The lakefront views are simply stunning, framed by gorgeous multi-million dollar homes that add to the serene, upscale feel of the area. It's a family-friendly haven, often filled with friendly ducks, children playing, and people enjoying the water. Whether you're into paddle boarding, boating, swimming, or just relaxing by the water, the park offers a wide range of activities--complete with clean shower and bathing facilities that make it incredibly convenient. I've often imagined hosting a wedding or special event here because the setting is just that beautiful, though I'm not sure if it's officially allowed. Regardless, this park holds a special place in my heart, and I will definitely be coming back again and again. great park, amazing views! it's a park with many inclined roads , make sure to carry your stroller if you are going with kids as carrying them around isn't easy. there are many slides for kids with different age groups. there is also a sandy, rocky beach for summer playtime with few ducks visiting the beach! read more

Beautiful spot on Lake Washington. It's a steep hill to walk or drive down to the water. There is a small play area for children, grassy swarths to sit and enjoy a sunny day, a couple of benches, a picnic table under the trees, and gardens on the slope with steps and paths running through. Limited parking is available on that steep hill to your right as you drive in. A small beach includes a roped off swimming area and a bathhouse. We walked down from our hotel on a sunny day while exploring Bellevue (about 1.5 miles) and this was a relaxing spot to take in the views and enjoy the great weather. The park is located near a neighborhood and we saw some families walking into the park just ahead of us. A lovely locale to spend a nice day outside. read more

Bellevue's waterfront playground for people who pretend they don't live in Bellevue. A pristine boardwalk snakes around the bay, offering million-dollar views of actual million-dollar homes--because nothing pairs better with a peaceful sunset than mild class resentment. Kayakers glide by with the smugness of people who own REI memberships, while kids splash in the designated swim area, unaware they're basically bobbing in front of tech execs' living room windows. The grassy knolls are perfect for picnicking, contemplating life, or just judging the yacht scene. It's beautiful, undeniably so, and suspiciously clean--like the Bellevue city planners scrubbed away any evidence of humanity. But hey, if you're gonna be existentially confused about your Seattle identity, might as well do it with lakefront views. read more

Beautiful designed park with a kid playground and a beach. Summer time is fun for water sport, but the view is all season, day and night. Some mystery people place and draw ladybirds inside the park, which leads me to find their final presenting place at near neighborhood. Water, breeze and sunlight. I love this place. read more

This little/ not so little park is great. We live in downtown Bellevue and this is a good mile walk one way. Baci loves it. Tried driving here for sunset and almost didn't make it: parking is insane. Seems it's popular for sunset with everyone. More parking spots down below! The bridge is cute, you can only fish on one side of the bridge. The other side isn't allowed. Overall, it's gorgeous! Absolutely lovely park! Kinda weird to think that Downtown is a stone's throw away! In a lot of ways the super easy walking distance from shopping, restaurants, and other parks really does make it the perfect place to visit! Beautiful views of the water all year round, including a fairly long pier to walk out onto, and great for water recreation in the Summers. Very popular in the summers and parking can be crazy, but a little walking never killed anyone. Enjoy the fresh air and the neighborhood! read more

They just reopened the waterfront park! They're still working on gardening and few details (as of March 2019,) but so far so good. It's gonna be a hot spot this summer, I'm sure of that! Parking lot is very limited but you could park close to DT Bellevue Park and walk. Yeah.... I'm sorry friends, perfection does not exist, and Meydenbauer parking availability might be the downside of this spot. But hey! Let's focus on the bright side. They've a nice elevated playground, great sand beach, renewed bathrooms & changing rooms, and my favorite part: the curved pedestrian pier. The Curved Pedestrian Tier is the star of this place, specially because it includes a ramp for handicapped and/or kayaks for an easier access to the lake. read more

Woow one of my favourite parks!! I didn't know about it until a couple of years ago. It looks very new and very near downtown Bellevue. My only issue is that there aren't too many parking spots and you can't hang out for that long cause you have to move your car. But if you get to park, you can always spend two hours at the beach or the lawn upstairs or go paddling. In the summer you can rent a board from REI boathouse. Just be careful of the big waves from the boats coming from the left. Be careful of going to far because you have to row back counter tire and make it on time ;) On winter you can take a walk over the deck and talk great pics. In summer, you can take a jump and swim :D read more

Amazing new park that has everything. The park has a restrooms which are very clean. It has lots of benches and walkways. The views are amazing from several spots. it even has a cool pier that you can fish from. If you want to escape from crowd here is a place to walk to from Bellevue! It's gorgeous and beautiful. It's within walking distance from the Bellevue mall! You can walk, relax and enjoy the scenery! Kayak and paddle board rentals are available next door. There are 2 parking lots each with limited parking available. Keep in mind that you have to beat the crowd. It has a playground, and a few little lookout points and don't forget your swimsuit, it has a beach too.. The playground also has that squishy ground that bounces back, great for the kids to play on. A small playground overlooks the bay. A longer dock extends into the water. Great place for getway for family! read more

We spent a beautiful morning kayaking in the bay, playing in the brand new playground and gazing across the bay at mega-mansions and yachts.... Seriously who lives there??!? This park is lovely with beach access, swimming area, kayak/SUP rental, playground and manicured gardens. VERY exposed to the sun in the morning, I suggest a shelter. Plenty of benches. Parking can be quite the challenge during the summer days but the park itself is the perfect park. With the new REI building there - they offer canoe and paddle board rentals to enjoy the bay. There's sand for kids to build, shallow waters and deep water for swimming, a floating dock to jump off of. Views of Lake Washington and bits of Seattle. Above the upper lot, there is a playground a few walking paths to stretch out. The public restrooms are clean, there's lifeguards on duty during the summer as well. If there was food/drink options or vendors and easier parking this would be the ultimate spot for a hot eastside summer! read more

This wonderful little park is a stone's throw from downtown Bellevue, yet it feels a million miles away. A modest street sign reveals the entrance to a small parking lot below. It's a quick walk down the path to the shore of Lake Washington. Once you're near the water, you'll notice an assortment of very impressive homes, displaying some of that famous Seattle architecture. And a few yachts sprinkled in for good measure. An L-shaped dock enables people to enjoy the tranquility of being out on the water, or even do some fishing. There is a roped off area where people can swim and a small beach at water's edge. A nice play area is above it on the grass. Several ducks will keep you company so watch where your step! read more

A beautiful, intimate park in South Bellevue. There are a handful of benches to sit on and some shady spots if you get hot. There is a sectioned area for swimming, but currently the water is contaminated by bacteria and swimming is not recommended. There's also a small play area for kids. Shady Bellevue. Meydenbauer Beach Park is a park on the shores of Lake Washington near Bellevue Marina. It is just a few blocks to the west of Bellevue Square. The entrance to the park is not actually by the water. Instead, the entrance is a block up the street and you walk down a road to get to it. There is a good handful of parking spots here, but it is relatively limited. Hence, you may need to park on the street near the park instead. After walking down the road, you will notice a very serene park full of trees above. One part of the park lies below the underpass of a street bridge above. When you reach the water, you will find amenities like a children's playground and showers. There are also a few benches if you don't want to lie on the grass by the water. My beef with this park is that it dares call itself a "beach park". Beaches should have sand and this one does not. The sunbathing area is also quite small. I didn't really like this park. It is a bit of a weird place. It seems like a place in which hooligans would come to do stupid stuff since it is a secret garden/park of sorts with trees covering most of it. It does have the feel of a rendezvous point which seems like a more appropriate name than "beach park". If you do come here, make sure to bring bug spray as there was insects flying about all over. And if you come here by foot, be prepared for a steep incline walk back up to the main street. A walk that I think was not worth the trouble. read more

They have a well-marked swimming area and a nice beach. The bathrooms are big and clean. There is parking, but the walk is down a steep hill. Walking down from the parking lot, there are many trails to explore and the landscaping is elegantly done. Now, most people, I believe, come to this park on nice sunny days, I was there during a rain storm taking pictures. I must say, I had the park to myself, except for the 3 life guards who were there hoping for people in the water. It was a little funny as everytime I walked on the dock, the lifeguard, all bundled up, was close by. Did she really think I would fall in? I guess better safe than sorry. This park offers a well lifeguarded area, a place for kids to play in the sand, lanes to lap swim, multi layers of grass area to throw a blanket and read and nice clean restrooms. This park is a gem! Nice area for kids want to swim as it is sectioned off. There is also a walking path which is paved that loops around the lake? The play ground looks fun for kids. There is a bathroom on the lower level. REI apparently has a spot here where you can rent kayaks and canoes. $50/1st hour. The second hour is $10/more. Harder to find parking in this area. read more

Disappointed.. too many rules that don't make sense and no signs stating the rules so the lifeguards and park rangers are constantly on people. Maybe put some signs up?? We got all settled in our spot and found out we can't have dogs. So my husband took our two disappointed pups home. Later we took a couple very small floaties out but no, that's not allowed either. There's a rope for kids not to go too far out but it's still another 10-15 feet before before it gets deep. Kids must pass a swim test to go beyond rope. That's not a bad thing though. I probably won't return here again. read more

This park by the bay is absolutely gorgeous!! You get a view of the sunset on the water and there's a nice playground for the little ones and the sandy beach area . There seems to be a parking lot , we walked here from downtown and it's not far at all, maybe a mile? or so. We took the stairs that's hidden and hard to find from the residential area down to the park and the area is so beautiful like lush forest. I'm so glad we went because it was random and caught the sunset so it was a Perfect timing. Lucky for the folks who live in this area and worth a visit for tourists like us. read more

Believe Downtown Park is one of my favorite outdoor spaces in all of Bellevue, but Meydenbauer is nipping at it's heels. MBP gives you a little bit of everything; grass, play spaces for the kids, and of course, water. As the other reviewers have mentioned, it's quite easy to drive past the entrance of the park if you don't know where to look. Important tip: Parking spots are at a premium, so if you decide to walk down to the park from say Believe Square, it won't take you more than five minutes. It's going to be quite a steep walk back up the hill coming up from the bottom of the park, but hey, you're already outside, might as well enjoy the exercise. read more

Especially now that the weather is nice, get here early before it gets crowded. You will want to find a spot away from the playground, to avoid noise, if you're like me and looking for a place just to lay out and get some sun. It's a nice park that has a small playground for the kids. And there is a dock that you can walk out on, and or jump from into the water. Just know that the water can get dirty, so I personally don't like swimming here, but many others do. You can reserve the spot with the picnic tables and grill for private parties. read more

I came here to practice open water swim with my friends after trail running in Cougar! This is my first open water session. And, I will do my first triathlon sprint in two weeks! This is really last minute! This beach is part of Lake Washington. Surprisingly, it's close to Downtown Bellevue. Small park but there's blocked swimming area with life guards and outdoor shower facility. Parking is very limited but you can find street parking in the neighborhood streets if needed. You can tell who are the regular outdoor swimmers because they can swim in the water without a wetsuit., not like me, with a wetsuit on and still had problem :-P read more

This is a small park that could be tricky to find if you don't know where it is. It is worth it though! I found this small park on the beach to be quite peaceful and pretty on a sunny day. There is a playground for the kids, a small area with sand right on the water, and a dock to walk out on and enjoy the view of the water. What an adorable little park. The walk down to the water is hidden and long, but well worth it. There's a small beach area, which gets very crowded during the weekend, but it's a lovely bit of water to practice swim laps or splash around with kids on a hot hot day. The lifeguards are there from 9am - 7pm, so the adventurous ones could go any time outside of that range to swim outside the lines, literally. I came after a long hot run along Lake Washington Blvd and it was the perfect place to go for a dip, without a lot of boat traffic to worry about. read more
