I was in the process of moving and had a couch I was unable to donate because my cat had scratched it up. It was still a really good and comfortable couch, basically just in need of a slip cover, so I was hoping I'd be able to give it away, but could not find any takers. I eventually ran out of time and just needed it gone, so I did a Google search for furniture removal/recycling and found Angel's - they were able to come same day, on a Sunday no less. Communication was great and they were super flexible. My building is difficult to get to and large trucks cannot make it all the way up the steep/narrow driveway, so they had to carry the couch part of the way down, and that in and of itself was well worth the price. Wd probably give a 3.5, EXPENSIVE! They were def the most $, but kept my appt b/c I was too overwhelmed by being neck deep in my project to make any changes, which was a big mistake. I got at least 3 other bids that were lower, but to provide the pics and correspondence seemed too inconvenient- that's on me. The crew was great & hard working. They were done in a flash & were careful. But I called office to confirm pricing and all of a sudden there was another $20 in taxes and it just felt skeezy. The truck was in in very bad state, dirty and rusty. When I saw it I knew my furniture wouldn't be treated well for a potential second use, which I wanted since some things were almost new, and others were in very good state and completely functional. I constantly heard how things were hitting the walls or the floor, and in the end I saw them throw one of the chairs to the truck as if they were from the trash service. They weren't careful with the apartment building either so I was afraid something might break that would cost me extra after the apartment inspection, but there were no damages luckily. The service seems expensive to me, but I hired them in hopes of our things being re-used and the company having such a good score in Yelp. On the bright side, they were fast and not afraid of moving heavy furniture through a narrow stair. I was able to schedule it completely online too, which is a plus compared to other furniture disposal services. read more

Scheduled online to have an old grill, table and loose cement stones removed. Picked a time on a Sunday between Noon and 2pm. They arrived within the window, were polite and wore masks (given COVID-19), looked at how much we needed removed and gave us a quote before doing any work (which I loved, because it gave me the option to agree to the quote before work was done). They were done in less than 15 minutes. As I expected, they cannot take propane tanks, you must dispose of those another way--but it was awesome to have the grill and other items gone (the table was a TV stand that I can't take to Goodwill because they aren't taking furniture at the moment). I paid with a credit card right there on the spot--and then gave a cash tip--which they clearly weren't expecting, but were super appreciative of. Used them once before and they did a great job. A key benefit is that they recycle as much as they can and donate to local places like goodwill. This afternoon as I was signaling to exit a parallel parking space on Stone Way, waited until the lane was clear, I pulled out & was nearly killed by an Angel's Junk Removal truck going way past the speed limit, honking, & two guys flipping me off & yelling at us, which they continued to do the rest of the way down the street. The guy in the passenger's seat leaned out the window acting like he was going to throw something at us as they both continued honking, yelling, & flipping us off. No way on earth we'd ever use a business with employees like that. What on earth was your hurry that you had to barrel down a 25mph street, nearly smash into a car that was appropriately & legally signaling its way into a clear roadway, and continue to harrass us the entire rest of the way down the street? The moving company I used showed up the next day and let me tell you, Terry and Jose were 100x more professional and competent. My only critical feedback is that the company couldn't guarantee that my couch would be donated/reused. I guess it's dependent on Goodwill's demand for couches and Goodwill sometimes turns them away. That was dissapointing b/c it was implied they could do that on their website, and that was a major reason I chose them. My couch was only a few years old and I had it cleaned to get it ready for the next owners--so don't go out of your way to get your stuff cleaned up until you confirm that they can donate it. read more

Their communication was excellent, the pricing was fair, and I would not hesitate to book them again. I booked online 5 days in advance for a 2-hour time slot, and John called me an hour and a half before my time slot to confirm and say they could come earlier if I was free. I had them come by and they were here in a matter of a few minutes. I got an estimate from Pat right away and they started hauling. My junk was scattered in a pile in a way that made it a bit awkward to get to, but the pair got down to work sorting out the metal recyclables breaking things down to load into the truck. The price was even more reasonable than expected and they were able to haul away a LOT of items we were not sure how we were going to get rid of. Imagine my disappointment when my broken down recliner and Labrador Retriever smelling couch weren't a big hit on Craig's List...even when they were free. So, I realized I needed to have someone come and take away those items plus a few more odds and ends and had no idea who to call so I looked and Angels had the best ratings. And for good reason, the person who took my order was friendly and they were able to come haul our crap the next day!
