Great food. Portion on the chicken and rice plate is huge! Very flavorful! Will return for sure!!

Very nice pho spot. Food was quick to come out and very delicious. The servers were sweet and the price is just right!

Com tam suon bi cha

Pretty standard Vietnamese restaurant in terms of both great quality and expected on-and-off service. I came here on a Saturday evening around 7:15pm. Coming in, it's a very casual and actually quite homely spot with an ample number of tables for both small and semi-large groups, some of which were occupied when I got here. It took a while for a server to show me to a table, and even then also take my order. Other parts of service like getting utensils were slow too, but somehow this didn't affect my experience too much. I got their com tam suon bi cha, which has broken rice (my favorite), grilled pork ribs, an egg pie and shredded pork skin. Very simple and standard whenever I go to Vietnamese restaurants, which is also to say I was very happy and satisfied with the food I got here. Grilled pork was easy to chew and flavored very well. Egg pie was mild and worked best with the provided fish sauce. Shredded pork skin was great as well, and broken rice is a big reason why I love going for com dishes! Because I wasn't sure about service, I walked up to the counter to pay for my meal once I saw someone else who also finished eating do the same. Prices here are relatively cheap compared to similar Viet restaurants, and I also heard that former Seattle Seahawks player Doug Baldwin also loves this place. That's two random positives for a place where service was a little sporadic! Regardless, I'd come back if I'm around the area.

I ordered the chicken and shrimp with rice noodles and it was delicious!!! Very hefty portion and a good price. The shrimp was so tender and flavorful and the chicken was as well. Love the fresh veggies and peanuts for added crunch and the fish sauce tied everything together perfectly. 10/10 meal!!

The chicken & rice plate was good! I asked for a side of broth (pho broth). The pho broth was perfect. The portion of the rice plate was really big too and it's inexpensive here. It's a small family owned local business. I went in on a Saturday & it was busy and there are only two people up front helping serve and take orders so be patient. It's a spot where locals would only know about it. The owner is always so kind though so I give them grace when I am here. I've had the bun bo hue here before and that's solid too!

I really like this family owned pho. The place is very quaint and nice. They even have WiFi tho the manager said that the WiFi is down for the day. Service was quick and friendly. Many people do takeout. My family and I and a fe w patrons filled the restaurant on a light Tuesday. We ordered the pho and also the teriyaki chicken. The chicken was lightly grilled and the sauce was sweet. The pho noodles were nice and chewy. Solid A

Quick service and food came out quickly. Very reasonable prices and good food! The interior is fairly small and quiet.

The pho was delicious and the price was very affordable! I only wished there were more onions provided, otherwise no complaints for the food. Don't really expect any amazing service here or anything it seems like a quick sit down and eat place. Will come back for the reasonable prices if I'm craving pho!

I've been back 2 more times for a total of 3 visits. Once for dine in and once for takeout. I was very surprised by my dine in experience. We got a lot more food for the vermicelli noodle bowl and a lot more meat in the pho. Tables and chairs are sticky and sitting by the front door is cold so I don't enjoy the dine in experience at all. We got 2 pork chop rice plates and 1 tofu noodle plate for takeout. These were really surprisingly good. I would stop by here again for the rice plates and not the pho.

It's been a while since I came back here. Went to lunch with my sister who was in the area. Service is very minimal here, so don't come here with high expectation. Upon arrival, find a seat and sit down. Someone will come with the menu. I ordered the Hainanese chicken. It's still as good as I remember. They used to serve only weekends, but it looks like you can order it anytime now. The portion is huge! My sister ordered the com tam suon bi cha, instead of the pork chop, she asked for the short ribs, which they were able to accommodate. I originally ordered the fresh blended strawberry drink, except they didn't have it, and gave the powdered bubble tea version instead. It's okay, but I wouldn't recommend ordering this. It was fairly crowded with people, so can be fairly noisy which is a lot better than some Renton Highland establishment where it may feel like you're in a library.

I've been hearing a lot about Anchovies and Salt, glad I finally made it out! It's located in…read moreRenton right off the water, so you get a beautiful view of Lake Washington if you sit outside. Parking is tough; there's barely any street parking. Park in the garage and then validate your parking; it looks pricey but it's completely free if you validate it. I love the attention to detail on the menu. It's split by region, which is cool - I am not familiar with Vietnamese regional cuisines, so scrolling through the menu is a learning experience for me. - Northern crab rolls: 2/5, felt a bit heavy for an app - Beef skewers: 5/5, really nice sauce - Golden pho pillows: 4/5, interesting concept and I liked the pillows - Water fern cakes: 4/5, another interesting concept - Hanoi pork vermicelli: 3/5, generally good but didn't feel special - Fish sauce caramel coffee: 5/5, I quite enjoyed this Overall, the food was good. I wasn't impressed with the service, though. We ordered 3 starters, a small dish, and a main dish. All our food came out around the same time, randomly... which led to our food getting cold because we couldn't eat fast enough. I was disappointed that they didn't think through the serving order. I was also served the wrong drink; of course they corrected that. And finally, perhaps because we sat in the back, it was really hard to get our server's attention at the end! I'd definitely come back despite that. The food was good and it's such a pretty location.

I actually came here when they first opened, and unfortunately it wasn't good at all. To be fair, I…read moreknow new restaurants often have some hiccups in the beginning, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed things would improve over time. Recently, I kept hearing from people that it had gotten a lot better, which is why I decided to bring my mom here for Mother's Day since she loves Vietnamese food. Overall, I would still describe this visit as pretty mediocre. It was not terrible, but it was definitely not worth the price point in my opinion, especially after spending over $400. There were a few dishes I genuinely enjoyed. What we ordered: Liked / okay: * Pho-spiced ribs: tender and flavorful, but expensive for what it is * Lemongrass pork belly: the standout dish. Crispy, juicy, and very flavorful * Shaking wagyu salad: the beef was tender, but it needed more salt. It could benefit from some more oyster sauce or fish sauce * Water spinach with garlic: Good * Southern pork egg rolls: Crispy and enjoyable, but the dipping sauce tasted watered down and lacked flavor Didn't really enjoy: * Clay pot fish: overly sweet and quite fatty. The fish itself was tender * King salmon sour soup: also very sweet. It needed more acidity and sourness, like tamarind * Villagers pork belly: the only noticeably salty dish. It had a strong porky fermented flavor that was good, but it really needs rice and fresh vegetables like cucumber to balance it * Lemongrass clams: fairly plain. The dipping sauce was the same watered-down sauce as the egg rolls * Calamansi margarita: extremely sour and overpowering * Spiked coconut with rum: it was warm, which made it less enjoyable Overall, most dishes leaned too sweet for my taste. Southeast Asian food is usually a balance of sweet, spicy, salty, and sour. Here, the sweetness often overpowered everything else. There were also quite a few items sold out when we arrived around 5 PM. I was not sure if they had been sold out for a while or just for the evening. As for service, ordering is done through an iPad. The first one to two rounds of food came out quickly. However, anything we ordered afterward, like extra rice or additional sides, either took a very long time or never came at all. We also tried using the call function on the iPad, but no one came over. I am not sure if they were short staffed or if the system was not being monitored. The restaurant itself was not busy at the time. Since many of the entrées are meant to be eaten with rice, this disrupted the flow of the meal quite a bit. At one point, we just ate everything without rice because we were hungry and did not want to keep waiting. That said, the staff we did interact with were very kind. Overall, I do not think I would come back for a full dinner again. I might stop in just for happy hour drinks and a few small bites since they have a nice water view!

The last place I went to had clouds of fruit flies, the floor was sticky and the table looked like a science experiment (the Pho was good though, but ewww). But this isn't about Pho places in Covington. This is about Happy Autumn in Renton. I needed to be in Renton along 4th Ave and since I don't get to eat good Pho much anymore, I saw that Happy Autumn was along the route I'd be driving. My first impression. The food handling rating is EXCELLENT and the restaurant looked clean. The staff was delightful, professional, full of smiles, and had my order ready for pick-up right on time. I got the grilled chicken Pho to go, which is risky because 'to-go' meals can be skimped on since people don't tend to complain on meals to go from their house. I was NOT disappointed. They piled up all the goodies. Extra Sriracha, jalapenos, cilantro and basil. Lots of chicken and noodles and just a touch of sprouts (they are my least favorite Pho item). The broth was fragrant, flavorful and by the time I got home 45 minutes later, still hot. I put it all together and enjoyed some of the best Pho I've ever eaten locally. HIGHLY recommend.

Staff was nice, attentive and the tables and restaurant seemed very clean. We ordered pho, chicken summer rolls and a grilled chicken rice plate. The broth didn't have a lot of depth. It was fine but not enough to warrant a return. The grilled chicken was not exactly grilled. It tasted more like boiled chicken in a sauce and it was very sweet. I will keep looking for other pho restaurants to try. We have visited I Love Pho and Square Lotus in the Factoria area for probably 2 decades so need a change sometimes.

One member of the group is vegetarian, hence a reason why we ended up going to a vegetarian restaurant for our first meal during our trip. Blossom Vegetarian is located on the southwest corner of 3rd and Burnett. We came in three cars, and the lot immediately in front of the restaurant can only hold about a dozen cars. The adjacent lot has more spots, but all three of us were able to find spots easily when we arrived. That's likely because we had arrived a few minutes prior to opening, so the door was locked when I tried to open it. Right at 11 AM, an employee came out with a signicade to place in front of the front door. Shortly afterwards, we entered and sat at a table for 8, which I found kind of odd because they had tables of 4 and 8, but not 6. Our table had a sign advertising a limited time special, which was Hanoi Beef Fried Rice at the time*. However, we were interested in the lunch specials, which were available weekdays from 11 AM to 2 PM. Knowing that our schedule wouldn't have allowed for a lunch special any other time during our trip, we went for lunch specials, which mainly consists of rice combos. Rice combos at Blossom Cafe come with rice, either jasmine or brown, the latter of which would incur a $1 upcharge. The combo also includes an option for a juice or coffee, and if you choose either, you get $1 off. With plenty of rice combos to choose from, two of them chose the same lunch combo while the rest of us went with different lunch combos, but shared family-style with one another. I chose the Blossom Rice Combo, which consists of shredded "pork", tofu pie, "beef" skewer, and vegetables alongside a lime vinaigrette dressing. I'm not too certain of the other combos, but I do know that the Cashew Chicken was another combo, and that's because one of my groupmates heard it was their most popular dish. Since I prefer brown rice over white (jasmine) rice, I opted for the $1 upcharge for the brown rice. Between the coffee and the juice, I went with a coffee since I was needing some after a long morning of traveling. They have four choices of Vietnamese Coffee: Cheese Cafe, Cafe Latte, Dalgona Cafe, and Cafe Sua. I went with the Cafe Latte, which consists of both condensed and whole milk. The coffee drinks can come either hot or iced. For whatever reason, everybody else ordered the iced drinks, but I went with hot knowing I'd have to brave the pretty chilly weather outside. It took about 13 minutes for the kitchen to prepare our orders, and then we feasted! The coffee was ready about a minute before the main dishes arrived. Everything tasted good, but I wouldn't say great, though that's probably because I'm not vegetarian. However, rest assured that all their meats aren't real meat, and this is indicated by the use of quotation marks encompassing the meat names. You can definitely tell these meats are truly vegetarian, though it took a few bites for me to discern the vegetarianism of the "beef" skewer. The brown rice tasted kind of odd. I don't quite know how to describe it, but it was way different than the brown rice I'm used to e.g. Flame Broiler. The rice tasted pretty meh by itself, but exhibited a much more elevated flavor profile after adding the lime vinaigrette, which I'm thinking was actually a fish sauce. But that Cafe Latte was smoooooooooooth. Just what I needed after not getting enough z's the previous evening. Since I ordered mine hot, my coffee came in a mug while the others who ordered iced coffee got theirs in a wine glass. These coffees supplemented the glasses of water we were given when we placed our orders. Service, unfortunately, was quite slow, so exercise patience! We were the first customers to eat there, and there were a few others who came in after we did. We stayed there for over an hour even though I think we could have gotten in and out in much less time. They didn't really check on us even though there were very few other customers inside as well; I guess we were supposed to proactively go up to the counter to let them know when we were ready to order as well as pay. 2026 calendars were available for purchase at a cost of $20, cash only. I don't know how many people would constitute a "large" party, but we were considered one, which resulted in an 18% gratuity fee that was already added to our individual bills. One of our groupmates, who was fluent in Vietnamese, needed to let the server know prior to paying. So overall, Blossom Vegetarian is a decent spot for vegetarians; I just wouldn't recommend for a quick lunch break since service is nowhere near as quick. * My visit was back in November. I waited until January to post this review as I took a brief hiatus from posting reviews upon traveling to the Pacific Northwest.

We ordered the wonton soup with ramen noodles, which was quite good and comforting. The shrimp fresh rolls were also good, fresh, and flavorful, though they definitely could have used a lot more peanut sauce--having more would have made them much better. One downside that's hard to ignore was the cleanliness. The floor was extremely dirty, and it appeared that when tables were being cleared, food was simply swept onto the floor. The edges around the tables, walls, and planters were also very dusty and dirty. It honestly made us wonder what "extras" might be making their way into the food. The food itself was solid, and there's definitely potential here, but the cleanliness and slow service took away from what could have been a much better experience. With better attention to hygiene and pacing, this could easily be a five-star spot.

We arrived and it was pretty busy and we weren't sure if we seated ourselves or someone else seats us as it took a few minutes for us to get noticed. After a little of standing awkwardly near the entrance, someone noticed us and motioned us to sit near the check out area which you do need to go up and pay rather than wait for someone to drop off a check. We were given waters and menus and given a decent amount of time to decide what we wanted. My friends got a lemonade with tea, Thai tea, shaking beef and combo vermicelli while my boyfriend got the shaking beef and egg rolls and I got the Bun Bo Hue and spring rolls. My boyfriend got his egg rolls and I didn't get my spring rolls until after everyone's' order came in so I have a feeling that the employee who took our order forgot or the kitchen forgot. There was no apology or anything for it either. I got my food first, after several minutes the shaking beef came out and after another a while my friend got his vermicelli bowl. Luckily we weren't pressed for time but it made it awkward as we didn't get our food at the same time and it took a bit to get them. I am a slow eater so I guess it worked out that I got mine first but I also didn't receive my spring rolls until I brought it up once we received everything else. The food was phenomenal and our friends said their drinks were perfect too. I did enjoy my Bun Bo Hue, though I did make it a bit more spicier with their chili oil. They have plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate all party sizes. They do have a bathroom but you have to go through a long, scary hallway to get to it. The tables have probably the cutest container for their chili oil but I appreciate that they have napkins, sriracha, hoisin, and utensils on the table. The employees don't really check in often and they didn't really come by to fill our waters until we were down with our meal. The service was also pretty much non-existent, it wasn't rude but just felt rushed and cold.
