Nature

Been a minute since I've been here. Needed some nature so decided to pop over. Beautiful gardens and trails. Easy going walking and lots of interesting signage to provide information. Seems the garden is stuck in between winter and spring. The faux spring in January maybe affected the blooms. Still a gorgeous garden to visit. High quality flowers and beautiful plants. Free entrance is always a plus and a great value. A lovely place to visit. SYOY!

thank gosh for easy parking here. Right by a Chinese school, so watch out for pedestrians during school hours. Could not find any staff that working here, so that is why my rating is not as high. but, the flowers were very beautiful to look at with the description boards being big enough for multiple people to read at the same time. I wish there was more information on why each flower got its name because I saw one called "Army Nurse" and was confuzzled why. It is free admission, which I like, and there are benches throughout the paths for you to sunbathe, meditate, talk, etc. I like this bay hobbit home, too, but I wish that there was a way to open and maybe have a little trinket area to gift or drop off items for other visitors to exchange goodies in

lots of Oriental spaces

Perfect place to kill time, or spend all day! We had some time to spare before our jam-packed day: waiting for hotel room to open up, waiting for our Boeing Factor Tour in Everett, waiting for Von's 1,000 Spirits to open up in Woodinville before we went on our Chateau Ste Michelle winery wine tasting, so we stopped here. Free admission, or donation. Lots of parking, come early, it fills up. Nice sunny areas, shady areas if you so wish. Themed gardens that are well-maintained, clean bathrooms and nice, friendly and helpful staff. Next time we're in the area we plan to stay a lot longer, maybe make a day of it instead of blowing through like a tsunami, which often happens when you're traveling with yours truly.

Nice fall flowers

Great botanical garden so close to downtown Bellevue and free! They have a great variety of plants and flowers and the trails are easy to navigate and clearly marked. There is even a cool suspension bridge that goes over a small ravine, as well as a Japanese garden - not as nice as the one in the arboretum but this one is free! There's also a great coffee shop, the Copper Kettle, in the garden as well as a small, cute gift shop. Only downer is that the parking lot can get very crowded on the weekends, and the parking spots are a bit tight. But otherwise, it's a great spot to spend an hour or two.

Such a great visit during my trip. I'm from Las Vegas, so majority of the year it is hot and dry, so we have nothing like this to experience. All the flowers were bloomed and beautiful, the parking was easy and nearby. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the Seattle area.

This 53-acre botanical garden is open to the public for free (with free parking too) from dawn to dusk, everyday of the year, including holidays. It's well-kept grounds, cultivated gardens, restored woodlands, and natural wetlands, is made possible by a partnership between the City of Bellevue, the nonprofit Bellevue Botanical Garden Society, and the Garden Partners. There are classes/lectures and calendar of events available on their website: https://bellevuebotanical.org There is a mix of paved pathways and gravel walkways so be sure to wear good comfortable shoes.

Beautiful beautiful gardens! Such a cool spot to check out. I usually fly out to seattle for work and usually stop by bellevue. This is my first time here. It such a nice and peaceful place to wine down.

Garden d'Lights is volunteering driven and they have done an amazing job. Well lit pathways and a great display of various themes including an underwater theme. Parking can be difficult, it's better to park your car at the nearest park and walk. Make sure to get the timed tickets online, no tickets are sold at the garden!

October and fall has been so kind with such beauty!

I love this beautiful garden, a great place to just walk or stop and smell the flowers! The fact that it's free is an amazing benefit! I really need to explore more next time, it's much larger than it looks!

Our favorite spot in the city to relax and take in the beautiful nature. Free during the week to visit and very affordable to visit during their holiday lights display. We make it a tradition to go every year. Bathrooms are clean. Their adorable gift shop is right near the entrance and a lovely place to stop by and peruse. I sometimes buy little things as gifts for people who love supporting local or are nature lovers in general.

A cute garden with plenty of parking available. Lots of different trails, flowers and a bridge. What's even better is it's free! For a free park I don't think I've ever seen one this well maintained.

Want something free to do during the day in Bellevue? Come check this place out. The paths lead you to a variety of areas. One has a peaceful structure where you can rest, another goes through colorful fall foliage (at least when I was there a few weeks ago), and others lead you straight into the mossy forest. My favorite part of the Bellevue Botanical Garden was the walking bridge above the ravine. I came here thinking it would be a simple stroll, but there was so much to see, I didn't even get to it all. Definitely a place to come back to in all seasons so that I can see the changes firsthand!

The Bellevue Botanical Garden is well maintained for a free garden. They have several varieties of flowers that flourish well in the PNW, many of which I cannot see in my desert state. My husband and I thought this garden reminds us of the walking gardens in Japan, namely the one next to Himeji Castle. If you like taking long walks in nature on a paved path, this is perfect. They even have a little cafe in the garden and a little gift shop in front. Bathrooms were also clean.

Ask the Community - Bellevue Botanical Garden

If I have my dog in a backpack, would I be allowed to enter?

Hello Luci. We have a no dog policy in the Garden, so allowing this would not be fair to our other visitors. It is best to leave your dog at home.… Read more

Hi there, Is this place good for stroller? Paved road, gravel road? Would it be too bumpy for 3 months old? Thanks

Most of the garden paths are gravelled. The area at the entrance and around the coffee shop is paved and a favorite with mothers with strollers.

The suspension bridge does move when people are walking across it, which is a bit unnerving for some people.

UPDATE APRIL 29, 2026:…read more REJECTED DONATIONS LEAVE ME DEJECTED I'm downgrading my rating of Redmond Goodwill from four stars to two stars because I had recently been told that they no longer accept e-waste electronics, except for computers, printers, TVs, and related electronics. But small appliances like microwaves, blenders, lamps, etc. that are not working or incomplete are no longer accepted as scrap. Likewise for scrap metal and plastic hangers. DELAYED REJECTION ENFORCEMENT = CHAOTIC/DISORGANIZED HANGER HANGUP I donated to this Goodwill literally hundreds of times over several years. They had always accepted all manner of scrap electronics, scrap metal, and all clothes hangers. When I tell them that, I'm told this had been the policy for some time, but only now they're beginning to enforce this "new" policy. This is not the first time this has happened. Also I was told hangers should be organized according to the various types of hangers. Huh? I see donations piled high and deep on either side of the two donation lanes in no particular order. And also they load up those blue carts in no particular order. And now they expect everything to be organized, or just hangers? LET US KNOW ON SITE, NOT JUST ON YOUR WEBSITE Now I will have to find someplace else to get rid of scrap small appliances, scrap metal, and plastic hangers, to keep them from going to the landfill. Though it is good that they spell out what they accept and do not accept on their website, it also would be very helpful to stick a sign out where they post their donation hours saying "we are no longer accepting (fill-in).", and leave it there for a while.

I have experienced so many benefits. From having a more positive and empathetic view with regard to people and situations to myself evolving more emotionally and spiritually. This all came faster and easier than I expected. I am immensely looking forward to evolving further. I already see a big change in how I am handling the major stresses in my life. With all the profoundly impacting and worrisome issues within our world along with so many people struggling with mental illness. I feel it is more important now than ever to be embracing this beautiful practice of Transcendental Meditation. Not only was my teacher, Utsav Bajgain, extremely knowledgeable and patient but I also now have these amazing and transformative resources available to me for the rest of my life through the app. This type of support is so very hard to find and simply priceless in today's scary and stressful world. I now feel at peace, relaxed and focused. I can't thank my teacher Utsav Bejgain and the entire Transcendental Meditation Community enough. This is only the beginning for me and I feel better and blessed for it.

I was told after I called out that I was no longer on the schedule going forward, and needed to have a meeting with the managers. Instead of arranging a meeting, the other manager told me that I was terminated due to my call outs. Having been homeless before, I would rather try and stay outside or in my car than staying here with the way the management is operating things. I would say, still utilize the day center. Jazzy is amazing (if they don't find a reason to fire her, too) Also, manager doesn't even know the textbook difference between empathy and sympathy. That's some basic foundational knowledge working in social services. Sympathy isn't "feeling sorry for someone." My termination text (yes I was terminated over text) wasn't even spelled correctly
