We tried Tasty Doux as a treat for our daughter's birthday part. We ordered the cupcakes and everything in the order process was really straightforward and easy to navigate. I called in my order online and picked up my cupcakes about a week later. Pick up was easy and since you pay at the point of sale, I was able to get in and out when it came to pick up our box of cupcakes. On to the cupcakes themselves. They were so delicious and there are lots of options that to choose from and we ended up with a mix of choices. They were a big hit when we brought them to our Park date with family. Definitely recommend and can't wait to try some of the cake options!

I'm updating my review because we just visited in December, and this place is still my favorite bakery in Kent indeed. We have been ordering my son's birthday cake from here for the past 3 years, and each time without fail we get positive feedbacks from guests. And each time I visit, I get the cream puff (December's special is egg nog! I love it and I usually don't like egg nog), and sometimes cupcakes and macarons. The owner is always so friendly, and the store smells divine from all the baked goods.

Small shop with fantastic flavors! My family and I purchased one of everything in the display case as they all looked so good. The cashier was patient and answered the questions we had about each dessert. I enjoyed all of the cupcakes they had.

So Tasty!! My weekend routine! Their cream puff is the best!!!!!!!!!!! Would recommend this place to everyone!

Came for the cream puffs and they did not disappoint! They are as good as everyone says. They were light and airy with a delicious crispy exterior. I tried the vanilla filling and it was super delicious and not too sweet. I also tried some cupcakes. My favorite was the Pandan cupcake.. it was so so good. Moist and fluffy and the perfect whipped topping. The staff was incredibly kind. Since it was our first time in the bakery, they gave us samples of the mini cream puffs and took the time to explain each cupcake flavor and filling. I loved learning that the owner is Thai which influences her flavors. We will definitely be back and I plan to order cream puffs and the pandan cupcakes for future events!

Holy crap their cream puffs. I've known about this local business for a while, but finally got to try them and I have to say it's totally worth it. Between the vanilla, chocolate and strawberry fillings, I really can't decide which one was the best because all were perfect without being overly sweet. The outer puff shell was on point being not too soft or hard either. They even offer mini cream puffs which I got a bunch to gift away. I'm happy to see them fill the puffs in person/ making them to order so things wouldn't sit and be too soggy either. Aside from the cream puffs, they do have a small menu of other items including cupcakes, macarons, eclairs, and tarts, some of which are gluten free. The pandan cupcake was a bit smaller than expected, but definitely packed the right punch of flavor which is hard for many places to get right. I'm hoping they get to expand to offer more items in the future.

Introduced by my neighbor. These cute little cream puffs definitely something to try. They are fresh, creamy and not guilty at all. You get to choose between vanilla or chocolate. Special flavor can be ordered ahead of time. They have regular size and minis. They also have other different pastries. I also like the mini cakes and the macrons.

These cream puffs remind me of Mini Concha's, pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread). It's a lot lighter. The top is crunchy and the vanilla cream is filled to the brim. What I like is that the outside is very thin and you don't feel like you've eaten a dense bread. It a puff that is filled so tight that it just oozes out when you take a bite. Have plenty of napkins on hand. You'll need it. When back a week later tried the Choclate and Pumpkin Spice. I ate them so fast that i quickly forgot what they taste like. JK, they don't bombard you with flavor. Just nice and lightly sweetened. I don't particularly like pumpkin spice but I like these cream puffy.. Yes, I've adopted the name puffy to describe these cream puffs. Yum!!

I've never spent any time in Kent before but was around the area picking something up and decided to see if there were any notable spots on Yelp worth trying. I'm not going to lie - I was a bit reluctant to try Tasty Doux given the aesthetic and presentation of the bakery (I'm all about that branding!), but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and dropped by for a few cream puffs. I ordered 2 pandan and 1 vanilla but they misheard me and switched the two. No biggie at all, but wasn't off to a great start. After hopping into the car before driving home, I took a bite out of the cream puff and was speechless. BEST. CREAM. PUFF. EVER. Omg. I was only going to take one bite and finish the rest when I got home, but I couldn't resist and ate the whole thing then and there. The mixup ended up being a good thing because I ended up favoring the vanilla over the pandan. Pandan was great but it was a bit strong for my liking. I'm so bummed that this place is so far from home but I guess that's a good thing otherwise I'd be coming here way more than I should. I am glad though that it's close to the airport because that means I can pick it up for all my loved ones who visit Seattle! :)

5 stars for their cream puffs, clean location and their genuinely warm service. What to order? THE CREAM PUFFS 100% Ive ordered some of their other pastries and some were just ok, but it's clear that the star of this store and what most people come here for are the delicious cream puff goodness. I've tried a lot of cream puffs and theirs is definitely one of the best I've had hands down. They pipe in the house made cream fresh into the pastry as you order. I love the slightly crunchy texture at the surface of puff too. Yum! Need something quick to bring to a party? Grab a box of the small (around $1 each) or large cream puffs (around $2 each) and take to the gathering and watch their eyes go round when they take a bite out of these things lol!

Ask the Community - Tasty Doux

Do they sell fresh bread?

I have been for 6 months, but the last time I went, it was just pastries (cream puffs, cakes, macarons) and drinks

Are there vegan options?

ONE nondairy item - the Coconut Cupcake. They don't customize other options to vegan or nondairy orders. No special orders. :(

The macarons here actually hit; they all taste unique! And this isn't just from this visit; they've…read morebeen selling their stuff during conventions on the street between the Seattle Convention Center Arch and Summit buildings, and I finally got to go to this brick-and-mortar location on a Saturday night around 8:20pm. I had a friend gathering to go to the same night, and wanted to bring some desserts so this place came to mind. For it being very wet and rainy, this place feels like a nice relief from all that with the bright lighting and the cafe-like feel of the place. There's a grassy wall near the back for photo ops, and there are some tables, window seating and front couch seating. They don't only sell macarons here; there's also coffee, tea, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. I got a baker's dozen, which comes with 12 randomly assorted regular-sized macarons in a small container. This particular one came with three limited flavors: red velvet, cran-orange and a pear-like flavor. They were marked separately on a card provided with the box that shows all their regular offerings of macaron flavors. This came to $36 compared to $40 for the same number of macarons if you wanted to choose specifically which flavors you wanted instead. I also got myself a Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich; each one is prepackaged and $8. Both people working at the counter were extremely helpful in helping me decide what to get, and explaining the differences between both sets. Flavor wise, I was not disappointed: - My Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich hit the spot! The macarons did not come apart too easily and I could still maintain the shape of the sandwich throughout. Ice cream consistency is great, and the Thai tea flavor is not too strong. The whole thing is not too sweet by itself either, and this goes for all of their macarons in general. From other visits to their stand during conventions, I recommend their Cap'n Crunch berry, lemon, peach and durian flavors for ice cream sandwiches. - One of my friends and I loved the Vietnamese coffee flavored macaron. Taste is strong like phin-brewed coffee and it didn't have much sweet of a taste, something that would not have done well for this flavor. - The cran-orange and blueberry flavors were our other favorites; both had tastes that reminded me a lot of their respective flavors. - The box also had dark chocolate, vanilla, ube, Thai tea, pistachio and salted caramel flavors. All were decent and tasty. What I like about this place is that the taste for all of their macarons is exactly as advertised and never bogged down by the flavor that macaron shells are usually full of. I can't eat too many of these at once since they can be too sweet over time, so I would save these for a group setting where you can share these. By themselves, they are a great way to get your sweet tooth the love it needs!

The owner was so lovely and sweet -- I got to learn about her passion behind the business, and it genuinely made the visit feel special. You can tell how much heart goes into everything she creates. The girl with black hair working there was also incredibly kind and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. All the macarons were fresh, beautifully made, and had that perfect chewy-meets-crisp texture. You can truly feel the care put into both the flavors and the presentation.
