A beautiful place to be under any weather conditions and a sunny day is best for a relaxing day at the Bellevue Botanical Garden. With a baby in tow, it's a wonderful idea to spend time for some bonding. It's also a perfect spot for a baby to see beautiful flowers. The Copper Kettle, a nice small cafe for good latte with lots of outdoor space. Definitely worth coming for a tranquil moment !
This place has a wide variety of flowers! There's also a coffee shop inside. I like how there is a cool suspension bridge you can go visit. Parking can be a little hard to find in their parking spot, it is only one way.
Beautiful gardens that are free to the public. You can walk through paths with sunny perennial gardens, shade gardens, old growth trees and there is also a ravine with cool bridge to try. I go there for inspiration every season and just for a zen chill experience. Take your camera because you'll want to snap lots of photos! The garden has a gift shop and an area you can bring a picnic and sit under umbrellas or just in the benches scattered all over paths. There is a coffee shop but I didn't try it. Next time!
This was a nice little find. We got here late as my sister had to take her son to this de's appt. By the time we got to Seattle, it was already 1 pm. Once the entire family met up, we climbed back into the car and headed to Bellevue. Not sur if it was due to the time. But we were surprised there was a lot of parking available. We spent a good 2-hrs here which included getting lost and finding other street entries into the botanical park from a school and from other busy street corner at the bottom of the park. Nice and shaded, quiet little creeks, plenty of seating for those that were inspired to journal, plenty of elderly people using this time to exercise and stretch. We enjoyed the different areas like the swinging bridge, the Japanese garden and even the little cafe they have there. Fairly priced items and plenty of tables to enjoy a refreshment and snack. By the time we were done, the gift shop was already closed. So I took the opportunity to drop a donation into the box instead.
Throughly enjoyed my visit to the Bellevue Botanical Garden. You'd never think there was such a beautiful park in the outskirts of a busy city, and can't beat free admission and free parking! Near the visitor center there is a rock garden you can roam through, a flower garden with colors you never thought possible, a sculpture garden honoring extinct birds, and a waterfall cascading through groundcover. Just a short hike away is the ravine suspension bridge that takes you over to another loop trail through the forest canopy. The entire park is relatively flat and easy to hike with wide gravel walkways, and lots of staff around to welcome you in and give you directions and suggestions. Highly recommend this hidden find in Bellevue!
Lovely free garden with plenty of parking. Chamber music on Sunday, lots of wide paths, plantings, Japanese garden, and birds. It is well maintained and a pleasant stroll
BOTANICAL GARDEN @ BELLEVUE Parking is available right out front, which makes this place super accessible. There are also designated handicap parking spots. My friend and I visited on a Friday around 2 PM, and there were a few spots open, so getting in was really easy. I loved how simple everything was to navigate, there's even a map available when you enter. Entry and parking are both completely free, which is a huge plus. We walked along the trail and I'd recommend spending about 2-3 hours here if you want to take your time and fully enjoy it. We had to speed-run our visit because we had another errand afterward, but it was still incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend stopping by the bridge, it was very therapeutic and relaxing to walk across. There are plenty of benches and seating areas along the way, perfect for taking breaks or just soaking in nature. The quality of the space is amazing, with a wide variety of rocks, trees, and scenery that make the whole experience feel peaceful. There are also bathrooms located at the front, and you're never too far from other people, which made it feel comfortable and safe. Overall, I definitely recommend stopping by this place.
The Bellevue gardens is a pretty quiet and secluded little spot to relax and take in some nature. It's not a huge place, but it's big enough that you can spend an hour or two there, casually strolling about. No trouble with parking, and it is free to enter, so you really should stop by if you are nearby. It's worth it.
This free botanical garden in Bellevue is amazing and I can believe it when people consider it the highest rank touristy thing to do here. Parking is easy and the lot is adjacent to the entrance. There are nice dedicated trails to different "ecosystems", including a Japanese garden. You can take a little trek to the suspension bridge which my husband enjoyed jumping up and down on. We did show too early for the Garden D'lights exhibit, which doesn't start until Thanksgiving week. Would visit again.
Been a minute since I've been here. Needed some nature so decided to pop over. Beautiful gardens and trails. Easy going walking and lots of interesting signage to provide information. Seems the garden is stuck in between winter and spring. The faux spring in January maybe affected the blooms. Still a gorgeous garden to visit. High quality flowers and beautiful plants. Free entrance is always a plus and a great value. A lovely place to visit. SYOY!
thank gosh for easy parking here. Right by a Chinese school, so watch out for pedestrians during school hours. Could not find any staff that working here, so that is why my rating is not as high. but, the flowers were very beautiful to look at with the description boards being big enough for multiple people to read at the same time. I wish there was more information on why each flower got its name because I saw one called "Army Nurse" and was confuzzled why. It is free admission, which I like, and there are benches throughout the paths for you to sunbathe, meditate, talk, etc. I like this bay hobbit home, too, but I wish that there was a way to open and maybe have a little trinket area to gift or drop off items for other visitors to exchange goodies in

We had some time to spare before our jam-packed day: waiting for hotel room to open up, waiting for our Boeing Factor Tour in Everett, waiting for Von's 1,000 Spirits to open up in Woodinville before we went on our Chateau Ste Michelle winery wine tasting, so we stopped here. Free admission, or donation. Lots of parking, come early, it fills up. Nice sunny areas, shady areas if you so wish. Themed gardens that are well-maintained, clean bathrooms and nice, friendly and helpful staff. Next time we're in the area we plan to stay a lot longer, maybe make a day of it instead of blowing through like a tsunami, which often happens when you're traveling with yours truly.

I frequently visit Bellevue but never knew about this garden until lately. It's such a gem and tranquil place to visit. The peaceful atmosphere is just so beautiful and relaxing I felt I was away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I even spotted deers! There's no admission fee. Washrooms are available. Parking is free. read more
For some reason I don't remember coming to Bellevue Botanical Gardens before even though after looking at my check in count on Yelp it says I have been here twice. I also didn't have a review for the place previously which over time kind of convinced myself I never came here before. Even after exploring around I didn't really remember anything from before. So regardless if this is my first time or a refresher visit I paid a visit here recently. There is no entrance fee but there is a suggested donation. The little shop here is cute! There are several different sectors to these botanical gardens. Probably my favorite was one area with a lot of plants in bloom. Another area was a bit more wild and took me to a suspension foot bridge. I went across the bridge twice but kind of got a touch of vertigo as it is kind of high and the bridge wobbles a little as you walk. It's perfectly safe... it's just me and having a fear of heights. There are pleasant and tranquil water features as you wonder around and there was one with a pond with koi that I got in a short video. These gardens are very nice to kind of "get lost" in as you bond with nature and hopefully have a bit of peace with your thoughts from everyday life at least for a little while. read more
Bellevue Botanical Garden is a beautiful place. And the fact that it is always free too! It's open every day even holidays! To be a small botanical garden, there's a nice walking path and many, many beautiful flowers and plants to see. There are often local community events hosted here. Activities for the young to adults. They have classes that you can find and sign up for on their website as well. And the classes are affordable!! You may even see people taking wedding photos here because again it's beautiful. The park is ADA friendly. The path is dirt and pebbled but can be navigated with a wheelchair. There are bathrooms on site and a small shop. I have never purchased bulbs or plants from here but I know there is a big community around that. The coffee shop in the garden can get busy. But a benefit is we were able to charge my husband's wheelchair there on a visit. While the park is open every day, the coffee shop is not. Definitely this should be a spot for all locals. And not just a one time visit either. read more

Great botanical garden so close to downtown Bellevue and free! They have a great variety of plants and flowers and the trails are easy to navigate and clearly marked. There is even a cool suspension bridge that goes over a small ravine, as well as a Japanese garden - not as nice as the one in the arboretum but this one is free! There's also a great coffee shop, the Copper Kettle, in the garden as well as a small, cute gift shop. Only downer is that the parking lot can get very crowded on the weekends, and the parking spots are a bit tight. But otherwise, it's a great spot to spend an hour or two. read more

Such a great visit during my trip. I'm from Las Vegas, so majority of the year it is hot and dry, so we have nothing like this to experience. All the flowers were bloomed and beautiful, the parking was easy and nearby. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the Seattle area. read more
This 53-acre botanical garden is open to the public for free (with free parking too) from dawn to dusk, everyday of the year, including holidays. It's well-kept grounds, cultivated gardens, restored woodlands, and natural wetlands, is made possible by a partnership between the City of Bellevue, the nonprofit Bellevue Botanical Garden Society, and the Garden Partners. Garden d'Lights is volunteering driven and they have done an amazing job. Well lit pathways and a great display of various themes including an underwater theme. Parking can be difficult, it's better to park your car at the nearest park and walk. Make sure to get the timed tickets online, no tickets are sold at the garden! read more
Our favorite spot in the city to relax and take in the beautiful nature. Free during the week to visit and very affordable to visit during their holiday lights display. We make it a tradition to go every year. Bathrooms are clean. Their adorable gift shop is right near the entrance and a lovely place to stop by and peruse. I sometimes buy little things as gifts for people who love supporting local or are nature lovers in general. read more
Want something free to do during the day in Bellevue? Come check this place out. The paths lead you to a variety of areas. One has a peaceful structure where you can rest, another goes through colorful fall foliage (at least when I was there a few weeks ago), and others lead you straight into the mossy forest. My favorite part of the Bellevue Botanical Garden was the walking bridge above the ravine. I came here thinking it would be a simple stroll, but there was so much to see, I didn't even get to it all. Definitely a place to come back to in all seasons so that I can see the changes firsthand! read more

The Bellevue Botanical Garden is well maintained for a free garden. They have several varieties of flowers that flourish well in the PNW, many of which I cannot see in my desert state. My husband and I thought this garden reminds us of the walking gardens in Japan, namely the one next to Himeji Castle. If you like taking long walks in nature on a paved path, this is perfect. They even have a little cafe in the garden and a little gift shop in front. Bathrooms were also clean. read more
Super beautiful! My family made this one of the top stops to visit during our first visit to Washington. The park has a suspended rope bridge which is at the back of the park. A bit of a trek but totally worth it. I definitely would recommend if in the area! read more

This gem is tucked away in the hills of Bellevue, WA. I spent a relaxing morning walking through many trails. The garden was quiet and so peaceful. Water is featured in several locations, which only adds to the charm. I still only scratched the surface as the property is quite large. Entry is free to the public. You can walk to the gardens. However, if you're new to the Bellevue area and its most extreme hills, I'd suggest the free shuttle for the city (as of this posting). https://www.visitbellevuewa.com/bellhop/ read more

Exceeded expectations. Think less a botanical garden, and more of a multi acre forest. Café was clean and welcoming, and squirrels will literally run up to the bench next to you, i suppose they're used to be around people. Oh, and it's free! read more

Most of the garden paths are gravelled. The area at the entrance and around the coffee shop is paved and a favorite with mothers with strollers.
