If you're looking for a high end fancy spa this might not be your style, but if you love and appreciate nature, simple calm spaces, good energy, and no frills wellness, this will be your place. Jeanna's prices are very fair and I like supporting a small business. I also really appreciate anyone who helps make wellness accessible for all. I look forward to going back to use the infrared sauna and having my husband try the float tank.

It popped up for me again while I was scrolling on Groupon, so I decided to get the two float package for both my partner and I and for my parents. I'm so glad I finally tried it out! I don't agree with some of the comments about the location, I found it to be very cozy and relaxing. For a first time experience, and as someone who really struggles with going to unfamiliar places, I found it to be perfect and not overwhelming. When I first arrived, the owner was not in the spa area but some paperwork to fill out was left on the desk. I actually really loved that because it gave me some time to settle into the environment and process everything before having to interact with anyone, which is huge for me. As a person with both Autism and ADHD (and I highly demanding job), I really struggle with overstimulation, nervous system dysregulation, adrenaline fatigue, and periods of severe burnout. My muscles are always very tense, about halfway through my body became very relaxed and I spent about 15 minutes just stretching and felt an incredible relief of tension like I've never experienced. I actually cried at one point because I didn't know it was possible for me to be able to relax like that. The sensory deprivation and having the opportunity to relax my body for the first time in a very long time is exactly what I needed before returning to work at the end of Winter break. Even as a first time float, I had such a great experience and came out feeling much more regulated and calm. I had really been struggling mentally and physically the last couple of months due to work, I feel like this really helped with regulating my nervous system. I'm going to try out the once a week for a month package in hopes that it will help with avoiding that level of burnout!

Initially, the staff here was very nice for my friend and I's first float. The vibes became weird…read moreafter my friend got sick within 10 mins of her float session and had to stop. They made her pay for the whole session despite it making more sense to charge a cancellation fee. My friend asked if she could have a credit to give to her husband since she was still being made to pay the full price, despite not being physically able to complete the session. The manager said that she could give a discount but that was it, the whole thing seemed like a money grabbing scam complete with a tip screen showing up while having my friend pay almost $100 for nothing. No thanks! Buy some epson salt and put it in your bathtub, you'll save yourself a lot of money. Also, when responding to my friend on google reviews they compared her sickness to being at an amusement park but how you still don't get a refund? An amusement park has a million other offerings so where is the other offerings? That is the poorest analogy they could've used. They also offered a credit and erased it from their review the next day. Sketchiest company I've tried ever.

**Update as of 1/4** The business owner initially responded…read moreto my review on Google on 1/1. He said he would extend a one time credit. All I had to do was reach out. Now, 3 days later (the first day I had time to reach back out), he has changed his response. The new response no longer has the original offer of a credit. Instead, it's basically a lot of words to say that customer experience only matters if it's positive, something about how roller coasters don't give refunds if someone pukes, and the next staff training will include something about credits. My issue remains unresolved. Urban Float is a dishonest business that only cares about money. Buyer beware. Poor experience overall. Positives: -clean -nice staff -explained things well -places to dress, do hair, and skincare with good hairdryers at each station. Negative: My friend and I had our first floats 12/29. Including my pre and post float showers (5 minutes each), I was in my room MAYBE 20 minutes out of the 60 minutes I paid $99 for. I was in the actual pod less than 10 minutes due to uncontrollable nausea. I had no idea this would happen to me, but it's nobody's fault. The staff were polite enough to check on me, and get me water and tea to drink. I asked if the circumstances would allow for a credit (yes, a credit, not a refund) that my husband could use later, but was told by the manager that she can't. The best she 'could' do was 20% off. I wasted $80 to sit in a lobby. I realized after I left that their website says people who cancel within 12 hours of an appointment have to pay 50%. Yet someone who shows up on time and tries to participate only gets 20% off? It's unfortunate that y'all chose to waste an opportunity to turn a negative into a positive, and possibly gain some more loyal customers. Instead, neither myself nor my friend will be back. Sadly, she was also soured by my experience even though she enjoyed her float and Rex treatment. This is my 3rd time leaving a review, let's see if anyone actually follows up, or if Urban Float cares more about making money than "providing a clean, calm, and welcoming environment" as per their mission statement. I most certainly do not feel welcomed after this experience.

This is located in the first floor of an apartment complex in Bellevue - the lobby is clean and the staff person I worked with was friendly and knowledgeable. Each float tank is in a clean, private, lockable room with a shower and towels and ear plugs - everything you need. The float tank experience itself is pretty cool - after showering you get in the tank, which is about ten inches of water with a whole bunch of epsom salt in it. The water and the air are the same temperature as the human body so it's a bit hard to distinguish between you and the environment after a bit. You can close the tank and turn off the light for a complete sensory deprivation experience, or try any combo to your comfort level. Being able to float provides great stretches and opportunities for meditation. I thought it would be hard to figure get through an hour of doing nothing - but it goes fast! The tank plays music to let you know the experience is over (for now). Afterwards I felt like I had a great massage. Go!

Deep tissue massages are not for the faint of heart . They are not for those looking to go to sleep during the massage. She was firm and targeted spending most time on the areas that needed it most. She started on my legs and feet and then worked her way up. I was most impressed with the owner's knowledge and experience. She is an expert in Chinese massage and understands and is trained on the benefits of Chinese medicine. As a result she understands the connection of massage and other areas of your body. This is different than other local massage places. This is a high quality massage that addresses your whole body. Suffice it to say, that I left feeling so much better than when I entered. I've already made an appointment to go back.

I'd come here roughly three times before deciding to host a Galentine's Day celebration, via private booking. The multiple spa spaces (steam room, clay sauna, Finnish sauna, and more) make it perfect for a large-ish gathering to have elbow room (we had 20 people) while the layout also makes it intimate enough that we felt connected. Nothing like all your friends cheering from the hot tub while you cold plunge! While the spa is always "social" so no need to whisper, I highly recommend the luxury and fun of a private booking. Aside from respectfully keeping our voices low in the locker room near treatment rooms being used by other guests, we were able to laugh and toast to our hearts' content. On that note, the staff was so accommodating with a table for the snacks we brought, a tub with ice for our drinks, and generally all the coordination that it took to pull this off. They made it as easy as possible. And on the day-of, Denise was a particularly gracious host -- welcoming us and even patiently/considerately snapping a group photo from multiple angles (at our request, to be clear - haha). I'll be back many more times -- whether solo or with friends. So grateful for this urban retreat in a very convenient location for Seattle-area city'zens.
