Amazing in every way. Julie greeted us at the door and she was so sweet and showed us around and answered any questions. My first impression of the facility was that it was clean and reminded me a little of Scandinavian style with light wood finishes and simple, classy design. There was a cozy place with chairs and a couch and a fireplace to lounge in, with turmeric ginger tea, strawberry water, regular water, and a few snacks (I didn't have any, I think it was nuts and dried fruit?). The locker room was spacious with a sauna, two huge showers, two toilets, and a changing area with lockers. some toiletries were provided as well. I appreciated that the lockers had a keypad so I didn't have to carry around a key. You can change in the changing area, but if you want more privacy, you are encouraged to go behind the door of the shower, where there's plenty of room to change. The sauna was nice and hot. Loved it. We both opted for the Om package which included a facial and a massage with one enhancement of choice. I have to say, the massage tables here are the most comfortable ones I've ever experienced. They are heated for your comfort, although they can turn off the heat if you run hot. My massage with Allison was lovely and super relaxing. Afterwards, I was brought back to the lounge area where I met up with my friend again and waited for my facial. The aesthetician, Kat, immediately gave off warm and friendly vibes, and I knew right away that she was going to be great. Her recommendations were spot on and her technique was fantastic. Again, so relaxing and I wish I didn't have to leave. Hands down the best facial I have ever experienced. We were allowed to check in an hour prior to our appointments and stay as long as we wanted it afterwards We ended up staying and talking for a couple more hours and enjoying the atmosphere. Every single person we encountered was kind, helpful, and seemed happy to be there. They have product recommendations at the end, but no hard upsell which I appreciated. I will 100% return. Me and my sister booked facials here.The facility is really nice and the therapists are friendly. I tried the luzern facial. Howevr my facial experience was kind of ok, nothing amazing to talk about. For the price they charge I feel like it's a a basic facial and kind of felt quick. The main desk lady specifically asks if you want to a 20% tip for the therapist instead of letting you make the choice on the device in private.I found that kind of tacky, it's an expensive service as it is and customers should be allowed to select what they would like to tip. The whole parking thing almost pretty much ruins the whole experience. Walk, bike, bus, take a Lyft, so anything but drive here. I think it's a LITTLE pricey for what it is, but so is everything these days. Went for my 1st facial on my bday (10% discount day of btw!) and had a TRULY stellar experience. Booked my service last minute Wednesday night for Thursday morning. Plenty of cheap street parking nearby. You walk into an inconspicuous doorway, get greeted by the front desk staff who walks you back to the lockers with a choice of water or herbal tea. There you get into a cozy robe and slippers and get shown the cozy space you'll hang out till it's time for your service. Dim lighting, fairy music, comfy chairs! While I have no basis for comparison, I know a good service when I see one. I was lucky to get the owner, julia, who has 17 years of esthetician experience. She read my notes and catered the service to my needs. She had a gentle but firm touch and was great about checking in and giving information/questions to make the service as good as it could be. I got the signature facial ($135) and ended up adding on the acne peel for only $25. With tip it cost $178. As a labor worker on a treat-yo-self date I was worried about the cost not being worth it, but I'd do it again!! I left feeling like a little glowy slug. A lovely experience. read more

Let me start by saying the Sundari Facial and my facialist, Kat, were absolutely a 5-star service. I have to knock a couple of stars for the overall spa experience though. They recently moved into a new location and it just felt a little chaotic. The hearth/waiting room still appeared to be under construction, which I found a bit odd. And, although there are curtains hanging in that room, you can definitely see people walking by the windows. The space itself is kind of noisy. I heard multiple ambulances before and during treatment. Maybe a city spa just isn't my thing--I expected more quiet, calm, and solitude. While I was changing in the locker room, water started bubbling up through the drain in the floor so they had to shut down the women's locker room. I heard one of the employees offer to discount the service of another guest for this issue, but they didn't say anything to me about it. As I was undressing/dressing, multiple employees were coming in and out with guests to show them the locker room and explain how the locks worked, which was happening right where I was changing since the locker area is pretty small. It just felt awkward, like I'm trying to put my bra on as an employee is showing a guest the space and locker directly behind me. I don't know why they have to give a tour; providing instructions at check-in seems like it would be sufficient. I totally understand there are things out of their control--the water bubbling up, the city noise, etc, but at the same time, if you're going to charge me $370 for a facial (not including tip)--you should be providing a 5-star experience and this place definitely fell short of that. Kat was amazing, but I'm not sure I would return. I think I'll try another spa next time. read more

I've now visited Ananya spa a couple of times. I've received various facials and also a body massage here. If you're looking for massage services, I highly recommend Jay. They are very professional and my body has never felt more rejuvenated after an appointment. During the treatment they were knowledgeable of the human anatomy (muscle structure and how to massage properly) and was very attentive to how things progressed. I genuinely loved my appointment with Jay and will be returning for future visits. Facials here are a hit or miss from my experience. Some estheticians will go the extra step to read through your profile that you're required to fill out before every visit and some will not. Those that don't can easily use ingredients that don't work well with your skin so be sure to voice exactly what is going on with your skin and what your goal is. There are some estheticians who will focus on having a great experience and some will try to push as much product/additional services onto you as they can. Overall spa is convenient to get to if you're located in belltown/downtown. The facilities are clean and robes always feel fresh. There is an automatic 20% gratuity included which they highlight when you book your appointment easily online. Not worth the money. Parking is actual not difficult and is validated. I found the front desk to be cold and unhelpful. I also don't find the spa luxurious to want to linger. No private changing rooms in the locker room, and the "relaxation area" before a treatment is basically next to the front desk so doesn't feel private. I felt rushed when checking out - I even asked the front desk to suggest some products to buy and they brushed me away. The place feels very small and tight. read more

I recently had my first HydraFacial by Ashley and I was genuinely impressed with the entire experience. From start to finish, the treatment was relaxing, professional, and incredibly effective. She took the time to assess my skin's needs and customized the treatment to target my areas of concern. This review is not about the spa or about a facial, but about customer service. My family was visiting Seattle with my in-laws for Christmas this year. I bought my wife a gift certificate for a facial and massage with the intention that she'd be able to use it during our visit. While we were there, my mother in law experienced a medical emergency which landed her in the hospital for 2 days. My wife was with her those 2 days and the situation upended our trip, leaving no time for my wife to go for a spa day. I explained the situation to an employee (who was not helpful), then an assistant manager (who said she had to ask the owner), and then to the owner (3 phone calls over 2 days), and asked for a refund because my wife would not be able to use the gift card. Ananya's owner stated that they have a "firm policy of not refunding gift cards." And that was that. I felt very little sympathy or understanding from the owner during the whole exchange, and now my wife has a $300 gift card for a spa that's 3000 miles away from our home. This was meant to be a nice Xmas gift. Instead, it's $300 on my credit card for a service that she may not be able to use. I had to cancel other plans and ask for refunds from other vendors on our trip to make adjustments and had no problems. They also had "firm policies" on short-term refunds and gift cards, but were understanding given the nature of our emergency. While this may be a great spa, I would NOT recommend that you buy a gift card from Ananya, nor would I expect much flexibility from them based on my experience. read more

Well this is upsetting to say. I loved this place in its old location, not too sure about the new one. You would think because it's in a nice new building it would be wonderful but it doesn't feel that way. Let me start by saying this review is solely based on the new facility not the staff in any means. Front desk and massage therapist couldn't be better. Really top notch. That's why I didn't mind the higher prices since the move. But this was what wasn't working for me. The new ladies room. 2 bathrooms stalls, 1 sauna, 2 huge shower stalls and a large locker room area with key code lockers. If you are modest like me where is the private changing area? I had to use one of the bathroom stalls to change. No hooks in the bathroom stalls, so I had to put my stuff as far away from the toilet as possible. Just Eew. The locker area is huge and of course out of them all I had the broken one. I asked for help from an employee with them. Maybe less lockers and a private changing area at the end? The shower my treatment, I had the hardest time trying to get not burning hot or ice cold. It turns half way, but there is a button and depending on when you hit the button it goes further but, the temperature never changes, or it does all of a sudden and goes from one extreme temp to the other extreme temp. I don't know why, but apparently you need to have engineering degree in order to figure out how to work the shower temperature gauge. I was probably in there for 15 minutes standing there naked trying to figure it out. Now it is a huge shower stall, and I mean huge. There is a place to hang your bathrobe, but the water gets to where your bathrobe is hanging, so it's not like you can get dressed in there after drying off if you're modest. The treatment room, wow. The room was so hot and so stagnant. I'm a hot running person and so in the past, I've asked for a fan and they used to have them but they don't anymore. There is no ceiling fan so when you go into your room it is super hot and you get into a heated bed (which note to self: call ahead next time and ask for the heat to be turned off on the table), you just start sweating. My therapist was so kind and empathetic. She went and got ice and cooled me down with a wet cloth before starting. By the end my nose was so dry due to the lack of at flow and heat. So happy with service not with the new space. Hopefully they will make some positive changes before I am back. read more

The facial with Nicole was amazing, though I've had some light massages with other facials but this went beyond and I really felt like she was massaging away wrinkles and tension (it's still there but felt great). I never felt so bad after SPA and I just came home from Ananya Spa and I am still in shock. I booked appointment online 1 week prior treatment. They have autumn special package with swedish/deep tissue massage and ananya signature facial for $189. Everything was good in the beginning, I came 15 minutes earlier as they requested because of the distance in locker rooms. They follow all guidelines and it felt very organized. I changed and had my massage right away. Massage was very good and relaxing and nice music & ambience. Then I proceeded to my facial appointment. From here everything went downhill. We start discussing the procedure and she started recommending me totally different procedures than treatment that I was already booked for. She recommended me Hydro facial and said it would be really nice to do it today and it was constantly repeated. Finally, I ask her how much it cost? She said $240 for this treatment alone. If I would be shy and not ask the price and agree to that I would be sold something that I have no idea how much it cost. I politely refused and said we can do it next month. I said I would like to have something to remove dull skin, exfoliation since last time I had facial was long before pandemic. We agreed to advanced acne treatment. To be honest for $150 this is one of worst treatments I had ever. My nose was not even extracted. I had little extraction on my face, peeling and 2 masks, and blue LED light. First of all, I didn't had any clue what was happening during the procedure and my mouth was taped with their special mask which extremely uncomfortable to talk with so I couldn't ask. Second, Would be nice to have explanation, specially when you spray on the face and didn't notify customer that lying with closed eyes. When I came to check out they try to sell me some products that I dont even needed and I felt uncomfortable explaining that I have a lot of products at home and I dont need it. Check out process was another drama with payment. Receptionist said do you want to tip anything? I said what is the total? She said $272. Again, if I would be shy, I would leave with overpaying. I said wow really, how come? She started telling me I had 2 add ons which is blue LED and acne treatment which is more expensive than their signature one which I was originally booked for. She was surprised that I am questioning this. When I told her I didn't know LED wasn't included (which is) then she went to check with the esthetician. Then she came back and corrected herself said LED was included in my facial. Go ahead and swipe your card, I fixed the amount - she told me. I swiped card and get notification on my phone $272 payment. I said you didnt fix it? Then I said it doesnt add up amount is still high? ALSO, why I am paying full amount for swedish massage (regular price $111) if it was special offer and supposed to be $94 ??? The payment was finally corrected to $237 after repeated requests and I tipped in cash. It was such an awkward experience and I was frustrated. I constantly felt that they desperately trying to sell me something and I couldn't relax during my facial. I am just trying to support local businesses even with this masks inconvenience and new guidelines I still come to support but felt treated like money bag/robbed. Honestly, my day was destroyed and I felt like crying on the way home because of this whole frustration. Despite of supporting local business I was thoroughly disappointed in the way I was treated. Their priority was not a customer care but desperately to sell you expensive treatments or products that you may not need. They didn't follow my original appointment which was confirmed on phone and email. I will not recommend this place to any of my friends and neighbors in Belltown. Of course I will stay away from such a place. read more

I had a 95 Min Technology Facial with Mollie, and my husband had an 80 min massage with Sara. Everytime we go to the spa together, it always ends up that only one of us has a good experience, but not here, we both absolutely loved it and had the most relaxing treatments. Both of our therapists were accommodating, super nice and of course amazing at their job. Definitely give this place a shot, worth every penny! read more

Worst massage of my life from a woman named Crystal. She did physical harm to my neck (I have a doctor's appointment coming up as I'm very concerned about the damage she caused). Separate from whatever she did to my neck the overall experience of the massage was terrible I could feel her sharp nails and she tried to start conversations with me during (asking about what my tattoos meant) which killed the relaxing atmosphere I was hoping for. I think we all have gotten a bad massage therapist who has pokey fingers but this was really jarring because of how sharp and long her nails were. I do not recommend this spa for other reasons the facility was not clean to name a few things there was hair and grime on the changing room floor and a weird smell to my robe. I received an 80-min Lomi Lomi massage by Gerard and a 50-min Microdermabrasion facial with Shani. Outstanding. Gerard has an amazing personality and honestly, this field is perfect for him. Extremely knowledgeable on the practice, attentive the entire massage and checked in with me quite often to make sure I was comfy and the pressure was to my liking. Shani was also so sweet and took excellent care of me. This was my very first facial and she walked me through every product/step of the way. I left glowing and feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Came here for an aromatherapy couples massage. My bf paid extra ahead of time to extend the time, but I realized the massage didn't last for the full time. They spend time at the beginning going over the different aromatherapy oils on a tablet. I guess I didn't realize it would into our massage time. The massage itself was good. The small waiting room, which is an extension to the hallway is pretty basic and didn't give me a relaxing spa feel. As for the locker room, it was clean but freezing. They were blasting the AC. The last thing someone wants to do after a massage is to remove their robe and freeze their titties off :( read more

I came here for a massage during a solo mama getaway. It was just what I needed! I had some hot tea, got my naked self into a fuzzy robe, and met with the awesome Imani on a Sunday morning. Parking was FREE on a Sunday so take note! Imani was so kind and attentive. She led me through the aromatherapy process and I picked the aromatherapy oil to use for the massage. Overall a great experience! Next time I will book for a longer session because it was not enough time. Although I won't be able to see Imani anytime soon since I am visiting from out of town, it has inspired me to incorporate massage into my self-care treat/routine. I had a great virtual spa experience with Julie (owner) & Yelp friends via Zoom. I was able to give her a call, reserve a eye & hand mask over the phone & pop in to pick up. Julie was really personable and fun to chat with. I loved how she was fun and inviting as she walked us all through how to place the eye & hand masks on. We tried the Chill Mode (CBD) eye masks & Perfect Ten hand masks. Both were easy to do independently & were an affordable stay in spa experience. I loved the hand mask & how soft it made my hands feel & clean & bright my skin looked. The next day my eyes & hands were ready for the world. Julie let us know of all the precautions her staff will be implementing to keep clients safe and healthy as we navigate re-entering businesses due to Covid19.
