We've came for the Sunday Parade for the past 2 years, and my toddler enjoys it. Kids can play in the Town Center Plaza, where there is the splash pad, and booths with activities, and a stage setup for the band. The food options are decent (Filipino, burgers, pineapple drinks, Mexican snacks, etc.), but expect to wait for the food for a while (30+ minutes) if you go after lunch hours. Also, it's always super hot since there isn't much shade, so bring lots of water and covering if you plan to stay for a while. Tip: 1) Come on Friday if you don't like crowd 2) Parade starts at 1PM on Sundays 3) If you want to enjoy some food without waiting, go to the food area (in the library parking lot) before noon.

Ordered the Pork Sandwich and some skewers, a must try!!! Flavorful and well portioned, with meat, homemade paste and pickled veggies! Gotta get it!!! The owner is our very own friend, sister Threay!!! Please visit her stand if you attend this event during the weekend. She owns a small restaurant in Federal Way as well... Got some Chicken Quesadillas from the Antojitos Lucy Mexican Food vendor, which was very tasty! Also bought a Watermelon drink. SO frickin' good!!! Their empanadas were tasty, especially their ham and cheese one, and their sandwiches were so delicious! The brisket was so tender and the chicken milanesa was breaded and fried perfectly. The star was the chimichurri sauce that I literally put on every single bite of anything I ate! We had great service and the restaurant had limited seating inside. I definitely will be coming back again!

We tried the empanadas from el argento many many years back when they only had a food truck. Fell in love with them but unfortunately they moved to Auburn and we lost track. We now moved to Bellevue area and got to drive to El Atgento after many years. Let me tell you, the food is authentic and very fresh!! Delicious and full of Argentine flavors. The empanadas are almost as good as the ones I make at home () the milanesas are great and the French fries are the best!! Service is super friendly, prices are fair for the portions and quality, and overall is our go-to for Argentine food. Worth the drive, support this business since they care about what they serve their customers. Give them a try and you will be hooked!! You will not regret it!

Look for the sidewalk flag and festive bright food truck. It located north and adjacent to Caroline Pub, at 137th and 15th. Don't park at the two neighboring homes though, go towards the back and use the shared gravel parking lot. There are some outdoor seating, two covered 4 tops with thatched umbrellas and a wooden picnic table. Owner/chef was very patient and welcoming. The Homie and I placed our order, then we soaked up some pleasant late afternoon sun seated at the picnic table. Payment can be made by card, Zelle or Venmo. We decided to share the following: *Carne Empanadilla (beef) *Pal' Corillo Mixed Tray that included Chicharrones (fried chicken), Croquetas (croquettes), and Carne Frita (fried pork tostones) with two dipping sauces. *Flan de Coco There are also apps, mofongo bowls, combos/entrees, pinchos, dessert and bevs...something for everyone. Mega flavor and guaranteed to improve your demeanor!

The chicken skewer was very tender but its sauce tasted like a basic bbq sauce which surprised us. We still liked it. The Beef Empanada lacked flavor and was slightly dry (though from what I see of reviewer pictures that must not always be the case), the papas were also a bit lacking in flavor sadly. The chicken mofongo had nicely cooked chicken but we barely had any plantain mash at the bottom which was a bummer. Worst of all, I found a hair deep in the middle of the bowl. It definitely wasn't mine because I fished out from in between some packed food. Really disappointed. Unfortunately the person serving was also quite curt and grumpy with us. Not sure we will return. We had high hopes though.

Last year was a bust so we decided to go again to compare. Definitely a better turnout this year. No carnival rides but that's ok. Heard about the Oak Harbor incident? The kiddos can play in the spray park or Kherson Park instead. Booths had friendly representatives and were there to chat about local services and current/future projects. I swung by the Sound Transit booth and learned about the Federal Way Link Extension. Hopefully they'll get it done before we host the FIFA 2026 World Cup. Freebies were abundant and representatives were happy to give items away as long as you were interested in what they had to say. The Puget Sound Fire Department booth had some good stuff and were offering free CPR Training at ShoWare. As for the food area I wish they had more tent seating. Last year wasn't a problem; this year people were saving spots for friends and family while they were waiting in lines. They have a parade. If you want to attend bring a camping or beach chair. The sidewalk might be too hot to sit on considering the heatwave. Not as extravagant as Torchlight but it's nice to support the community. We parked in the Kent Station Garage. It was nice coming back to a non-toasty car.
