The pool was well equipped for our younger kids practices, including having kickboards and blocks to practice starts/dives from. There was seating along the side of the pool, which was nice for if the parent(s) wanted to sit and watch us during our swim practice. First of all, I have to say that I sent out emails to lots of companies about the job I needed done. Barnaby, the owner's response was so positive and reassuring. The first sentence is his email was "No problem, we can take care of all of that for you". I sent an email back telling him what I needed to have hauled away and that very same day (June 30), he responded with "we can take care of it ASAP no worries! If necesarry, even as soon as tomorrow". So we made an appointment for the next day, July 1 at 2:00 pm. I got a call from Barnaby the morning of July 1 @ 10:30 am, asking if it was okay with me they could come @ 11:30 am. Since I needed them to come in the afternoon and not the morning, we postponed their pick-up until today around 2:00 pm. They called ahead of time to make sure it was okay to come over, as it was a little earlier than 2:00, I said not a problem and they were at my place in about 10-15 min. Barnaby and I took a little tour around my place, the deck and the garage so he could get a better idea of how much stuff I needed hauled. Then he and his co-worker went to work and got all the stuff off my deck and as I pointed to the items I needed hauled in the garage, they put those items in their truck. It was simple and quick. Barnaby was super friendly, out-going, kind and smiled the entire time. His co-worker was also very nice and a super fast worker. So thanks guys......great job!!! read more

We needed a old nonoperational hot tube and a damaged full size fiberglass truck canopy removed from the back of our property. We searched around on Craigslist and found Northwest Labor Industries immediately. After finding them I immediately checked Yelp to see what others had to say, as I always do. Afterwards I called and my call was answered by a very polite gentleman named Barnaby. I told him what we were hoping to have done, then he asked us a couple questions and we got down to business. Northwest Labor Industries was by far The Best Price we were quoted and I called 5 different contractors other than Northwest Labor Industries that were considerably higher in price and unfortunately were way less polite. Given the courteous interaction and the Glowing Yelp Reviews we decided to set an appointment with them. Barnaby called prior to his arrival per our request and him and his crew arrived promptly and on time. Northwest Labor Industries worked effectively and safely to complete the project and even cleaned up the little things. Its their attention to details, fare prices and outstanding customer service that sets them apart from the rest. Top Notch service offer by Top Notch folks. Found out about this company on yelp and read some good reviews. So, I decided to give them a try when I needed 2 queen sized mattresses removed from my home. They were prompt in answering my phone call and immediately received an estimate which was great. However, I wanted to shop around to compare prices just to see what's out there. There were a few other companies that I checked and some didn't even answer my calls! Eventually I did get some quotes and found that NLI did have the most reasonable price. Decided to give them a try and set up an appointment. They were happy to come the very next day to remove the mattresses. Barnaby called me the next day 15 minutes before they were going to arrive. Then he made another call once they arrived and got the job done in a matter of a few minutes. Overall, both Barnaby and Mike were professional, prompt, courteous, and did a great job. Barnaby and crew helped us out with removal of an old concrete patio from our backyard together with some old and heavy miscellaneous junk that had been building up. They did a fantastic job: they were able to finish in a single day as predicted, even though the debris had to be carted/carried around the side yard and along a narrow path, and they found some extra large and unexpected concrete pieces underneath the slabs which took extra time and effort to deal with. The crew was very professional, kept noise and dust to the minimum, and clearly explained what the costs were, including providing us with receipts from the dump. Barnaby made the whole process very easy from start to finish. I will definitely use these guys the next time I have some work that needs doing. Thanks! read more

Barnaby is one of the hardest workers I have ever hired for a demolition job. His team consists of strong young man who know exactly what they are doing, and exactly how to do it efficiently. I've hired him on multiple different occasions and he goes above and beyond every single time. Quick, easy, and most importantly.. CHEAP. For the services you're getting, it's a steal. Hire him now before he realizes he can charge so much more!! Not to mention, the guys are hilarious. I guarantee they'll make you laugh. Also, don't be fooled by barnaby's size and physique.. Barnaby, Nick and the rest of the crew helped us out with 200 sf of concrete demolition in the Kirkland area. It was pouring down rain, the hillside was muddy, access to the load out was challenging, but the guys attacked the slab with energy, resolve and a cheerful attitude despite the weather conditions. They found strands of unexpected re-bar in the slab, which were quickly separated, cut and hauled away, while honoring the original quote. Being in the contracting business, we value a crew that shows up on time and works quickly but safely to get the job done as promised. Hard-working, smart and reliable sub-contractors are vital to successful construction projects - we would not hesitate to hire them again! read more

I hired Barnaby for a difficult hot tub move from Bothell all the way down to Federal Way. He quoted me over the phone based on some pictures I sent him in a text to show what terrain he would be moving through looked like. The tub weighs 1,000lbs and the pathway was very awkward going down slate stone slab stairs and over uneven landscape and then down a 5' retaining wall! Barnaby and his 2 team members EARNED their pay on this move. I was impressed with how well they communicated which way to tip, turn and slide the tub, inch by inch through the jungle of a backyard they had to pass through. Thanks Barnaby and team! We couldn't have been more pleased with our decision to hire Northwest Labor Industries. We had accumulated way too much stuff in our garage and basement and it just came time to get it out. We couldn't even walk through the basement without having to rearrange the piles of junk. It had become a fire hazard. Going to try this again, don't know why yelp picks and chooses what to show and what not to, I had posted a review for Northwest Labor almost a year ago now and have just now realized it was never published. Had Nick and Barnaby and the guys come out a second time to our property last night, we had an entire garage full of household trash (again), and these guys made it disappear in a matter of 20 minutes. Honest quote true to the job, no complaints from any of the team, and a beautiful clean up completed just like last time. I just moved to Seattle from California and I wanted some concrete removed and hauled away so that I could have open layout in my yard to place down some grass and have nice summer hangout which I wanted done ASAP. I looked around and made a few calls and then I found Northwest labor Industries. These guys came out and got the job done so quickly It blew my mind how hard Barnaby and Nick worked! I hired NW Labor to empty an entire house full of furniture and junk and again to remove garbage after demo (including all the bricks from a torn down chimney) and they were fantastic. On both occasions they were prompt, professional, and easy to work with. They quickly replied to my initial request and met me at the house to provide an estimate (something others refused to do). Barnaby offered spot-on quotes and immediately let us know if something wasn't as expected. I can't recommend these guys enough and have no reason to call anyone else for these jobs. These guys were awesome to work with. I called them to request removal of my old Hot tub and Barnaby responded same day and stayed in touch up to the time the crew arrived to do the job. The crew was very cordial and fast; I was concerned it would be difficult to get the hot tub out of my backyard and up a slope to the driveway but they did it with just a hand truck in about 5 minutes. I removed my much-despised laurel hedge with my son. Two huge piles of laurel detritus, a big pile of root balls, and a few decorative concrete chunks. Barnaby quoted a fair price (I think), and was the only one willing to go by my house and take a look at the job (everyone else quoted me "rates" that could easily have gone past my budgeted number - thanks Barnaby). I found Barnaby and NW Labor by searching for "Hot Tub Movers." Best find I ever made! I live on a steep slope and the tub was one level down. I sent Barnaby pictures of the location and he said he could do the job. He shows up the next day with one other guy. I figured it would take at least 4 strong guys to get the tub up the slope. 90 minutes later the tub is on the truck and headed for the dump. Barnaby solves problems! read more
