There's greenery, so you can picnic. There's a walkway out onto the water for a stroll. There are calm waters which garners tons of paddle boarders. It's such a sere setting! read more

Named after the Bay next to it, Meydenbauer Bay Park (with its small sand beach) is a public park in the City of Bellevue in the State of Washington. It contains a floating pedestrian pier shaped like a crescent, docks, kayak renting, and a small gravel/sand beach. The bay was named after William Meydenbauer, one of the early settlers of Bellevue. The land was initially used as a landing site for a passenger ferry, and then became Bellevue's first public park in 1953. It was rechristened as the current name, Meydenbauer Bay Park, in 2019 with the addition of the Crescent Pedestrian Pier. As it often happens in the Seattle area, it was cold and rainy when we went so the beach goers were minimal, but could definitely see it being busy on a sunny day. read more

Really gorgeous park a short walk from downtown Bellevue. We walked here after lunch and loved seeing the bay and small pier with the gorgeous lake houses around. On a nice day, there are people boating, paddle boarding or relaxing on the small strip of sand. Definitely a great place to swing by in the summer! read more

Beautiful designed park with a kid playground and a beach. Summer time is fun for water sport, but the view is all season, day and night. Some mystery people place and draw ladybirds inside the park, which leads me to find their final presenting place at near neighborhood. Water, breeze and sunlight. I love this place. I personally love the new Meydenbauer Bay Park and think it is not only a great preservation of space in the Bellevue area, but a nice area for family fun. If you think about the dollar value of this strip of land, I think it is admirable that the city kept and remodeled it, versus doing something to put dollars in their pockets. This park is easiest accessed by walking, but there is one lower and one upper parking lot if you come by car. I personally would bring my stroller and do street parking a few blocks off. There are gorgeous new playgrounds, a stunning dock, new restrooms, beaches to relax on, picnic tables to eat at, trails to walk, and so on. We loved it this summer, thank you city of Bellevue!! read more

Meydenbauer Bay Park is the new park, in place of the former Meydenbauer Beach Park. I was a fan of the former, as it was the only beach park in downtown Bellevue. Yet, Meydenbauer Bay Park makes this more of an open park with a boardwalk to the water that you can dive off of and a larger playground area for families. I liked the former and the present is fine. But I will say that what this new park lacks is green space, which is what the Meydenbauer Beach Park had. I especially loved spending a few hours there, laying out and reading on the lawn area and would carry a picnic. It was also a hidden gem, as the trees made it more seclusive. Here at the new and "improved" park, the boardwalk is nice and you can tell it's new construction. The playground seems to be a huge feature here, with some tables and benches and bathrooms, catering to families. There's a small parking lot and also an area for cars to drop-off and pick-up passengers. Location is definitely on its side, as it's walking distance from downtown Bellevue. With that said, that will primarily be the reason why I visit this park. read more

I loved the old park and I love the new park! It is definitely much easier to enjoy now, and you don't have to trip over 10 billion trees to get to the water. There's also a nice parking lot now! And a pretty beach area with grass, a playground, nice bathrooms with outdoor showers, lockers, and covered changing areas. Definitely coming back here to see the sunset! read more

A great park in the heart of Bellevue. We missed this park till now, we recently heard that the city of Bellevue had done a lot of development around this park and inaugurated it recently and went looking for it. A great waterfront park with amazing views, which includes a sandy beach with swimming area, a play area for kids and some walking trails. They have paved a lot of the walking trails and added a lot of parking. It's an amazing park!!! read more

What a gorgeous hidden gem minutes from downtown Bellevue! Although it is more somber during this covid era, it is peaceful and beautiful. You're able to take a small boat or kayak out to the lake, sit on the dock and watch the water glisten, or have lunch on a bench overlooking the neighborhood. Usually there is a playground that is open as well as swimming permitting when there is a lifeguard. It's a great place to come for some peace of mind. read more

Came on a Saturday afternoon, got lucky with parking and pulled up right as a family was leaving. Walked down to the waterfront, some people around but not too crowded. Water was enjoyable, there's also a playground for kids, plenty of benches to sit at too. Pleasant, quiet place to walk around with good water views! read more

The park and beach is a nice little place to walk around and it is probably nice to walk around at sunset for pictures. However, there is a limited amount of close parking and nearby. New Bay park launched Jan 2019. Small but clean. Easy access to water and sand beach, kids will love it. Legit playground and BBQ area. Pets on leash - not on beach, although I saw several on the beach. Kayak and paddle board rentals are available next door via REI. There are 2 parking lots each with limited parking available. So the park itself Isn't crowded... Parking lot for 6-7 cars...is quite not enough. You can find 5-6 parking spots on the street and another previous tiny parking lot nearby or use Bellevue Downtown Park. And then walk 5-10 minutes. Great place to sit back and just relax! read more

There's a beautiful fountain, small ponds throughout the park, and you'll often see ducks swimming around (though probably not during the colder season). In the winter, there's an ice rink, and during the summer it's especially lively with events like food festivals and farmers markets. I would definitely recommend stopping by Bellevue Downtown Park, especially if you have some downtime before a reservation, it's a perfect spot to walk around and enjoy the area.

The owner came up to me and said "I don't know why you're in an off leash park if you're not okay with him approaching you." I told her that her dog was harassing us and that just because it's an off leash park doesn't mean we can't tell her dog to get away. She tried to argue and said that her dog hadn't even approached us--turns out she wasn't paying attention when her dog came over before. Her dog continued to go up to every single dog and run around far away from his owner. The rules clearly state that dogs are to be under voice control and should not bother other dogs or park users. The woman then proceeded to tell us "you must not be from around here, no one has ever talked to me like that." I am so disappointed. I felt very unwelcome and I'm fuming. It's sad that those who who live near the park thing it's private and no one else belongs there. Just be aware if you live elsewhere and you want to enjoy this space. You may not be welcomed by the "park regulars."

What initially seemed minor quickly escalated into a much more serious, full-body condition requiring an ER visit and follow-up care with a dermatologist. I did contact management to report what happened. While they stated that their cleaning and maintenance procedures are within guidelines, that response was frustrating given the outcome and the severity of my daughter's condition. Proper sanitation of hot tubs is critical, and based on our experience, I would urge others to be cautious. Unfortunately, I can't recommend using the hot tub facilities here.
