So I had it delivered via Uber eats and they did a fine job on delivery I got the Tom Kha soup the flavor was really good but there was an odd amount of onions in there. I did order it with chicken and the chicken was good. Would have been nice to get a small or half order of soup. I also got a pad thai with fried tofu the tofu is excellent, the pad thai noodles did not transport very well they stuck together but their flavor was good. My wife and I found this strip mall Thai restaurant on Yelp when looking in the area for Thai food. The place was pretty empty around 5 pm which made us a bit nervous but it was a Monday night and we thought maybe it's mainly a lunch place. The interior is decorated nicely and the staff was friendly and fairly attentive. My wife and I shared orders of the Panang Curry, "Showing Rama", "Phad Kee Mao" (misspellings were on the receipt) and hot tea with a side of white rice. We order these dishes fairly regularly at most Thai restaurants we frequent and this was our first time at Malakor. We have had better Thai food elsewhere. Both the Panang Curry sauce and the Peanut sauce were watery. Not a fan. The Pad Kee Mao was very normal but not special. With each dish we ordered chicken and normal spice levels for us. Malakor has become my boyfriend's and my date night spot. Since writing my previous review here a year ago, we've probably been here at least 25 times because the food is just too addicting! It is the most authentic Thai food I've had since visiting Thailand, and the dishes are consistently cooked to perfection. 80% of the time, we get PAD SEE EW, YELLOW CURRY, and/or PAD RAMA, but we've also branched out and have tried their GOLDEN NOODLE, PAD KHEE MAO, PUMPKIN CURRY, GARLIC GREEN BEANS, PADH PRIKH KING, and PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE. All dishes we've tried are excellent, but their pad see ew is by far, the BEST pad see ew in the Seattle area. As people who like spice and some heat, we usually order 3 or 4 star spiciness, but 5 stars for the Rama since the peanut sauce tends to make the spice milder. Service is always wonderful. The waiter and waitress are always very friendly and attentive. The interior is clean and modern. We never have trouble getting a seat. Wow. This place might be one of the best Thai Restaurants I've been to. I'm sorry to my OG Thai favorite in California. The ambience is nice here with really cool chairs and music that is a major vibe. The music is modern pop or rap but in a smooth jazz style, I loved it. They had a tv that we were watching as well. Their tables are nicely spaced apart from each other. The food was delicious. We ordered the Zesty Wings, Tom Kha, and Noodles. The Zesty Wings were fried perfectly deliciously and the sauce was a very delightful sour zest. I wish the sauce was a bit thicker so it would stay on the wings. It comes with pickled veggies. The Tom Kha is a huge portion! It was also a perfect balance of sweet and tangy. It's one of my favorite soups and this place knows how to make it slap. We got the noodles three star and with crispy tofu. Their tofu is crisped perfectly. I could sit there and just eat that tofu and be happy. Their noodles were also on the sweeter side but very tasty. I'm weak to spicy so I couldn't eat too much . We finished our meal with mango sticky rice and it came out so warm and delicious. One of my favorite desserts. I had a delightful early lunch here. The food was plated gorgeously tasted amazing. I got yellow curry, Thai iced tea, and mango sticky rice. The Thai tea was very sweet yet rich; exactly how I like it. The curry was scrumptious. I've never had bell peppers in my yellow curry before and there were little crispy bits (of maybe onion?) on top. The mango sticky rice was ripe and warm and sweet. An utter treat. The atmosphere here is great and there's lots of big windows to let in light. Even though it's one room, the differing levels really splits up the space. The music was calming and chill and not too loud. The waitress and waiter also came around so regularly that I didn't feel like I had to flag someone down just to get my check. Right off of 167 not sure how we never seen this place before when it's not even hidden. The restaurant itself is very spacious with ton of seating options. We came on a very slow night - practically got the whole place to ourselves so service was amazing! I did not drop the box but the sauce was leaking out of the box and the pad thai was swimming in it. The noodles were very soggy. After a long shop at nearby IKEA we needed lunch. Based on the prior yelpers suggestions, our our mutual love of Thai food we opted to give Malakor a try. The setting is cute, your typical Thai type decor, mostly clean but a little bit dirty. Not in a a bad way, if you Thai often you know what I mean. I had the tofu pad Thai (my default at any new Thai place). Spicy level 2, because I don't like to punish my face. I'm hind sight I could have gone to a 3 or 4 based on their level of spice. The noodles were great, tofu perfectly fried, just the right amount of peanuts and bean sprouts and a fresh lime wedge on the side. It was a great lunch portion, more than filling but so fresh and tasty you wanted to eat it all. The servers were ok, nothing to write home about. They kept out waters full and generally attended to everyone in the place. We came in on Christmas Day straight from the airport and was craving Thai food. This establishment came up on our list on our way to the hotel and didn't disappoint at all. Even on a rainy day (because PNW) the chef was cooking up some marvelous meals behind the kitchen counter in his "sando" (Hane's sleeveless A-shirt) because its like 100 degrees in there with all the stove burners going on and tossing of the massive woks. The service was friendly and accommodating for the holidays and it just felt nice to be served on Christmas Day. Food was delicous and we finished it ALL. Usually we have leftovers. To the right of the dining area, there's a circular fire pit. The food has been spectacular during each visit. The trout salad was one of my favorite dishes this time. The crispy trout had great texture and the green apple with mixed veggie salad on top tasted like papaya salad! I loved the pad woon sen (stir fried glass noodle) because it's a home style dish that brings great memories to me. My previous visit was fantastic as well. We had the avocado curry, basil chicken, garlic trout, eggplant with chicken, and pork belly. I recommend all the dishes! If you can, order their lunch specials- great value for the price! Everything on their menu is delicious and full of flavor along with huge portions so you have leftovers to take home (if that's your thing). I've had multiple dishes from here and they never cease to amaze me. They have a great large indoor dining area for friends, parties, or even if you want a business lunch.
