Kids can play in the Town Center Plaza, where there is the splash pad, and booths with activities, and a stage setup for the band. The food options are decent (Filipino, burgers, pineapple drinks, Mexican snacks, etc.), but expect to wait for the food for a while (30+ minutes) if you go after lunch hours. Also, it's always super hot since there isn't much shade, so bring lots of water and covering if you plan to stay for a while. Tip: 1) Come on Friday if you don't like crowd 2) Parade starts at 1PM on Sundays 3) If you want to enjoy some food without waiting, go to the food area (in the library parking lot) before noon.

Got some Chicken Quesadillas from the Antojitos Lucy Mexican Food vendor, which was very tasty! Also bought a Watermelon drink. SO frickin' good!!! This was my first time at this event and I really didn't know what to expect…read more Upon arrival I could see that it was a street vendor event, however, what I didnt' anticipate was the vast number of vendors that were there and the number of streets that were blocked off for the event. It started to rain shortly after I arrived but the rain only lasted about 15 minutes so the "party" kept rolling and I got a free Alaskan Airlines umbrella in the interim. Although I was tempted to purchase a cutting board with a swanky etching, I only ended up buying a hot dog from Dawg Eat Dogs. It was good and I probably should have had two. Well, I did also get a nitro cold brew coffee. They had a few classic cars out there and a stage. I did spend some time gawking over the 66s and 67s - good cars that they don't make anymore. I didn't get to hear or see any performances on the stage but I'm sure that they had something at some point during the Festival. Overall not bad, it was an okay way to spend a dreary day outside without getting too soaked.

Many business here to choose from, some of which are actually local. 2 stages for live entertainment, a little classic car show, and a good number of food trucks so you can get the feelings of going to the fair. In the 2026 carnival, the food booths and vendor booths are same as every other festival (I go to many). The 'carnival' has crafty, homemade type of games and designed for children, limited to 5 feet and under. There are two bands on separate stages. The coolest aspects are in the neighborhood itself as I admire murals on the walls. We wandered in somewhere that had free viewing of movies that were made by handheld-cameras; that was unusual though not necessarily enjoyable. The best part was finding bathrooms to use. I doubt I will prioritize revisiting in future years.

It's not meant to be a street festival, merging with local businesses on the streets. Instead, it's at primarily Liberty Park, with numerous features to entertain all ages. Community services and local businesses set up booths offering swags and information. A children's play area for fair type of games, some at extra cost Petting and feeding zoo was highly popular for kids and adults - especially the camel and alpaca. An Art Market area offers hand made items for purchase Band and seating area Large beer garden area Food booths offering food and drinks The Renton History Museum is free during this weekend too. There is free parking by the library, and we easily found street parking nearby. We've been to this festival maybe 5 to 6 times over the years, and always found it to be enjoyable, a fun way to spend a couple of hours.

The lines were mostly reasonable being in the middle of the day. There is a map set up in the intersections. Even though there are only 4 blocks of space, there are PLENTY to choose from. For reasons unknown, Block 1 is the most packed, side-by-side, with food tracks. Coincidentally, I also think this block easily had the best food. Based on the crowded foot traffic, others agreed. The organizers need to spread things out better considering there are space in the other blocks. For the food, we chose: 12 Spice or Indonesian Rendang The mushroom topping over turmeric rice was AMAZING!! For such a seemingly simple dish, the flavor is absolutely incredible. Highly recommend. Cost is $8 Alaska Weathervane Scallops We chose two options - mushroom sauce over rice pilaf and over coleslaw, their salad. They also have a taco option. Rice pilaf is the better option by far. Their coleslaw is not remotely refined enough. The scallops are amazing, though! The entrées at $14 are very reasonable. Taco Bahia We had the Nellie - Grilled Salmon tacos at $14. To be honest, valid, I don't realize you can't touch them. I also loved walking through all the competition displays. The garden and flower entries were amazing - everything looked so perfect it almost seemed fake. I did not expect to become emotionally invested in competitive flowers, but here we are. There were also a bunch of art submissions for some kind of contest, and that was really fun to look through too. I liked seeing how different everyone's work was and how much effort clearly went into it. The indoor booth shopping area was also awesome and wayyyy bigger than I expected. There was so much random stuff to look at. I bought some knockoff squishies and tried a remote massager that was surprisingly incredible. I went in expecting animals and fair food and somehow left thinking about whether I needed massage equipment. I also really enjoyed the museum areas because I ended up learning more about Washington while I was there. That was a nice surprise and made the whole experience feel like more than just rides and food. My biggest complaint is the corn dog, and I feel obligated to warn people. It is not a normal corn dog. The outside is more like pretzel bread. If you love pretzels, you might be thrilled. If you were expecting a classic corn dog like I was, you will be disappointed Overall though very fun :)

This VikingFest occurs yearly in May and involves the entire town. The people are kind and the foods are fabulous. We tried 4 different meat pies and can't tell you which we liked best! It was set up perfectly with the carnival and rides set away from the entertainment, craft, and food vendors that were located near the marina, which kept the lines down. We even attended the Lion's fundraiser Pancake Breakfast on Sunday! It was great. Yummy pancakes, eggs, sausage, etc.! All breakfast funds are going towards the Lion's scholarship. (I was a recipient back when I attended college in the Dark Ages, so please help out this group if/when you can!) Highly recommend this festival that runs Friday afternoon through Sunday.

Not only do you get to explore all the little shops in downtown Poulsbo, there are many little vendors set up along the waterfront. They range from the same old people that show up at every festival in Kitsap to people specializing in things like drinking horns. They have a carnival ride area that runs throughout the weekend. On Saturday during the festival there is a parade that is a lot of fun to watch. The "vikings" may not be the most authentic, but it is a lot of fun. There is a viking village where you can learn from the people that staff it and are set up in tents and wearing traditional clothing. The stage is filled with all sorts of entertainment throughout the weekend.

And it coincides with the Hawaiian week promotions that the store offers. Most of the festivities are outside in the parking lot. There are a handful of vendors and an entertainment stage. The store also does some Hawaiian product promos inside. It is a modest size festival that I go to every few years when I am looking for a taste of home.

I'm always hoping to one day see Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson there lol or like Troy Polamalu... sweet!
