We ordered takeout for 6 people and all of us were disappointed. We ordered 3 pad thai and 3 pad see ew. The noodles tasted greasy on both dishes. For the pad see ewe specifically, it the color on the noodles were more white, indicating less sauce was mixed into the dish. They got our order ready in the time they provided. Although I am not a fan of Thai food I have eaten at more than one place that had FAR better food. I recently had the Drunken Noodles with chicken and ordered Tom Kha to go. They must have a large container of flat, dry, and a very tasteless pieces of chicken that they throw into everything that a person orders with chicken. The pieces are so large that they need to be cut up which is a little difficult to do with soup. Besides which the soup was nothing but sour. My friend's Pad Thai was certainly nothing to write home about although the orange chicken was pretty good. I will never return to this restaurant. A complete waste of time and money. read more

In all transparency, there were only two servers, and they were running their back sides off, which is why I kept it a five star rating. First and last time ordering from here. Walked over from the movie theatres to place a to go order on Memorial Day. The restaurant was quiet, 2 customers outside eating their meals. Our order of 3 entrees took 50 minutes. I was patient, we came in late and about 20 minutes into the order the server told me they were changing the oil.(??) We left, went home, the food was some of the worst thai food I've ever had. Swimming in grease, hard to eat. We ended up throwing it mostly away. But, that was just the start of this fun evening. First time here for lunch this past weekend. It was definitely one of the top Thai restaurants around Kent area though can get pricey. We ordered the chicken wings which I highly recommend to try as appetizers. We ordered the curry noodles which was unique because it has crispy and regular noodles smothered in curry broth. This was actually the first time I had curry noodles in soup and it's quite an experience to try. We also had the salmon dish that was served in a fish shaped dish filled with lots of flavors. I went to Banyan Tree with my friend and ordered Drunken Noodle (one star) and a Thai Iced Tea and Spring Rolls. We got our spring rolls and tea to start very promptly. Everyone working here was extremely friendly and attentive (asking how is the food, if we needed anything, etc.). The drunken noodle was very flavorful and had a good amount of spice. Sometimes when I order Thai they do not put enough of the sauce in the noodle dish. That was not the case at Banyan Tree. Banyan Tree is located in Kent Station so there's plenty of parking in the parking structure and in the parking lot across from the restaurant as well. Every item on the Happy Hour menu was fried but one. I'm not too picky because I was taking a diet break but if I was back on Keto. I would be in a world of disappointment. Astonished is the only word that comes to mind when I look back on why I slept on this restaurant. I have been to Kent Station MANY times and obviously I snubbed this spot because ... well, I have no excuse. Yesterday we met my brothers girlfriend's family for dinner. I hadn't met all of them and when he told me we would be coming here; I was excited to see why this was such a delicious dining spot. Once seated (16 of us!) our table was beautifully set! I was stunned by how LARGE the restaurant was and I was so pleased with the comfort of the group dining experience. Once we were all sat, they moved easily around collecting drink orders (the Thai Iced Coffee will give you a kick of energy you didn't realize you needed lol so if you want less of a punch try the Thai Iced Tea!) and our appetizer order. The precise and fluid motion of service is outstanding. The flavors of the sauces seemed more savory than sweet like more Thai restaurants in Seattle and my taste buds danced! They recommended the Crispy Garlic Chicken and wow I was impressed! Beyond stunned by the quality chicken used, and the balance of spice was perfect. The pieces are large and one order seemed to be enough to share with THREE people. The garlic plays a soft touch while the crispy layering breaks gently in your mouth! Met a friend here for lunch today. Neither of us had been there before but I think we would both go back. Arrived about 12:25 and the restaurant was busy but still plenty of seats. Greeted & sat quickly. Thy have many items on their menu I haven't seen at other Thai restaurants. I had a tough time choosing between the Signature Salad & a dish called Ba Mee. I chose the salad & I kinda regretted it. The menu listed romaine & spinach. What I got was 99% iceberg lettuce & 1% spinach. The chicken & noodles served on top were hot so,they wilted the lettuce quickly. Also they had a sauce on them that conflicted with the delicious herb vinaigrette that was served with the salad. I would not order this dish again. My friend ordered the swimming Rama. It was swimming. Ample amounts of peanut sauce. She enjoyed hers & had a nice little amount of leftovers to go. The complimentary "soup" they serve you before the meal reminded me of gruel. I couldn't help but think they make it by scraping leftover rice from plates into a pot of water & boiling it for hours. Welp, this was a disaster for the ages. As a mom you do all the things to create a successful meal time. I scouted local spots and decided this would be a good local to meet family for dinner. I was wrong. We started with a reservation at 4pm for 5 people including a toddler (we'll need a high chair). We walked in about 4 minutes late but the restaurant was empty and my mom was already sitting at our table, sans a highchair. We stood around and mentioned it to FOUR servers who kept saying excuse me to walk past us. Not a single person helped. Finally I followed a women to the hostess stand and was like "can we please get a highchair, we're standing around in the way." Yay! She got the chair! The waitress mentioned it was happy hour so we start with some wine and quickly order 3 appetizers and the fried rice entree as we know the kiddos are hungry. Over the next 55 minutes we get one appetizer delivered at a time. We ask repeatedly about the rice since the kids are starving and we had kept a menu with intentions of ordering more entrees. I'm not sure what was going on. The place was empty when we sat down and even when we ordered. It filled up quickly as it's Saturday event night for Kent station. Finally at the hour plus mark we asked for the check and to cancel the rice, the kids were starting to fuss and we hate being that family. I don't know if they were intentionally starving the kids out but it was insane to watch every table around us get served and never us. The waitress even tried to be like "oh we'll make it and box up the rice and you can take it to go" because she didn't want to take it off the bill. Absolutely not. What an insane experience.
