Happy Hauler did a great job getting rid of some old fence post concrete bases. They were very professional, asked me about anything that was questionable, and even came in below estimate. The only negative I have, but not enough to subtract a star, is that I was annoyed that the bill asked for a tip. Come on! These are not wait staff paid below minimum wage and depending on tips. Happy Hauler is charging a very high hourly rate. I presume a significant part of that goes to the workers and results in a pay rate far above a living wage. We used Happy Hauler for the 2nd time in 2 weeks this afternoon. They are awesome! The first time they came, we had essentially moved out of our house, but we still had all our old mattresses and bed frames, baby gates, old outside toys, and we needed it cleared out by that Friday so our realtor could stage the place. I was so stressed out about this old furniture, that I couldn't sleep. I stayed up all night reading reviews for junk removal, and this company had unanimous great reviews. I messaged them and received an immediate response. They were out the very next day, took apart what I couldn't and got rid of 4 mattresses, 3 bed frames, and so many other odds and ends. They were in and out in less than an hour and charged a very reasonable amount! Today's removal was the remainder of old random stuff that had accumulated in our house for the past 10 years. They came, got it into the truck in less than 10 minutes and were on their way. They have made my move-out process so easy and stress-free. They are nice guys, very polite, super honest, worked hard and charged reasonable prices. They also came within 24 hours of requesting service. I don't know about other people, but when I have a collection of junk, I just want it gone immediately. They make sure I can do that!! Can I leave 6 stars? Problem solved! After I put in a Yelp bid request in the morning, I got seven responses. I had good pictures of the items, including a tape measure for scale. So it was exactly clear what everyone was bidding on. Still, I got vague estimates. "Starts at $..." isn't helpful. Or having someone send me a .pdf price sheet really isn't helpful. I wanted to know what it would cost--for my benefit and theirs, too. That evening, Happy Hauler got back to me with a solid estimate. Their estimate was the lowest. They said they could come the next morning. And they did--exactly on time. Is Happy Hauler happy? Yes. The representative I met, John, was friendly and helpful. I paid on the spot through Happy Hauler's payment system on their website (they also have mobile card readers). I definitely will use Happy Hauler again. read more

Happy Haulers is a fantastic company to work with. When a charity understandably wouldn't accept our old couch for donation, we needed to get rid of it fast before our new couch arrived the next day. Our place is small and the idea of having two couches in a small area would have been doable but not the most desirable. I needed a company that was local, affordable, responds quickly and ideally eco friendly. Happy Haulers checked all those boxes. I contacted them at 2pm on a Sunday and less then 24 hours later at 8 am Monday morning, our couch was gone. Best of all with tax and tip the price was well within budget. Communication was efficient, not stressful at all, the team that showed up were friendly and personable . Amazing! It made me wish I had done this years ago. I also wish I had a "before" shot of my creepy garage. They completely flamed it out, including cleaning up the floor, which contained a lot of evidence of previous furry visitors. They also hauled away a lot of leftover construction material that had been sitting in my basement for years. And all of this in an hour! I'll definitely plan on using them again. A strong recommendation here for three reasons. 1. Responsiveness: John was communicative and fast in his response. We spoke on Monday and he generated a quote range. My range was $210 to $295 based on pictures. I agreed to the work as long as it didn't go over $210. Tuesday they came by to do the work. 2. Quality of work: They completed the work in quality fashion. We're pleased. 3. Honesty: I wasn't at home and again would agree to having the work done as long as it didn't go over $210. Well they called me and told me that they over estimated the amount we had and that the total would be $155. Again, I wasn't home and they could have easily justified the larger amount if they wanted to but surprised me with a substantially lower amount. 5 solid stars from me. read more

Oh my gosh, this company is amazing. I had a huge garage cleanout. Addie in scheduling was able to accommodate my scheduling constraint. Then Kevin and John arrived on time with everything they needed and did my big hauling job professionally and cheerfully, including an unexpectedly full attic space. I had a bunch of old hazardous waste and paint which cost extra but was worth it to have it taken away and disposed of properly. I would not hesitate to use this company again. I'm giving them 2 stars because I want to give them the benefit of the doubt (and because the women I spoke with were very polite), but I pretty much wasted 6 hours today waiting for them to show. I had scheduled online last night..I was expecting a call this morning informing me whether or not they could come at my scheduled time: between 11 & 12:30...I did note that I could be flexible on the time, btw. No call by 11:15, so I called them. I was told they should be able to make it between 1 & 4. I said fine. I could deal with that. At 5:45, I called to see if they were still coming. I was informed that, since I'd said I was flexible on time, they would get to me eventually today. At 7pm, I got a call stating that they couldn't make it after all... I get it, they were busy. Jobs sometimes take longer than expected. What got me, though, was that they didn't offer to pick up early the next day, but rather they wanted to schedule a pick-up for two days out. This is after I spent SIX HOURS in my apt waiting for them to call. My other option was for them to put me on the schedule for tomorrow, but no guarantee of when they would get to me. I told them no thank you, and I scheduled a pick up with another company. Again, the people I spoke to at Happy Haulers were very nice, and I know that sometimes things don't go according to schedule, but I could have been doing something other than waiting for the phone to ring, so I could let them in to my apartment...for six hours. read more

I spoke with Peter at Happy Hauler and he told me that he would call me between 2pm and 6pm today. He said he had a full day, but if I was willing to sit at home and wait for his call/crew, he would make sure to come and pick our stuff up. We talked through what items I had and I agreed to pay the driver cash on the spot. At about 5:30pm, I get another call from Peter telling me he isn't coming. He's not able to do anything until Tuesday. This is Saturday. The front of my house is covered in junk that I have hauled out, as well as stuff that my neighbor is throwing away after I urged him to. Basically, the value prop of this business is that they save you time. I could have easily taken all of these items to the dump myself in the time I have spent waiting for Peter and his crew to show up. I guess I should have. It is clear to me that they don't meet their commitments and don't care. By offering Tuesday after I spent this Saturday at home, Peter has shown that he cares nothing for wasting his customers' time and doesn't even feel obligated to have a solution that can work for his customers. See other reviews where they similarly fail to show or care. Seems like a value if you are lucky enough to have it work out. Otherwise, enormous waste of your time and "bait and switch" business practice. read more

Recommend without hesitation. Pros _____ They answered my inquiry quickly. They were prompt (actually, early, but they called first to ask if okay). They gave me an exact price which was reasonable When I found additional items they happily took them for a modest additional cost. They were professional and nice. (Nice isn't a requirement, but it is, well, nice.) The best part? They recycle and donate usable items. So not only did they take the trash, they took all the boxes of things I had set aside for a donation. And sheet rock which I know someone will be able to use. While I could have had the donation items picked up for free from some organization, it was proving hard to find a time to coordinate that, and it was a huge relief to have it all go at one time. DONT USE THEM! DANGER!!! DANGER!!! - We were moving so we asked "Happy" Haulers to move some of our house hold items. The owner was driving one of their trucks when hit/side swiped my parked car, hitting the left rear driver side!!! A neighbor witnessed the accident. At the time they did own the fact that they hit my car. (Hard not too!!!) but have ignored my emails, will not respond or return calls. I have sent numerous emails, with repair quotes, and have made multiple phone calls for the owner to call me back... NOTHING! I will now be forced to get an attorney, (which I do not want to do) but they have not responded, will not return emails and have done nothing to correct their mistake. Warning - I would go someplace else... or put your car in your garage so they don't hit it! read more
