Apple slaw is a nice change of pace. Solid kraut. Tasty beer. Good brat. Very happy. We're don't go for German food very often but thus hit the spot.

Our server was actually one of the bartenders who had a little extra time or was serving at the same time? Not sure, but the bartender was helping us for some reason, and looking back I'm glad he did because he was awesome. He answered all of our questions and was super attentive. At first we were only popping in for a beer and to scope out the place, as we're looking for a place to replace the Queen Anne Beerhall (since they keep raising their prices and now charge admission on their busy/holidays/events to get in). Then we ended up ordering a pretzel with a variety of sauces to give it a try as well as a few more beers and just overall enjoying the ambiance and watching a game. It was chill and went smoothly. We were hyped to go back. On our second visit, we were sorely disappointed. Maybe because it was around the FIFA World Cup or something, they changed their rules, and unless you stopped at the entrance to read the new rules on their large television AT the entrance, you wouldn't have known. The rules were something like, you have to order everything at the bar, and the servers are only serving food and drinks. It was weird, and we missed it. So when we finally got one of their servers' attention after sitting there for like 5 minutes waiting to order a beer, the guy refused to help us or answer any of our questions, literally walked away as we were talking. It was pretty bad. So yeah, we ended up walking out. Maybe we'll try again? Not sure, but maybe next time we'll sit at the bar since the bartenders seem much nicer and more attentive. The beers were great, and everything was much more reasonably priced than our usual spot.

We have previously had some good experiences here for happy hour. We went for my friend's birthday…read morethough last Friday night and it was a little different vibe. I think it's a great bar with its own personality. The server was awesome about handling our large party and they had roped off an area for us in advance, which was nice. The food was still good but this time the drinks were honestly the only disappointing thing. Mine kinda tasted like lime-flavored nail polish remover and my partner's tasted like cherry cough syrup. They looked good and the bar tenders were very efficient, but ultimately we stuck to one drink each because they were not too good. Love this spot for summer gatherings!

Only issue my boyfriend and I had was the service; both bartenders were noticeably agitated for 0 reason. We ordered a grand total of 4 drinks the entire night. One shot, one cocktail, two beers. The man who took my card to open a tab (that has a sticker cover on it) was aggressively shoving it into the reader and making dramatic "ugh!" gestures and scoffing / huffing because it didn't fit the first 30 seconds. then, when handing me my card back, told me "that sticker SURE makes it difficult to pay!" all flustered-like.. relax dude lmao. My bf and I just watched him and his emotional outburst in awe, and said nothing. Then later the lady who served us was super chipper when talking to all her coworkers, to which we waited to order something until she was done (so that we weren't rude), but even when she spun around to check the bar and saw our hand raise, she immediately dropped the smile and served us like it was a massive inconvenience. We ordered one single beer from her lol. It was like 9:45 pm on a Saturday. So it wasn't like we were there near closing. Anyways, while the drinks and prices were amazing, unless you're willing to take awful service on the chin, avoid this place. My bf and I don't mind, the drinks and ambiance are too good to not come back. The charcuterie was also pretty yummy. We just won't tip the sh*t servers.
