Crispy Garlic Chicken

The food, service and ambiance were all excellent! Every single thing we ate was fantastic. Not pictured were the Crab Delight (crab rangoons) and angel wings. They got eaten before I could snap a pic!

Service was good, food was good, place was clean. Came here after seeing a movie. It was our girls day out. We treated one of our friends who has been going through so much, and she chose this place. Since I lived in Bangkok, I've been picky when it comes to Thai food, but if my non Asian friends decide to dine at places they're used to, then I support them. All in all it was a nice experience. Every Thai place I dine at I try their fried trout salad just to compare. And the Thai iced tea also. I make my own Thai iced tea at home, so again I'm a bit picky. Our server was great. I forgot her name.

Panang Curry - highly recommend!

I've popped by here for lunch and dinner, trying a lot of stuff on the menu, and haven't had a bad experience. The staff is nice, place is clean, and the tom yum fried rice is my new favorite thing. Would recommend!

It's been a LONG time since I've had good Thai food. Mostly because I moved to Gig Harbor and good Asian food is hard to come by. I met my siblings here for lunch. My first time, but my sister's 3rd time. I was amazed at how good everything was! Like I said, I haven't had good Thai food in a long time, so I didn't really feel like Thai food. My brother, who has been here countless times, picked this place because he said it was fast. We got there at 12:45pm, all of our orders came by 1:08pm, and paid at 1:25pm! Our food: 1) complimentary bowl of delicious chicken broth with a little bit of rice, chicken, veggies It helped whet our appetite! 2) fresh garden rolls The dipping sauce was delicious and the rolls were super fresh! 3) chicken wings 6 pieces, cooked to perfection, and delicious sweet Thai chili sauce. 4) phad kee mao with shrimp My brother orders this dish every time - and I understand why! So yummy. 5) red curry with seafood & phad thai add-on The curry was 2* spicy (their lowest spiciness for this dish) - I think i got most of the spice with my first bite the rest was good. Their shrimp from the phad kee mao and red curry was cooked to perfection! Quite generous too. It came to about $27/person, but it was honestly worth it. We ate everything there and it was delicious - no leftovers. The staff was pleasant and the waitress was knowledgeable in all the items. They have earned the place of "my favorite Thai restaurant" in all of Washington. Cannot find better Thai food!

The cuisine is delicious. The service is very good and the staff is attentive. The Prawns in a Blanket are a recommended appetizer. For the main course: The Panang Angel Wings are not a common dish in most Thai restaurants so this was a treat and done very nicely. For dessert, I had their Long Doughnut with custard. It was Delicious! All of their dishes are made from scratch. The decor is comfortable and very clean. At the end of the meal, I was presented with another table's check. That was the only mishap in my experience. I will be returning.

We got seated at a small table and when we got our foods, it was really tight to maneuver all of the plates around. Anyway, service was kind of non-existant except for when we got our drinks and food. As for our appetizers, we ordered the Garden Fresh Rolls, Chicken Wings and Papaya Salad. For the entrees, we got the Drunken Noodles, Pad Whoon Sen, Beef with Broccoli and Crispy Garlic Chicken. Ratings for each: Score out of 5 Fresh Rolls - 3 out of 5, needed better dipping sauce and maybe pork or shrimp as protein Chicken Wings - 4 of 5 Papaya Salad - 3 of 5, had too much shrimp paste in it Drunken Noodles - 4 of 5 Pad Whoon Sen - 4 of 5 Beef with Broccoli - 5 out of 5 Crispy Garlic Chicken - 4 of 5, meat had a little too much batter which didn't properly fry enough. But flavor was great! Service - 2 of 5: barely came around to refill water or give us extra napkins Restaurant environment was pleasant. Overall experience was a 3 out of 5. Negatives were the small tables and lack of service.

This place is awesome! The service is excellent, ambiance is perfect and the food is absolutely wonderful. The food comes out so quick that you almost think it's not yours. Until you realize, it's exactly what you ordered. If you get one thing here GET THE CRISPY GARLIC CHICKEN! Its phenomenal!!! The breading on the chicken tastes homemade and not exactly like other breadings I've tried. It's not overly crispy and pairs well with the garlic sauce that it's smothered in. They do not skimp on the sauce! In fact you'll have tasty left over sauce to take home. You get 6 large pieces of boneless white meat chicken and it is quite a hefty portion for one person! Definitely shareable. The curry is delightfully creamy and you just want to drink it. And drink it and drink it. It's honestly like the best soup ever made. It had a decent amount of peppers and chicken in it. I only wish there was more! I will order this again and again. The pad Thai was also delicious. It was great as leftovers. I'm glad I got pork so I didn't overdue it on all the other chicken dishes. Wonderfully delightful meal that I cannot make at home. Worth every penny.

Always my go-to restaurant in Kent. Every dish is delicious and amazing, but my favorite it the Noodle Soup. However, I was recently there and the noodle soup had thicker rice noodles. Please bring back the thin rice noodles for the noodle soup. Not sure if it was a chef error or menu change. Try any dish off the menu... they are all fabulous! Service is excellent. Food relatively fast out of the kitchen. Prices have been raised, but in line with dining out in King County. Best Thai restaurant in the area, hands down.

I've been to Banyan Tree a few times. It's one of the best restaurants in Kent in my opinion. This visit I just got a dessert to go as I just wanted a little something sweet after seeing a movie at the AMC theater in Kent Station. When I sit down and eat a meal at the restaurant I normally enjoy a delightful Lemongrass martini and get the Thai meatball lettuce wraps and/or Pineapple curry but today I just got the mouth watering fried banana dessert which is like cute little banana egg rolls served with honey and chocolate sauce for dipping and some coconut ice cream on the side. Yummy !! I highly recommend Banyan Tree when you have a hankering for some fabulous Thai food in a lovely upscale setting ! It's a great place for a date night or dinner with friends !

We decided to come here again after having an amazing experience the last time! The worker today…read morewas super friendly too, quick and attentive! We got the usual Thai Fried Rice (chicken) and fried pork! Both was still as good as the first time we got it. We also wanted to try the tom yum and the combo chicken. It was the Hainanese chicken rice and the fried chicken (I forgot what it was called)... 1) the SAUCE that was added for the hainanese chicken was like crack. It was so good, and I forgot to ask him what it was! The rice was really soft and favorable. The fried chile. Was one the breadier side but was still amazing. We also tried the tom yum (with pork), which my partner really enjoyed. I thought it was on the sweeter side but he really loved it. I thought it was still really really good, and they didn't skimp out on the protein or Mushroom either. We'll definitely be back, and hopefully the mangos will be in season for mango sticky rice!

I ordered the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai, both 2 stars, and was pretty disappointed. The Pad See Ew…read morewas lacking flavor; it mostly tasted like noodles and spice, without much flavor from the chicken. It felt like there was no soy sauce at all. The Pad Thai was decent, felt like it was a little dry especially the chicken. I would come back, but I wouldn't order their pad see ew and pad Thai, I'd would try their other menu items to give them another chance, as this was my first time trying them.

Time-to-Drinks: 4 Minutes Time-to-Food: 10 Minutes We stopped in around 8PM on a Friday evening and it was relatively empty. A few people came in for to-go orders while we were sitting around. There were a few parking spaces and the building looks a little sketchy from the outside, but there's cozy indoor seating. I wasn't that hungry, so I split a Pad See Mao with seafood with my friend (4/5). Portions were sufficient for splitting, could definitely finish it on my own if I were a bit hungrier. There was a good amount of balance between vegetables (carrot, broccoli, bell pepper, onion) and seafood (shrimp, squid, and mussels). The spice level was as-expected and very reasonable. Noodle texture was nice and chewy. It wasn't the best pad see mao I've had (especially since it was a bit pricier, around $26 after tax and tip), but it was solid enough that I'd go again if I were in the area. I tried my friend's Grandma Wings, which had a better portion than I expected (I think there were six?). Nice crisp and good flavor, but I didn't think it was anything crazy (3.5/5). The Thai Tea here was too sweet for my taste, personally. My friend enjoyed it. Overall, solid experience here for a fast bite of good Thai food. I'd come back if I was craving Thai in the area.
