What happened to the "mochi" in Mochinut? These used to actually have that sticky, stretchy, glutinous-rice chew that made mochi donuts worth buying. Now they taste like regular donuts that briefly heard about mochi from a friend. Barely chewy, way more floury, soft and bready, and honestly not much different from a normal donut anymore besides the shape and the price. If your entire brand name is MOCHINUT, maybe the mochi part shouldn't be missing in action. At this point they should just rename it "Donut" because the mochi clearly got laid off. Bring back the old texture. I'm not paying mochi-donut prices for a regular donut doing cosplay.
We tried the Nutella almond donut and a Raspberry Crunch donut. They were spongy and soft, not too sweet. I'm glad they added a storefront to the mall cause the donut obsession is real!!!
I absolutely love mochi donuts so I know I'll naturally love this place. And WHAT they sell Korean dogs and boba drinks too?!! I'm sold! Super friendly staff. It's conveniently located upstairs with the rest of the food options the mall offers.

The texture is a little bit heavier than I'd expect; the texture of the cheesecake one especially, so dense it reminded me of bread. No customer service and okay doughnuts. Overall I don't see myself coming back.

Let's all be honest and put Krispy Kreme as the best fresh doughnut the Northwest has. Tacky! You add a tip to my order at the self serve order, omg! You have to hit "Custom" and zero out the tip if you wish not to tip! Sorry, not sorry but I usually do not tip when I am doing all the work myself, so tacky! Thanks for the trap of adding a tip to my order when that was not my intention.

They have workers standing around while customers struggle a their machines to place orders. They don't monitor the fact that their machines malfunction and don't process credit card payments until customers are pulling out their hair. The final straw was that they refused to provide ice water after purchasing tons of food! And to have the audacity to include a tip line is utterly ridiculous! Please review your customer service practices!!!
Located in the south center food court. They have a self ordering kiosk which moves fast. Got the Korean hot dog - half and half with sugar and mustard. Pretty good!

Usually there is a long line and I don't want to wait while everyone struggles to navigate the self-order screen. Finally, though, the counter was not busy and I went for it. The latte was very good - although I asked for hot and got cold - I think many places and people assume you want it cold for some reason. I liked the flavors they had for the mochi donuts and found the presentation especially pleasing - the way they put the donuts in a little convenient hand carrying (and eating) container; the small accents they put on some of the donuts. I got creme brulee and passion fruit. The creme brulee was very tasty. The passion fruit was very fruity! I found them somewhat more cakelike than other mochi donut places - which was fine! - and I also found that they didn't keep well - so eat them when you get them! This spot has a nice corner location. The service is medium - with the self order situation, I think the folks behind the counter tend to disconnect with you.

Kinda reminds me of 3 day old donuts that turn dense. LOL! But of course this tastes good. I really like fresh donuts that sorta melt in your mouth and is less dense. That's what I'm used to. With the Mochinut, I feel full a lot faster then Krispy Kreme. My daughter, sister and I also like the Korean dogs. The best is the full mozzarella dog. The half sausage and cheese is alright. We initially thought it was a full dog with the cheese alongside but it isn't. It's literally half sausage on top, half cheese on bottom. Overall, great place.

The food is hella good. I got the korean corndog. The portion size is good for its price at 10 but they did forget my sugar and the corndog seemed smaller than when i first got it. They also gave me a sea of ketchup?? And the text robot texted me 20 mins after it was ready so read more
I'd round my rating to about 3.5 stars for their donuts here. In general, I love that they have a much larger variety of flavors, and their toppings and icings are unique for the most part. For this review, I had their mango sticky rice donut and one that looked like it had pistachios, along with two strawberry-like donuts and a churro-flavored donut. They have relatively strong profiles in every one of their donut flavors, though I notice they are best eaten the day of; they do not sit well overnight, so if you're not a big eater I wouldn't grab more than 3 donuts. The inside of each donut ball is more like a regular soft donut inside than a squishier, mochi-like texture like Dochi's. From previous visits to this location - including when they opened to long lines back in 2021 - servers are usually pretty fast and accurate when it comes to getting people's orders in and grabbing donuts. The same probably couldn't be said for making their hotdogs though I'm not sure if that's changed now. They always have new flavors every Monday, and one server back then has suggested calling in to confirm their flavors of the week. I still have yet to get the banana milk flavor donut for my mom, and I'm not sure if this location has it, but I'll definitely come back and/or have their donuts every now and then. For now I prefer Dochi and their longer-lasting donuts. read more

This was my first time ever having a Korean corn dog and a Thai tea. The workers were super helpful and friendly. I had some questions about the food as we were ordering and the lady was super nice about it. The corn dog was absolutely delicious. Can I just say their potato half and half is the best thing on earth? It made me so hooked on to it and kept going back for more. When I brought my bf or friends and now they are always craving for it. They made my cheese pull dreams came true because it never worked on pizza or other dish. We need more of these around. Not a lot!! But more! They not only sell donuts but also make the popular Korean fried dogs. I wasn't in the mood for one of those but my spouse was. He ordered the half meat half cheese and I ordered a mochinut. I was so anxious to try one of these after seeing them everywhere and listening to the kids go on and on about them lol I can't remember what flavor I got but it was delicious. I truly didn't know what to expect as far as flavor and texture but I was stunned! Kind of of the donut side with airy crispy-ness. I could probably sit and eat two of these, no problem! For me Mochinut was A-OK. Located where Ivar's was before Mochinut offers drinks, hotdogs, and mochinuts - doughnuts made with mochi. My friend and I were in the area and since we already ate we opted for the mochinuts. While the line was long and the place nonstop happening it moved quickly. I liked the touchscreen ordering and found payment easy. From the time we placed our order to the time we received it was six minutes. I kept time because I saw so many reviews talking about long waits but it appears they have that dialed in. The box and presentation was bright, bold, and captivating! Visually stunning I was anticipating magic but found the flavor to be extremely subtle. I ordered the caramel churro mochinut and while I tasted cinnamon I caught none of the caramel flavor. The mochinut also had an intriguing texture - a chewy mouthfeel that was akin to a gummy bear. I wasn't a huge fan. I am glad I tried this and I think they're extremely efficient! We don't have a Mochinut place where I'm from so I was so excited to eat some when I was in Seattle! Although this Mochinut was inside the mall, it was so delicious!! I want to note if you were to buy some it's either 3 or a dozen. I only wanted 1 donut but unfortunately they didn't allow that. The 3 donuts I had were the Ube, Vietnamese Coffee & Churro. Best 3 flavors I chose! They also have a cute photo op as well. 10/10!!! read more

Pros: great customer service from the employees, efficient ordering system and transparent on their extra charges, good variety of menu of hot dogs and donuts Cons: donuts are OK (icing too sweet and tad bland for my liking), service as an establishment could be better. Spent nearly $40 of donuts and charges extra 10 cents for box but due to lack of change ended up being charged 60 cents instead. Understandable of their situation and WA charges 10 cents usually, the gal was very nice and I was asked upfront. Paid anyways because I wanted to split the dozen with my team. However if I went to Dochi 5 minutes away to split my dozen they made it a lot easier to do without extra charges. If they handled that better their service would be PERFECT. Additionally, their computer ordering system makes it difficult to make these kinds of requests. Solid 3 stars. Good for convenience and later in the day need for mochi donuts but next trip I will take my business with Dochi. read more
I love chewy stuff so mochi donuts are perfect for me! My fave is the raspberry flavor! It was sweet and slightly tart! But the other flavors are good too! OMG I can't believe I waited this long to try a mochi donut. I had my first one (well, first three LOL) at Mochinut Southcenter and I'm in love! I naively thought a mochi donut was a bunch of mochi balls stuck together and deep fried. However, they just use mochi flour, so you get the flavor and chewiness of mochi, but it is really light and fluffy and tastes like a donut. Also, since they make the donuts with eight separate balls, it is super easy to split them apart and share with others. Every day they offer 6 flavors (which rotate). They have one of each on display at the register, so you can see what they look like. They also post the menu ahead of time on their Instagram. It seems like preferred pricing is based on multiples of three: 3, 6, or 12. We ordered the Churros Caramel, Strawberry Shortcake, and Ube Snow. Honestly, they were all good! Only one of them was still warm, which made it even better, but you just have to get lucky with the timing of your order since they make a bunch of them ahead of time. This place also offers Korean rice covered hot dogs, which doesn't really appeal to me, but I will definitely come back for the mochi donuts. read more

Saw an ad from their Instagram and was interested in the ube milk tea. Turns out it's ube with fresh milk. I've had their hotdogs before and it's pretty good but didn't know they made drinks so wanted to try it out. Ube was VERY rich and creamy and blended very well with the milk to make an ube milk basically. Boba was surprisingly soft. Drink was a 10/10 would def try their other drinks. We went on a Sunday and customer service was fast too! Pleasantly surprised! read more

We had a great lunch & decided to come here for some sweets! It is located in the mall, so parking was bad. On a weekend of course. The place was clean & the line wasn't too long. The lady's there were very friendly! We decided to get the Mochinut donuts. The blueberry was AMAZING. So sweet, so fluffy, it was perfect. I love how they have rotating flavors & I would definitely be back there. The milk tea was pretty good. I wasn't a huge fan of the rice dog. It wasn't bad, but I definitely like a lighter "breading" on my cheese dog. However, the mochi donut was delicious! I would come back, if just for the donuts. Maybe try a fun frosted flavor! read more
Mochinut is located on the 2nd floor at Southcenter mall, in the food court. This is more of a 3.5, rounded to 4 stars. Their mochi donuts are good - soft and chewy, but I wasn't too interested in their flavors (they didn't have all the flavors as shown on their IG?) when I went this time. Also, they don't sell their donuts individually - you have to buy 3 donuts or half dozen, or by the dozen... which forced me to buy more than I wanted to, especially given there wasn't that many flavors I even wanted. They also ran out of boxes, so my donuts were just tossed into a bag. This wouldn't have been a problem if we were eating them right away, but I needed to save them for later. Again, good mochi donuts and I would get again - just hope there's different/ more interesting flavors to try next time and a box to take bring them home in. read more
I ordered a box of 3 and the flavors were funnel cake with chocolate, cinnamon Carmel, and cookies and cream. They were soft and good but my daughter didn't care for the Oreo cookies and cream. It is $10 for a box of 3. We also got the Korean hot dog with hot Cheetos this time and it was better than the blue taki one. Also if you're like me and think it comes with meat it does not. This style of hot dog has cheese inside. The service- there really isn't too much because you order on a kiosk and they text you when your food is ready although they do still call out the number. The kiosk accepts a lot of payments including Apple Pay but cash requires you to order direct with the cashier. read more

Delicious mochinut donuts! This is a chain, so if you have had them you know how yummy they are. Did not like the limited ordering options. YOU CANT ORDER JUST ONE DONUT!!! You can order them in 3, 6, or a box of 12. Ordering is SELF SERVICE on one of their two computer monitors. It took us a few minutes to figure this out (stood there patiently waiting for one of the workers to take our order and no one bothered to tell us). This is the ONLY mochinut place I could find from Tacoma to Seattle so you have to put up with the mediocre service. read more
