Hot dog topped with kraut, sriracha, mayo, mustard and relish. The works.
Sharon F.

These guys are owed a beer for the many nights they've been friendly, helpful and just downright sweet to every drunkard that comes through their cart! I once dropped my hot dog in a state of fuzziness, and they replaced it right away. No charge. I suppose it's easier than hearing a whiny girl sob. And the grilled onions! I've tried to replicate it at home, to no success. The cherry on top are the sriracha, mayo, bbq, special mustard and fixings available. Now if they only had sweet pickled corn or some fake bacon, my universe would be complete.

Guilty Pleasure. How good can a 2am Polish hot dog with cream cheese and grilled onions taste? Pretty amazing, and that's not the beer talking either. Although it cost $5, the dog was sizeable and filling. It took a slow paced 1 hour wait and experiencing attitude from the late night hot dog guy (he wasn't too polite too polite to my group and the guy in front of me, is all I'll leave it at), but was well-worth the interesting experience. Next time I'd like to try Monster Dog to see how it compares.

This is 2007 and still the best veggie and cream cheese hot do I have had. Still thinking about it.

Nothing like a seattle dog after a night out on the hill. I'd highly recommend this spot to grab a dog on the go, so satisfying.

Great service, great hot dogs. What more could you want from a 'drunken' cart stop on the way home?!?!?!

Each dog is only $5, and comes with cream cheese if wanted -a unique ingredient that I highly recommend trying.

A Seattle dog is a quintessential food item while visiting Seattle. I am happy to say the Dog In The Park Seattle Dog lived up to my expectations. A crispy grilled dog, cream cheese, and plenty of grilled veggies. There are loads of toppings to choose from, too, but the young man serving up the dogs recommended just plain for the first time to really get the classic experience. I think some light mustard and maybe some saurkraut would have been a great addition. Friendly service and good recommendations for a first-timer, though. This location is located not too far from Pike Place and Westlake station. Convenient location. The price is great too! Go enjoy a Dog In The Park!

This was during Sakura Con, and for being one of several food stands occupying real estate around the Seattle Convention Center Arch Building, it gets a ton of traction. Big props to the lone server and cook who was taking orders back and forth from my friends and I and others who rushed to grab some food; he was cooking, taking payments and answering questions all throughout the time we were there. No seating or restrooms available here as it's outside. They were also out of vegan hot dogs, which didn't sit too well with one of my friends. For the Seattle Dog, it's a regular hot dog with caramelized vegetables in a somewhat lightly crispy bun and topped with some cream cheese. Hot dog was so good, vegetables added an extra savory tone that complimented the hot dog, and bun was so tasty I could have asked for another Seattle Dog, though each totals up to $10 before tax, which sounds pretty pricey for a hot dog. Regardless I would still come back here during conventions if I don't want to have anything inside the convention center itself.

They've got tons of pinball machines, but the thing I absolutely LOVED were the booths with the pinball machines built right into the tables. I've never seen that before and immediately thought it was such a cool idea. Definitely the kind of spot you stop into for a drink and then end up hanging out way longer than you planned. Overall just a really fun little bar with a lot of character. I'd absolutely come back.

They have games, an ATM to get quarters to play the games, free condoms box above the quarter ATM. And my favorite part a Photo Booth! A great bar to me has a Photo Booth, street fighter, and private booths. This has it all. Love how we can have fun playing games, taking pics, choosing a song, and having great conversations in the comfy booths. Service is helpful. One night one of the games ate our quarters up and never worked so we let the bartender know and a few minutes later he gave us our quarters back. Staff is efficient and keeps the bar clean picking up any left behind glasses quickly. The bar is quirky and fun. Private and comfy booths, and lots of clowns everywhere. Sad clowns, happy clowns, creepy clowns, and more clowns than you can count! The bathrooms are unisex with plenty of stickers to look at. Always hand soap and toilet paper available even when busy. Hard working staff! Some areas of the bar like near the bathrooms have flashy lights and makes it feel like you're at the circus. The vibe is laid back and care free. Have yet to try the food so no words on that quite yet! Always a great time at Shorty's. Literally one of my favorite bars! Highly recommend!

Hot Dog, corn batter, deep fried? Yeah, those things. I mean those things are kind of a staple thing you probably eat once and a while and think 'hey, that's tasty'. This place is those. Except they use rice. Yes, rice. WHICH FACE IT IS A PINCH DIFFERENT FOR A LOT OF US. Don't judge me. Rice and hot dogs just aren't two things that seemingly go together in my mind. However, it is very common in Korea. Apparently, they've been holding out on the good stuff. Because Rice Hot Dogs are good stuff. And this place has that good stuff. They've got a ton of variety of types, so you can even get a range to try. I recommend all of them. Though I had two. They were good, the ramen covered one, and the spicy cheesy one. Super fun, very unique around these parts, very worth the wait in line, and the calories.

Whichever you choose- don't forget to ask for some of their homemade slaw to top that beautiful dog! I first found Secret Sausage outside the Owl and Thistle in Pioneer Square. Then outside the Clink after a game. It was an elusive Seattle street food treat- and in a lot of ways still is. They've expanded in recent years so sometimes you can find them at Microsoft campuses on occasion too. But I'll let you in on a little secret... they have a deal with the Thunderbird Tavern in Ballard. So if you're craving a Seattle Dog on a random Tuesday at 8:30pm for example... high tail it to the Thunderbird and get you one! Especially on a warm Summer evening: a Seattle dog with extra slaw, a glass of your favorite cold drink and a spot on the back patio - doesn't that sound so good right now?! Another favorite with Secret Sausage is The Firlander Sauce. While I personally am not a big fan of hot sauce, this spicy condiment has been a staple in our family for several years now. I've been told it makes a good gourmet hotdog over-the-top good! Ha! So if you're a hot sauce fan- it's a must try. Locally owned small business with a commitment to quality.
