What a great find!!! We stumbled across this hidden oasis Medina Beach Park, while in route to view a home. After just having our baby we like to get her aquatinted with the fresh coastal air, all while keeping her away from overly crowded areas; Medina was perfect! Aside from the picturesque scenery there were plenty of seating options, an area for children play in the sand, and the option to swim. I highly recommend adding this little gem to your must go places on a beautiful western WA summer day such as today!

Was looking for a peaceful beach to watch the sunset and we found this hidden gem! You just park, walk a few steps and you get these beautiful views of Mount Rainier, Seattle and Mercer. Definitely would be coming back hear often, mainly on clear sky or sunny days. Very pretty place to watch a sunset or take an evening stroll or have small picnic, they have a lot of benches to sit. Overall this place has such a calming vibe. Note: there sure were a lot of goose droppings on the grass, but wouldn't mind it given the views.

Great view! Very open view of water and snowy mountains. Love the chairs around the beach. Feel peace and enjoy sunset. Some nice flowers as well

This is one of my favorite parks. Located in Medina, right by city hall, the Medina Beach Park is absolutely stunning, especially on those clear, sunny days. The only negative about this park is that they unfortunately, do not allow dogs. However, many beach parks in the area do not allow dogs, so it must be a local ordinance. Between you and me though, I have snuck in my dog during non-peak season when people are not in the water, and I'm not the only one who's snuck in their furbaby! I would not recommend doing so during the summer. This beach park has a nice, lush lawn with picnic tables and benches that look out to the water, including benches on the dock. There's also a dock in the middle of the beach for swimming. Views of Seattle, including the Columbia Tower and UW Tower can be seen from here, including both floating bridges. You can't beat these views. I find that the Medina Beach Park is generally a peaceful place, as it isn't as busy as other beach parks nearby. There are parking spots at the top of the hill, and restrooms are at the bottom of the city hall building. I personally love coming here to read a book and to enjoy the tranquility.

Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Very peaceful. Beach is a short walk from the parking lot. Parking was easy to find. Keep an eye out for goose droppings, there are a lot of them here. Picnic tables and a long, low, concrete "couch" to sit on. On the flight path so a lot of jet noise. Still peaceful though. I'd return any time. Ryan and I enjoyed watching the sunset at this park tonight. We sat near the water. The light waning and the sunset's oranges and pinks and purples cast a beautiful warm glow on the softly lapping waves. Such a striking view of the city skyline. We enjoyed watching the lights turn on in the city, one by one until it seemed that there were a million tiny lights winking at us from across the water. Very nice.

This park is a little slice of heaven. The shallow beach is great for launching kyaks and there is enough sand for the kids to dig around in. There is lush grass perfect for picnicking, and there are even outdoor showers for when you need to rinse off after a swim. A little path lined with flower bushes leads you to another small section of the docks where you can get a great view of the lake.

The Medina Beach view is beautiful. There are plenty of benches and seating areas around the beach.

So beautiful on a nice day! Has sweeping views of Mercer Island, Lake WA, and Seattle (aka downtown and the Space Needle). Don't be discouraged by entering Medina - just watch out there are cops everywhere waiting to write you a speeding ticket. The police headquarters is located at the Park as well - if you were looking to skinny dip this may not be the place. Except on exceptionally warm summer days, it never get's too crowded. Picnic benches are there too for groups.

One of my favorite beaches in WA. This place is simply gorgeous and the view on Mt Rainier is stunning. This is a perfect place for a picnic and watching sunset... if you live around Bellevue and don't have time to drive too far, this is a place to relax and get some quiet time.

    Rules on the rocks.

This beach park is such a wonderful Place. It has a dock to see the sunset. Rules about the rocks that you cannot get on the rocksand it is near the city hall. The one reminder is about the bathroom. The bathroom has no mirror. The grass has a lot of bird turd. Nobody cleans the bird poop.

We were minding our business. The dog took my dog's ball and ran off. My dog was not a fan, so I leashed my dog and got the ball back. Sure enough, the dog came back. I said "no" as it tried to approach us. My dog was still leashed at this point because the dog was running around wildly. The owner came up to me and said "I don't know why you're in an off leash park if you're not okay with him approaching you." I told her that her dog was harassing us and that just because it's an off leash park doesn't mean we can't tell her dog to get away. She tried to argue and said that her dog hadn't even approached us--turns out she wasn't paying attention when her dog came over before. Her dog continued to go up to every single dog and run around far away from his owner. The rules clearly state that dogs are to be under voice control and should not bother other dogs or park users. The woman then proceeded to tell us "you must not be from around here, no one has ever talked to me like that." I am so disappointed. I felt very unwelcome and I'm fuming. It's sad that those who who live near the park thing it's private and no one else belongs there. Just be aware if you live elsewhere and you want to enjoy this space. You may not be welcomed by the "park regulars."

We discovered this place on accident, and have returned so many times that I've lost count. Most of the time it's not crowded, but the summer is busy with families swimming at the beach, picnicking with kids, and couples enjoying the warm sun and numerous lookout points. The surrounding trails are a fun escape and easy to find. They have benches scattered throughout so if you want to sit and relax to soak in the sun's rays, you can do that too. Most aren't strenuous or long, perfect for a casual stroll. Above the beach area is a good-sized lawn area that gives a birds eye view of the Lake, and designed for a picnic. Pre-COVID, this spot had to be reserved and there are posted placards with instructions on how to do so. Since then, that has been banned. Parking is plentiful, though gets a bit tougher to find when the weather is nice. If you need ADA accessible parking, there are a small number of spots on the lower side of the park. You will need to hang a left off 98th that leads you to a small entrance so keep an eye out for that. Restrooms are clean, plenty of picnic tables for social distancing, and my perfect hideout to enjoy the quiet in the city. Highly recommend paying a visit, but be respectful of surrounding neighbors as this is a private residential area as well.
