    Morning walk with the pup!

Wilburton is a gem near downtown Bellevue. They have several hiking/walking trails through the woods that connect to the Lake to Lake train, Kelsey Creek Park, the botanical gardens and the Lake Hills Connector. The play area is new and big, there are bathrooms and there is ample parking. I recommend looking up a trail map before you go exploring: https://parks.bellevuewa.gov/parks-and-trails/nature-trails/wilburton-hill-park-trail

2 great-nephews in a tube. Sounds like a good name for a one-hit wonder band.

Excellent playground. Zipliner is so cool. The apparatus is very high...with various entrances...it seems like a tree house. Cool carousel thingy with net....cute choo choo train area with tubes...many slides..a fun wiggle "swing" which looks like a toboggan. Like how it's partially shaded.

What a great park! Stay away though, my kids like the zip line.

Bathrooms are lacking compared to those next door at Bellevue Botanical. It was smelly and dirty, and did not feel well cared for.

Great place to walk or run. Connects with the Botanical Garden so you can work into the trails there too. There is a trail with a homeless man sleeping as of this summer I came across, so be aware of that. Parking can be tough. Water and toilets available.

Such a beautiful, clean, and safe park (especially in the Spring/Summer! Took my toddler to this playground and he loved it! There is workout equipment right next to the playground which I didn't get to use due to a high energy ball child, but I do plan on using it when he is older and can play on his own! I couldn't believe there was even a small zip line to use for the kids!

This is a great park! Nice paved walking trail and best of all is the big playground. My kids had a blast!

I highly recommend parking in the Macy's garage or any of the garages near Nordstrom, as they're only about a five-minute walk and super convenient. Parking is free and generally easy to find, though the structures can sometimes close when they're completely full. Even then, there are plenty of other garages nearby that are still within a short and easy walking distance. I absolutely love downtown Bellevue, it's one of my favorite places to visit because of the great food, drinks, and overall atmosphere. Bellevue Downtown Park is amazing for so many reasons. The grass is very well maintained, making it perfect for picnics or a relaxing walk. There's a beautiful fountain, small ponds throughout the park, and you'll often see ducks swimming around (though probably not during the colder season). In the winter, there's an ice rink, and during the summer it's especially lively with events like food festivals and farmers markets. I would definitely recommend stopping by Bellevue Downtown Park, especially if you have some downtime before a reservation, it's a perfect spot to walk around and enjoy the area.

I've always loved coming here, but just had an upsetting experience…read more An unsupervised golden retriever came up to my friend and our two dogs and was harassing us. We were minding our business. The dog took my dog's ball and ran off. My dog was not a fan, so I leashed my dog and got the ball back. Sure enough, the dog came back. I said "no" as it tried to approach us. My dog was still leashed at this point because the dog was running around wildly. The owner came up to me and said "I don't know why you're in an off leash park if you're not okay with him approaching you." I told her that her dog was harassing us and that just because it's an off leash park doesn't mean we can't tell her dog to get away. She tried to argue and said that her dog hadn't even approached us--turns out she wasn't paying attention when her dog came over before. Her dog continued to go up to every single dog and run around far away from his owner. The rules clearly state that dogs are to be under voice control and should not bother other dogs or park users. The woman then proceeded to tell us "you must not be from around here, no one has ever talked to me like that." I am so disappointed. I felt very unwelcome and I'm fuming. It's sad that those who who live near the park thing it's private and no one else belongs there. Just be aware if you live elsewhere and you want to enjoy this space. You may not be welcomed by the "park regulars."
