I got the shrimp tacos because of the reviews...honestly had to take the "shrimp" out. It tasted like plastic, very unappetizing texture and taste. Which is a shame because the taco was dressed beautifully. Love the cabbage and sauce. The quesadillas were good. Upset about the small portion of sauce as I paid more than a dollar for a side of it...the container is tiny and not even filled. Don't like when restaurants cheap out on things like this. read more

Tried Moe Vegan's food truck experience and it was great. I'm not vegan, at least not on most days, but this place is definitely worth checking out. The burgers were the highlight -- juicy, flavorful, and easy to forget they were 100% plant-based. Everything here is vegan, which makes it fun to explore the menu. The whole crew over at MV really has something special and unique going on. They started out typically as a popup (plus catering) serving the Seattle stadiums and south end (and surrounding area) which is where a big Southern comfort food demographic is often situated. For context, there aren't many vegan southern/comfort spots around the Puget Sound. The nearest ones are only perhaps Seattle's Plum Bistro (which is closing soon) and Tacoma's Quickie Too which is in another galaxy far away. Then they upgraded their mobile ride and now ADDED weekend cafe! Hours may extend/change as they get settled in but the versatility they provide with their options serving their community is ridiculous. The new digs is pretty rad. It's a cozy small/medium space with half seating and half hangout playing table games or some pool. Deep tones contrasted by some sweet decor and neon lights. Cool vibe here. The menu is a fraction of their catering menu for context which makes sense (don't want to start all crazy). Just a few classic burgers and fry options. Grubbin'; usually I get any burger (no fake cheese, not my thing) and a seasoned fries. And the staff serving ya are friendly and chill. If you play with the activity items, you better wipe yo hands first! Better not catch you touching your food and that stuff. Keep it clean people. :) Like their popup, always blasting some good tunes. Feedback: A little loose around the edges with decor quality control but not a big deal. Beyond patties have somewhat newer/healthier options out; good future option to transition to once current supply runs out. The window seating is weird; the table is too low and it squishes my legs. The food was decent, but portion size was sad. For the exorbitant price tag, one of those variables should have been "spectacular." A burger, fries, and apple dessert pastry cost $34. Yes, you read that correctly- thirty-four dollars. The burger was a $15 item, which was kind of reasonable as compared to other vegan places, but $8 for the fries?! No. Apple fritter was good, but also did not justify the expense. I may order a burger from here in the future but nothing else. Service was good. Customers self-order at a kiosk, but a staff member was right there to answer questions. Dining room was on the small side, but maximized seating while maintaining personal space. Tried this place last Sunday on a whim. Totally enjoyed the shrooms burger and I don't even like mushrooms much. The lasagna was pretty good too but the best part was the cheesecake. Some things to improve is that the quantity is a bit lesser than most places and currently they seem to serve only in Togo containers. The service was decent and ambience is super casual. KHart and Amy are absolute angels sent on earth! Our DoorDash driver delivered the wrong order and then abandoned us and KHart and Amy stepped right in to remake our food fresh and deliver it to us personally when that wasn't there job or responsibility to do. My husband is a vegetarian and we were stoked to see a vegan restaurant that wasn't just salads, veggie sandwiches, etc. Their fries were crispy and so beautifully seasoned and that crack sauce is to die for! We also loved the honey mustard sauce. We got the Honey Chikken wrap which my husband demolished so fast and I got the tostada style beef quesadillas and they were incredible. It was the most realistic vegan cheese I have tasted in forever! Our kids had the burger plain with bbq sauce and they loved it! We will definitely be going here because it's a high quality twist on fun vegan food and you can't beat the community of people that are working there. Support local and love on your neighbors. This group of people DESERVE IT! I tried to til KHart when he dropped off our food and he gave it back to my son to put towards his education. We were in the neighborhood, so we decided to go. I read some reviews, that stated the food was good but the quantity of fries was low. LOL I thought since the fry review was a couple of weeks before I went, that maybe it's turned around. NOPE!! We got my food to go, came up to almost $28-$30. My food was warm in the bag that I grabbed. However, I went to open and try it out, maybe 4 minutes later, it was slightly warm. There was another couple, there besides me and my husband. And looked to be 1 cook. So I'm not sure why my food was slightly warm and my fry looked like a kiddie fry LOL! That cost $9 or so. I got the truffle fries and burger. I had been hearing about this food truck for awhile and had it on my wish list of Seattle food options. When I was finally able to try it, there was instant anger over waiting so long lol!! Moe vegan makes a vegan burger exactly how it should be! These burgers are delicious, messy, and non-greasy! Which is probably my favorite part about them. I tried the mushroom burger and the famous "Soufend" South Seattle burger. I was hesitant at first as I'm not a huge fan of mushrooms but the mushroom burger is amazing! But that South Seattle burger....perfection. The addition of cilantro on the burger really adds that refreshing kick to it. Make it irresistible. The staff is very kind and very friendly which also makes the experience pleasant and easy. I'm waiting to try the gumbo because I've heard so many good things about it. On a second visit I wasn't too much in the mood for a burger so I got the queso dip which was also delicious but they also made me a dish that was a multitude of flavors together! This dish was so good. I can't even explain it. The vegan protein had a charred, grilled texture and flavor which as a vegetarian, I haven't had since I ate meat. There was cabbage and cilantro with some type of peanut sauce which brought in those Thai, and Vietnamese aspects. I wouldn't know much what to call it lol but it was great. Yum! Went to Juneteenth celebration on Mercer Island and was lucky enough to have a Moe vegan food truck join us. We got "beef" brisket, and "beef" tacos. Wow these were really delicious! I'm not even vegan. The tacos had lots of fresh and delicious ingredients, sweet tomatoes, and some yummy just slightly spicy sauces. Great mix of flavors. I've been wanting to try this spot for awhile! I've tried making the long trip 3 times! Each time they are no where to be found. There is some kind of issue with their location. I understand it's a food truck and they move around. But I believe it needs to be accurate 100% of the time otherwise people are waisting their time, gas, & mileage trying to get here. I'm sorry I hate to not leave 5 stars because I love to support vegan business. But not being where your location is posted isn't professional in my opinion.
