Great place and wonderful concept, this is one relaxing place. Quick run down, this is a float tank that provides sensory deprivation meaning you will float in a controlled environment tank that will be dark and soundless. It's quite relaxing and I would go again as it's a nice unplug from the world. The session lasts an hour. Pretty straightforward stuff for any rookie reading this. The float area itself is very nice, modernish type of private rooms with showers, soap, shampoo, towels, and a few other items for your convenience. It's a very nice facility overall that provides a lovey atmosphere. Google and check out a few things on this type of experience, I learned about it from a podcast and wanted to try it ever since. I highly recommend this place and hope you feel as relaxed as I did.

Sauna/float combo is the highlight of my week. If I miss a week or two- I can notice the tightness in my muscles, discomfort in my joints, and worsened mood. Floating regularly has helped me so much physically and mentally. Plus, Float Seattle has such an amazing staff- they really make this place the healing spot that it is. The cleanliness and ambiance is impeccable. Good vibes all around!

Touched by this recognition. Love this place. Been coming here since 2015 and have introduced many to the benefits of floating. I'm hooked!

I've been floating for years and can't praise Float Seattle highly enough. Four tanks, including a large ADA tank. Booking a float is simple - through the app. It's a convenient location - off Greenlake with off-street generally available. Post-COVID the experience is secure. Staggered start times means I rarely see another client. The front desk staff are polite and courteous. The whole site is spotless and tranquil. Floating provides me with a quiet meditative time, which in these times is necessary and therapeutic.

I'm glad I tried Float. The concept of voluntary 'sensory deprivation' would have been strange 20 years ago, but now in a world where we're constantly stimulated, the idea of not having stimuli for an hour sounded really appealing. So here's how this works: You sign up for one of their six (?) float rooms. They open early and stay open late. I recommend the Ocean-sounding room because you can stand upright to step into it (versus climbing into a low-to-the-ground NASA water pod that looks like something between Abyss and Passengers.) Arrive a few minutes before your time so you can get the rundown: Get nekkid, shower, get into the ultra-salty epsom salt water. Don't touch your eyes/face once your hands get into the salt water or else you will regret it. PRO-TIP, use the ear plugs. Do it. They have ear drops for you to use after you're done floatin' around but trust me, do both. The salt is merciless and takes no prisoners. I was a bit trepidatious when I saw the photos of what appeared to be dirty tanks. I checked my tank and the few dark spots I saw did not come off. All good. I carefully step inside and float on my back (it's slick; be careful.) So there I am. Floating like Ophelia. It's dark, quiet -- but not sound-proof. Minutes slowly ticked by: 2: Enjoy floating, hands raised little above my head, totally suspended 5: Wonder how long it's been. Get salt in my eye 10: Use towel to clean salt off. Stay as still as possible 15: Drift toward a side MUST REMAIN IN STASIS! 22: Realize I can't tell if my fingertips are above or below water. Coooool 37: Tummy starts to rumble. Hope nothing bad happens 38: Think about all the people who have potentially passed gas in the tank 39 - 55: Try not think about it 60: Music softly plays to rouse me from my daydreaming about gassiness I *carefully* get out to shower. Crisis averted. (They provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, and towels.) After we leave, I noticed my back wasn't as sore. NICE. But for $39 as a first-timer, and $49 for a regular float, I know it's not my thing. I can see how people may like it. Try it for yourself!

After looking over all the photos, I selected the "Tent Suite." I liked the day bed, in addition to the big tub. The massage itself was relaxing - don't expect a deep tissue or anything. I asked for extra firm pressure before and during the massage, but we never really quite got there. No problem, though, because I was super relaxed and almost fell asleep. I packed charcuterie supplies and sparkling wine. I maybe overpacked on the utensils, because they really did have everything else there. This is a super romantic spot and feels very fancy for a special event.

We booked it on Friday and planned for a 12:00-2:50 p.m. couples massage on Saturday. We got up on Saturday and started driving, even allowing for a 30-minute buffer time. The GPS said we would arrive at 11:30 a.m. Unfortunately, our car, which we have never had problems with before, had just died on the highway. We were 30 minutes away, and it was an hour prior to 12 when the incident occurred, so I called them and let them know what was going on. I had hoped that they would be understanding and waive the cancellation fee, which is 50% of the total price. Thinking they would be understanding and flexible enough to even rebook me another day so we could still experience this and 100% pay them, because why would we not? That's not at all what happened. Management said that the masseuses still had to get paid somehow, and even after experiencing this emergency with our car, we still had to pay the 50% cancellation fee. We will absolutely not be returning, due to this company's lack of understanding and flexibility with its customers.

Luckily I did bring my yoga pants and they said it was fine for me to wear my own clothes in the meditation rooms. Normally I go to Olympus, but the last few times there it was so crowded and pretty dirty. Q is definitely a lot less crowded and much cleaner. Also, I went with a friend on a groupon which you should definitely check for as I have seen them offer these quite a bit. So process is -- you check in and they give you the "uniform" -- they only have up to size 2x and it is a small 2x IMO -- more like a 1x. It is a tshirt and shorts. They also give you your locker key. Q Spa is coED but they have separate bathrooms for men and women. They only thing coED is the meditation rooms, the common areas and the cafe. So, after paying and getting your uniform you proceed to your designated bathroom/changing room area. Your locker key has a number to show you which locker you are assigned to -- the spaces for the lockers are a little narrow, but not as much as Olympus. You can either change to your uniform or you can head straight to the pools. I like to do the mediation rooms before I get wet so after changing I headed back out to the common area. There is at least one meditation room on the ground floor but the majority of them are up stairs. I am not sure if there is an elevator for someone that is handicap? But they had a salt room, a chill room, a charcoal room and a sand room -- I love the meditation rooms. I guess the only weird thing is that there were men sitting in the common areas outside of the rooms just working on their laptops -- seems like a weird thing to do in a spa! So my friend and I spent about an hour and a half in the meditation rooms and then we were ready for the sauna, the steam room and the hot tubs! They have three different hot tubs of varying temps and a sauna and a steam room. In this gender segregated area, you remove your uniform -- so like Olympus you need to be comfortable in your own skin. It wasn't crowded at all (unlike olympus where you can be boob to boob with someone). My friend and I enjoyed this section of the spa -- it was very relaxing. We were starting to get hungry and noticed the cafe opens around 11am. So we got changed back to our uniforms and headed to the cafe. I love Korean food -- I can't recall what the dish was called but it was one of those stone bowl dishes where the food is still cooking in the very hot bowl. It wasn't quite as good as Olympus but it was still pretty yummy. Service was friendly and pretty quick too. I will definitely try Q Spa again.

I used to love coming here to relax and would visit once or twice a week when it was newer, but…read moreit's really sad that I can't do that anymore. The male visitors have turned this Korean spa into a bathhouse. You cant sit in the steam room, sauna, or hot tubs, and rest because the visitors are touching themselves and each other in there. I've tried to give it a few chances recently but this has happened the whole time during my last few visits. I thought maybe if I could visit on different times or days I could find a time to relax, but unfortunately it seems this goes on all day. There are a lot of signs saying there shouldnt be any sexual contact, but they don't seem to do anything. The only safe place for the men who want to relax is the coed saunas because you have to wear clothes and women share the area with men. As a Korean, I am just so disappointed that I can't use this Korean Spa for it's intended purposes. There are bathhouses in Seattle for these things, why can't these guys go there?
