As someone who has been a nurse for over a decade, and of that time an experienced IV infusion nurse for 5 1/2 years, I was a bit weary to try out a wellness and IV therapy business. Usually I would do it myself or have a fellow nurse friend assist me, but I don't have the supplies. Perhaps I steered away from these sort of businesses after visiting a Restore Hyperwellness location where I struggled to push off the gimmicky sales scheme that is part of their franchise. Thankfully, Arctic Elevation was the complete opposite. I called and made an appointment for my partner and I with an online deal I had found (Myers IV cocktail and a 15-minute infrared red light session all for $67!). Everyone around us have been getting the Fall funk and gunk so we were in need for an immune and metabolism boost. We met Kiley at the front desk, who greeted us with a welcoming smile. She went over the menu options and consent forms after sitting us down in their comfortable lounge chairs with a pillow, blanket, and hot tea. Next the protagonist of the experience, Miki, was our wonderful nurse. She was very friendly and excellent with her IV catheter placement skills. We both ended up getting the Myers cocktail (B complex, vitamin C, magnesium--though I wish it included Vitamin B12 and calcium as other Myers bags elsewhere). They also provided us with a heated eye massager and neck pillow. I was in heaven on Earth. Afterwards, I laid in the red light bed that was similar to a tanning bed but of safe, mood boost and inflammation fighting lights. They also offer an infrared sauna and cryotherapy. All and all, I will be sure to make the trek from West Seattle to Renton when in need of a treatment. See the attached photos of their IV menu and service offerings. FYI: Free 2 hour street parking in front does require you to register with a QR code.

Too expensive and your membership points expire immediately. Hours of operation are not consistent. Parking is not convenient either.

The nurse who I had been texting with (and who asked to move our appt-- which I accommodated) didn't have iron (she didn't know this when we were texting?) so my appt (2pm) rolls around, and no one is here. I text her, and she tells me that someone else will be coming, and they should've contacted me. Then I get a call from dispatch, who tells me the other nurse is 40 min away. Unprofessional and unacceptable to call me after my scheduled appointment, to tell me that it'll be 45 minutes late. I had clients for work that needed to be moved, due to this inconvenience. Dispatch assured me I would be refunded for this inconvenience, and I haven't heard a peep. No response to my emails, and the infusion was about 3 weeks ago. In addition, while the nurse was friendly, and she did everything as I assume she's supposed to... she didn't stay to make sure I was OK (this was my first iron infusion), nor did the company follow-up to ensure I didn't have any side effects. This is grossly negligent. When dealing with at-home medical procedures, as routine as this MIGHT be, you need to be following up with patients. For some people, perhaps home-bound, or for those just needing some energy to perk you out of your hangover, maybe this is a fine service. But I didn't feel like it was up to snuff, at all. And I am still waiting for that refund.

Since living in the greater Seattle area, I've been having a really hard time finding a cryotherapy business that gets cold enough for upper extremities and it kind of requires a little investigating because there's a lot of options. There's electric versus nitrogen and there's coming in through your feet, there's fans circulating up at various levels. Here we have nitrogen with the cold coming in from the feet with no fans getting it upward . You usually get a temperature check to see where you are before you go in and where you are when you come out to see how effective it was. I came specifically for upper body and I opted for the coldest. My lower extremities were 'freezing' at 43° while my upper extremities were like 60.. So obviously not effective. I would've had to crouch down at the floor level to try to have any kind of impact in a positive way to my upper body, but then I felt like I'd be at risk of touching the walls which could cause freezer burn. So unfortunately, their set up is not for me though they do offer other things that other people probably would love like the IV therapy, sauna, red light therapy, homeopathic natural doctor and staff is really friendly.

Whether you want to lose weight, fight off aging, recover quicker, or just optimize your health, we have an injection or proprietary IV drip that will help you achieve your goals. It is estimated that up to 92% of the US population is either chronically dehydrated or vitamin deficient. Most people don’t even know they are deficient, and are just used to feeling low energy and drained, and those who do are quite often taking supplements that don’t actually give them what they need. When supplements are taken orally, you lose up to 80% of the vitamin’s nutritional value as it moves through your digestive tract. In order for nutrients to reach the cell and work effectively, they must be absorbed and not digested. Our proprietary blend of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and IV fluids are infused directly into the bloodstream, giving your cells rapid access to the nutrients required to look, feel, and perform at your best. The reception team was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the guided introduction at the beginning--it made it easy to understand all the different amenities and made us feel welcome. The salt room was incredibly relaxing, and the jacuzzi was the perfect place to unwind. I also have to mention the snowballs after the sauna--they were such a fun and refreshing touch! The complimentary tea, water, and other drinks were always available and added to the overall experience. Excellent customer service, beautiful facilities, and such a peaceful atmosphere. I'd come here roughly three times before deciding to host a Galentine's Day celebration, via private booking. The multiple spa spaces (steam room, clay sauna, Finnish sauna, and more) make it perfect for a large-ish gathering to have elbow room (we had 20 people) while the layout also makes it intimate enough that we felt connected. Nothing like all your friends cheering from the hot tub while you cold plunge! While the spa is always "social" so no need to whisper, I highly recommend the luxury and fun of a private booking. Aside from respectfully keeping our voices low in the locker room near treatment rooms being used by other guests, we were able to laugh and toast to our hearts' content. On that note, the staff was so accommodating with a table for the snacks we brought, a tub with ice for our drinks, and generally all the coordination that it took to pull this off. They made it as easy as possible. And on the day-of, Denise was a particularly gracious host -- welcoming us and even patiently/considerately snapping a group photo from multiple angles (at our request, to be clear - haha). I'll be back many more times -- whether solo or with friends. So grateful for this urban retreat in a very convenient location for Seattle-area city'zens.
