As always I have not been disappointed with Silky Cakes. Every time I have a special occasion I would order my customized cake through Masha because she knows exactly what I want. This time I had this cake made for the Celebration of Life for my best friend. She loved purple so Masha created this vanilla double layered cake with cream cheese filling and frosting. It was the highlight of the party for not only it looked amazing, it was delicious. Thank you so much Silky Cakes for another yummy goodness! Highly recommend.

My friend bought my husband a birthday cake from Silky Cakes and it looked so beautiful and out of this world we didn't want to cut it. It was a mousse cake with passion fruit and mango filling. It had the perfect balance of sweet and from the fresh fruit fillings. My friend also special ordered a New Years Eve cake with 4 sections each with a different flavor. This was also an amazing cake. Highly recommend this shop to make your special occasion cakes.

Delicious, perfect and also so gorgeous! Don't have good photos of a cut cake because it was eaten very very fast. It worths every penny spent, as it was made with high quality ingredients: it's not cocoa powder mixed with butter, as some bakers do, it's real chocolate mousse. I loved every bit of it, feeling is perfectly balanced with the taste of rich chocolate mousse. I'm so glad I found this place! Definitely recommend.

Amazing service!! We were looking for a last minute cake for our father's birthday. Marina was able to fit us in with one of her amazing designs. She also gave us color ideas for the cake and had it ready within 30 minutes! The cake itself was truly delicious and a hit at our little get together! Will definitely go back! Thank you again Marina- you did such an amazing job!

Absolutely beautiful and delicious cake. She is super responsive and really helpful. I was able to order a customized cake with only 2 days notice based on what she had available. I originally thought I ordered a white chocolate strawberry flavored one but due to my miscommunication, I didn't realized I ordered the Irish Cream one instead because different flavors come in different shapes. However, it was still very very good and not too sweet. I would definitely order again to try the other flavors. The bakery is located inside DK Market. You have to make a right when you get inside or you would get lost in the market.

I was so excited to come across Silky Cakes Instagram! She makes unique custom cakes that are almost too beautiful to eat... and they are delicious as well. What I like about it is the lightness of the cake and it is not too sweet. You can also choose from sooo many different flavors. She is also super easy to work with. I've gotten two cakes from her now for birthdays. If you're looking for a special and tasty cake for someone, I highly recommend getting one made by Silky Cakes! Her bakery is located inside DK market. They sell other pastries and baked goods inside as well!

Beautiful!!!! This is the doughnut shape with fresh fruit filling the center.

Delicious cake!!! My husband loves mousse and was thrilled with this cake. I was unsure about the filling and was delighted- it has a creamy taste similar to the mousse and provided a nice balance to a rich mousse. I recommend following the advice of the baker on the filling you won't be disappointed. We are foodies with strong opinions and we're thrilled with the dark chocolate and currant filling. The owner was excellent and answering my many phone calls and she had the cake ready early- just as I had requested. It's a little hard to find- but it's a gem worth hunting for!!!

Ok I rarely write reviews but this place blew me away by how much they care about producing quality cakes. I was camping and wanted to surprise my friend with a cake on her birthday and had some other friends pick it up. They didn't follow the design completely (they ran out of chocolate??) but it tasted great nonetheless. The price was reasonable and the instructions on how to keep it from messing up were pretty clear. I especially liked that I could choose the color scheme and the flavors that went into it. Would def order a cake from them again!

Just stunningly amazing cakes. I first called to order a chocolate mousse passion fruit cake for my partner's birthday, and from there we couldn't help but to order more cakes in other flavors! Masha's baking skills and mesmerizing creations have kept us coming back. An absolute gem, without hesitation I would highly recommend Silky Cakes to anyone looking for a cake for quite literally any occasion.

Chocolate/caramel and chocolate/strawberry mousse cake. Delicious and beautiful artistry!!! Thank you!!! We appreciate you

Thank you so much for the amazing wedding cake!!! We enjoyed the beauty and artistry, as well as the deliciousness of this cake. It was perfect in every way! We will be ordering again!!!

A little germ in Renton area hiding inside the DK market. If you like mousse cake, this is the place to go. I ordered two cakes so far. The cakes are SO delicious and AMAZING!!! Everyone at the party loves it. The owner is so helpful and so talented. She even take my orders only two days in advance. I would strongly recommend this place and would definitely coming back again.

I was pleasantly surprised (and amused) to find their macarons with custom printing at the "REVIVE I-5" booth at the University Street Fair. I was amused enough to write a separate review for them. The quality of the artwork and print colors are fantastic and vibrant with the rainbow colors. Please see photo. If I was interested in custom macarons, I would most definitely order some from Macadons. The flavor in this case is a simple vanilla, which has its charms, though I typically buy other flavors. The shell doesn't have the characteristic slight crispy, which is understandable since these are not fresh from the store. The inside is a very creamy filling that squished out on the sides as I bite down. Everyone has their own texture preferences. I personally like it less creamy. I normally buy their ice cream macarons, but these are still very good. The individual boxes make them great for small gifts.

The macarons here actually hit; they all taste unique! And this isn't just from this visit; they've…read morebeen selling their stuff during conventions on the street between the Seattle Convention Center Arch and Summit buildings, and I finally got to go to this brick-and-mortar location on a Saturday night around 8:20pm. I had a friend gathering to go to the same night, and wanted to bring some desserts so this place came to mind. For it being very wet and rainy, this place feels like a nice relief from all that with the bright lighting and the cafe-like feel of the place. There's a grassy wall near the back for photo ops, and there are some tables, window seating and front couch seating. They don't only sell macarons here; there's also coffee, tea, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. I got a baker's dozen, which comes with 12 randomly assorted regular-sized macarons in a small container. This particular one came with three limited flavors: red velvet, cran-orange and a pear-like flavor. They were marked separately on a card provided with the box that shows all their regular offerings of macaron flavors. This came to $36 compared to $40 for the same number of macarons if you wanted to choose specifically which flavors you wanted instead. I also got myself a Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich; each one is prepackaged and $8. Both people working at the counter were extremely helpful in helping me decide what to get, and explaining the differences between both sets. Flavor wise, I was not disappointed: - My Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich hit the spot! The macarons did not come apart too easily and I could still maintain the shape of the sandwich throughout. Ice cream consistency is great, and the Thai tea flavor is not too strong. The whole thing is not too sweet by itself either, and this goes for all of their macarons in general. From other visits to their stand during conventions, I recommend their Cap'n Crunch berry, lemon, peach and durian flavors for ice cream sandwiches. - One of my friends and I loved the Vietnamese coffee flavored macaron. Taste is strong like phin-brewed coffee and it didn't have much sweet of a taste, something that would not have done well for this flavor. - The cran-orange and blueberry flavors were our other favorites; both had tastes that reminded me a lot of their respective flavors. - The box also had dark chocolate, vanilla, ube, Thai tea, pistachio and salted caramel flavors. All were decent and tasty. What I like about this place is that the taste for all of their macarons is exactly as advertised and never bogged down by the flavor that macaron shells are usually full of. I can't eat too many of these at once since they can be too sweet over time, so I would save these for a group setting where you can share these. By themselves, they are a great way to get your sweet tooth the love it needs!

Eschew Wifi-enabled tech-absorption in favor of real conversations, long-form thoughts exchanged with multiple intelligences called for in real human connection, or the simple joy of imagination and day dreaming. I love their decorative little tables facing the quiet Capitol Hill side-street itself not particularly attractive -- but which offers a pause for a bite and a sip without the capitalist rushtime nipping at your heels. I've had their stellar and inventive-flavored macarons, but their cakes are no slouches either. The rose pistachio coffee cake was delectable. I make this place a destination because if I am lucky I can get one of those bay-window tables for a vegetarian quiche or Spanish tortilla washed down by coffee. I noticed the use of fresh herbs and the sense of a good ingredients and home-touch hand with their plates, as opposed to the commonplace, harried, sloppy kitchen production. Their drip coffee was too acidic for my taste (I prefer nutty balanced, chocolatey flavor). Next time I would get a latte. A higgledy-piggledy antique-style bathroom in the back is another sign of a time-hewn, characterful place. The brickwork in their narrow back patio is inviting but on a recent Sunday morning had been snagged for a private party. Finally a note to the artful wall tributes to heroic workers martyrs from U.S. history. The cafe elevates the spirit of care for the working person, which is noteworthy. Counter to the loudest mouthpieces of the modern era that would erase these assassinated/ crushed heroes that fought for the wellbeing and life of working people, you know that it is these heroes' spirit of courage that continues to outshine the capitalist drivel and machine mind of the majority.
