock fish was fried crisp Nd barely or no salt added before frying. It's served w spring greens, marinated daikon and carrots, and a side of sweet chili sauce . Delicious. The hostess said everything was good at 8 and that she gained weight working there. Lol 8 is open until 1:00 am. I guess there are hungry people at the casino!!

Mountain roll, honey walnut prawn roll, spider roll, and Seattle roll

They're located inside Muckleshoot Casino near the smoking area. It was busy on a Saturday evening so I suggest joining the online waitlist before you arrive. They said it would be an hour wait but we got our table sooner, maybe 40 min? The decor was very nice and fancy. Even the water was fancy and served in a glass bottle lol. Everything was pricy but delicious! The sashimi combination was about $60 and comes with a big bowl of fresh sashimi and a small plate of tuna and cucumber rolls. We also ordered the the mountain roll, Seattle roll, spider roll, and honey walnut prawn roll. Spider roll and Seattle rolls were crispy with fried tempura inside. Honey walnut prawn roll had a cheesy filling topped with crispy honey walnut prawns. The mountain roll was the biggest roll and had a ton of crab filling and fried tempura. They were all delicious but my favorites were the honey walnut prawn roll and mountain roll. The Thai seafood soup came with rice noodles and had plenty of seafood like shrimps, mussel, clams, fish, etc. You can also opt for rice but we chose rice noodles, which honestly wasn't that much considering how much soup you're getting. The soup tastes like Vietnamese canh chua but more spicy and sour. You could definitely taste the citrusy flavor. It comes in a giant bowl and is great for sharing! There was so much in that bowl so we packed it to-go. We were looking forward to trying the squid salad after hearing a lot of people rave about it but unfortunately it was sold out. Instead, we ordered a plate of honey walnut prawn and sweet and sour chicken. Both were delicious and plentiful! Customer service was friendly and great. I would be back, especially for the sushi!

Close up of the INSANE Honey-walnut shrimp roll!! I'll be dreaming about this!! Unbelievable

Was excited to try this place, we LOVE SUSHI & ASIAN FOOD!! We got a good deal on the hotel after Thanksgiving on Cyber Monday, so we stayed two nights. Not sure that was so smart putting in $1K in the slots over two days... ugh. But this restaurant (reservations recommended especially Fri-Sun)) We had 3 sushi rolls, 2cups of soup(nice that a cup was good size) hot & soup + miso, both very good. Lastly we ordered the calamari appetizer/salad. It was sadly over fried, rubbery/dry. We should have sent back, but hubby was determined to eat it as the greens/dressing good. Service good. But the show stopper people is the WALNUT SHRIMP SUSHI ROLL!!!! We've had our share of great sushi but this concept in a roll is beyond beyond!!! We will be back for that and more sushi plus experience other great items on the menu!!

Pre-Anniversary date. Mostly this place is always busy but we got seated right away. The presentation of the food being delivered to tables were breathtaking hard to make choices from the menu, but we decided to go with the perking duck with sides. Toasting with a glass of plum wine we absolutely enjoyed our meal.

Make a reservation before coming, otherwise you might end up waiting because it's in the casino and there are a lot of people using their comps to eat here. The service was efficient and our orders came out quick. We ordered several different dishes and ate family style. The food was good. The mongolian chicken was our favorite dish. The beef and broccoli was second. The general tsao's chicken was more breaded than we like and over sauced. The seafood crispy chow mein was not crispy. The salt and pepper shrimp were overcooked, which made it hard to peel the shell off the shrimp. The poke was not what we expected. Did not remind me of poke flavor at all. Overall the food was good enough, but not the best chinese food. If I'm at the casino and want some chinese food, I'll eat here. Otherwise, I would not drive here just for the food.

The only edible thing was the soup. The general chicken was like they took frozen chicken nuggets and threw them in the worst version of sauce, the shumai tasted like rotten beef, the chow main... it had no flavor and was slimy. Skip this place and get Panda Express. Oh also there was pieces of wood in our food... like a wooden spoon broke in the soup. Yes wood not a root or any type of ingredient that should be in there.

We've recently been going to Muckleshoot and this place is always packed on weekend nights but we came on a Sunday afternoon and we were seated right away and our server was the sweetest person ever 10/10 experience with her The service was great and we were able to quickly place our orders and food came out shortly after We ordered Crispy house chowmein - pretty good Fried rice - not bad pretty good Mongolian beef - yummy Muckleshoot sushi roll - yummy Overall - decent food and quality and definitely will be back since we be going to Muckleshoot often but will not be there for the evening though it's too busy for that

Quick service and food was decent. The honeybwalnut shrimp, crispy chow mein were pretty tasty. A bit over priced in comparison to China town prizes.

When I'm at the shoot, this is my go to spot for food. Came here for a chill night with some friends. We yolo'd and got the sushi boat, well worth! Came with a whole bunch of different sashimis. It also came with 2 rolls. I'm not sure what the rolls were but one seemed like it had fried shrimp tempura in it. Regardless, they both were good. We ordered the garlic chicken I would say it was kind of meh. The drinks however were really good! I don't remember what drink I ordered but it was very fruity and tropical and wasn't toooo strong. The service was okay. We had to flag down other people but our server did check up on us a few times. Overall I'll still be coming back whenever I'm here!

Maui roll it was so good I snapped a photo after taking a few bites already

I was actually really surprised at how good the food was! Like really good! I think the calamari was the best I've ever had, the flavor combo of the sweet chili sauce mixed with a hint of wasabi, omg so good. It came on top of a bed of spring mix, so you could eat it more like a salad if you wanted to. I also ordered the Maui Roll which was amazing, and my friend got the honey walnut shrimp. We can't wait to come back again.

Dirty and Dusty upper sushi counter

I have tried other restaurants at the casino but first time eating here. I was given the choice of the sushi bar counter or a table. Good service from Sary. I ordered a draft beer and it came right away. I also ordered salt and pepper lobster which was pretty good, and shao mai which was very disappointing. Almost no flavor or taste to ones I have had at other restaurants. The counter at the sushi bar in front of me was sticky and so was the next place. The menus looked they needed cleaning too. There was upper counter between the sushi bar and the lower eating area. After I noticed the stickiness, I looked at the upper counter and it was dusty in many places up there and other items sitting there. Ended up with some unusual people next to me on both sides. An English-speaking couple who seemed happy arguing and swearing at each other, and the other side was an Asian lady who was missing many teeth, and seemed to be a regular casino patron, restaurant patron or off-duty restaurant staff who was making many requests of Sary.

Wow! I've lived in Washington state over 20 years now and thus was the first time I've been inside Muckleshoot Casino. What a great experience!. Decided to try the 8 Asian restaurant after reading some good reviews. We went on a weeknight, so it was not overly crowded. The dining area was spacious and allowed a view into casino. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. Our server came over to introduce herself and was very friendly and kind. We decided on the Mongolian Beef, a side of vegetables, and a dragon roll. Everything was delicious. Throughout the meal, our server kept an ion our table and made sure our water glasses were full at all times and removed empty plates, the entrées were great and the portion size is generous. Do you have a clear view of the kitchen and sushi bar in the back of the restaurant. Everything was spotless. Very impressed with the level of cleanliness and it's obvious that the people care who work there. We could've had a good Chinese meal at many places, but the service made the difference. Kudos to the staff!

Most dishes were delicious, though a few dim sum items were slightly over steamed - the wrappers were very soft and stuck to the parchment paper. Several of us also tried different ramens, which had a rich broth and thick pieces of char siu. The portion size made it a great value. Prices felt fair for the quality and service. I do wish the large tables has a lazy Susan to make sharing dishes easier. Overall, I'd come back, but it's not necessarily a top pick if you're looking for standout dim sum and ramen.

I don't need a chef wildly experimenting with my siu mai, or dabbling with my baked hom bow. My analysis of Sun Sui Wah, very nice interior, ok service, solid food. Was it a few dollars more than similar fare in Seattle, yes. But I also didn't have to drive to Seattle, not to mention put up with the street spectacle that now exists in the International District. It gets 5 stars because it delivers as promised.

Service : nonexistent Food: 9/10…read morePrice: standard but not worth for the horrible service. We spent about $600 for a party of 9. Would rather go to Diamond Bay, Tasty Szechuan, Royal Kitchen, (can see why they're busy and packed on a holiday weekday night and Sun Sui Wah is not) Went here for dinner for my grandma's 89th birthday with a party of 9 at 7pm. We ordered dishes typical of a 10 course meal including crab, Peking duck, live fish, rice, noodles, veggies, seafood, etc. The food was really good and didn't take too long to come out. Everything tasted good and we were all enjoying the family meal together and that's why I am giving 1 star because we will not be coming back. The service was absolutely horrible; ruined our dinner and wasted an extra 1-1.5hr of everybody's time. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant and the servers started having dinner together at a table instead of working. I would understand if we were high maintenance customers or were giving them attitude but we did not. My cousin and I have both been FOH and BOH staff so we try to be understanding and patient when it comes to service especially coming from a Chinese background too. However, we asked for water several times, they never refilled anyone's water or the tea even once at this point it was end of dinner and 5 out of the 6 of us had completely empty glasses for about 30 minutes. We finally got water when we signaled to the Busser and he went to tell the same server again. We finished eating and decided to pay first so my grandma wouldn't try to pay. We tipped 18% off the bill since we were a large party and I wasn't about to punish all the workers for some water but what happened after made everything much worse. We asked for togo boxes and the server lady just dropped them off stared at our table and left. I was already wondering why she was seeming to be upset but seems like we were interrupting their dinner because 3 or 4 chinese servers were eating together at the table at the front when my sister's boyfriend went to pay. (That's why we didnt have water) I don't mind the workers needing to eat because I have been in their shoes before but please provide some service if you still have customers inside the restaurant waving at you. We wanted to leave just as much as they probabaly wanted to close at 10 pm(it was around 830ish now) We noticed that the cake they had been holding for us in the fridge was just sitting at another table in the restaurant. They saw us go grab it ourselves. We packed all the leftovers and started putting our dirty dishes and stuff onto the table because the workers were doing nothing. They saw that we were done but didn't want to stop their 8:30pm dinner I guess. Finally we asked them to bring us plates and clear the table. I have never had to ask the Chinese servers at any restaurant to clear the table before dessert, normally they do it for you, especially after you just tipped them almost $100 lol. The Chinese servers sent the bus boy to clear our table and guess what returned to their dinner! We again asked them for plates for the cake. It took so long to the point my sister missed picking up her prescription at 9pm. Not sure if the dim sum service is better but I'm pretty sure those 5 star service reviews are from the chinese servers' friends and/or family. Or the servers are taught to do nothing besides get the order and drop it off. Unfortunaly we will not be spending money at this establishment again because of the service and will be telling our family and friends in Issaquah and Bellevue to choose better places for sit down family meals. Hope others enjoy their meals because the food is still good

But they lose 3 stars from me because they use some kind of industrial strength cleaning chemical to wipe down the tables. Hard to enjoy your meal when all you can smell is the same chemical they use to mop the floors at QFC. If they are using a spray bottle to clean at the next table, you'll get a cloud of harsh cleaning chemical up your nostrils while you eat. I've had to rinse off and wiped down my own table with a napkin dampened with tea or water in order to enjoy my meal. When I mentioned this to staff, they were dismissive and haven't changed a thing in over a year when I first brought it to their attention. They should only be using something like quat sanitizer, that doesn't smell, to clean the tables. NOT something that is used for floors or bathrooms. and on a side note: if you decide to mop underneath another table while people are dining next to it, please say "excuse me" or just wait. Instead of almost hitting people in the head with a mop handle without saying a word. Also not great for a dining experience. I have worked in restaurants and F&B management. I know something about these things. You shouldn't use anything on a table for diners that you wouldn't use on a food preparation surface. How many times has a dumpling got away from you and bounced around on the table and you snag it and consume it, because you assume the table isn't being cleaned with floor cleaner? If you agree with me, please say something to the staff, and maybe they'll eventually listen. This is a real shame. The food quality is quite good. I might just do take-out from now on. There are other high quality Chinese and Asian dining options, that's the bright side of living in this area.

This custom was preserved in Sweden and gradually evolved into the Smörgåsbord (Scandinavian cold buffet), which is the direct and continuous ancestor of the modern buffet. · France (18th-19th century): The French adopted the word "Buffet" (originally meaning a sideboard or serving table) to describe this self‑service style of dining and promoted it among high society. · Perfection in Japan: The modern buffet model we know today--featuring cold dishes, hot dishes, desserts, and a wide variety of options--was established by the Imperial Hotel Tokyo in 1958. · Las Vegas: The now‑popular "all‑you‑can‑eat" model originated in Las Vegas, USA, in the 1940s. Casinos offered cheap or even free buffets to keep gamblers on the premises, a strategy that quickly became widespread. · Introduction to China: The buffet was introduced to China in the 1930s, initially appearing only in foreign‑funded hotels. It was not until the late 1980s that it reached the general public through tourist joint‑venture hotels. Taste: There is a huge variety of options, covering dozens of items including Chinese stir-fried dishes, Western food, Japanese cuisine, teppanyaki, fruit, seafood, salad, as well as drinks and ice cream. I mainly tried the Chinese stir-fried dishes, boiled shrimp, and teppanyaki. Considering the price per person, I think every item met my expectations. Service - unexpectedly good: From asking how many people in our party at the entrance, to guiding us to a table and asking if the seat was comfortable, to explaining the dining process, and clearing plates during the meal - all of it was very good. Room for improvement: Some of the items are pre-made dishes that only need simple deep-frying or grilling. Pre-made dishes can be categorized into a few types: easy to cook, easy to eat, easy to heat. Based on my experience in the industry, the essence of pre-made dishes is really an issue of trust. If the selection is done properly and customers don't experience any adverse reactions after eating, then it's a good business.
