This park is one of the best around - top 5 for sure. It's got baseball and soccer fields. It's got basketball and tennis courts. It's got climbing rocks to test young rock climbers. A track to run on, paths that wind through the park. It has swings and play structures in 2 different spots. It has open grassy areas with pic mix tables and a large covered area for parties. The bathrooms are clean. Overall the park is very well kept. We love this place and we come often.

Grass lawn park is in my top five of all time favorite parks! My kids can play here for hours! The park is huge with multiple sides to it. On one side there is rock climbing, swings and a toy that spins. It's super fun and not even the main park. Once you get to the main park there is tons of climbing and a big slide. If you have kids that are monkeys this park is perfect for them! The big climbing structure with the slide is probably best for kids 4+. My five year old does it easily but she's really gotten brave lately! There's tons of grass to run around on! Hence the name!

Great play area for the children, lots of picnic ground, love the big dome, clean bathroom, have different sports area, walking trails for humans and fur babies, overall very nice neighborhood park. I enjoy our walk here and all the greens. Beautiful fall colors!

One thing about parks that I am always on the look out for is free parking. Looking at Google maps the park is a big blob off of 148th and old Redmond road and you just think..big park. There are two parking lots. Well, upon entering the park off of 148th you see a small, tight, crowded parking lot and a tennis court and think...it's no big deal..blob on Google maps. However, that idea was clearly blown out of water as we exited the car and walked into the park. This park is huge and amazing! There are three play grounds, tennis court, basketball court, baseball field, soccer field and so much space! There's a huge covered pavilion to picnic where we saw soccer moms set up post game snack station..not sure if that's Covid protocol but whatever's to each their own. The baby toddler playground had so many play structures for kids to climb and slide..that area as well was teaming with unmasked kids shoulder to shoulder. The park is large enough to socially distance and there's more than enough room for your toddler to run around. It's also pretty cool there are rock climbing areas. The bathrooms are closed at the edge of the park but their are main bathrooms open. The other smaller playgrounds with the hexagonal jungle gym and the belly swing were not as crowded and virtually empty. This is a beautiful park but just be aware the parking lots get crowded and there are signs everywhere mentioning to play at your own risk. Go earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds.

Grass Lawn Park is a great park for all ages! There's a nice covered shelter which can be rented out, and also several playgrounds, swings, jungle gyms, sandbox, splash pad, this park has it all. There are also trails all throughout the park making it a great spot to walk around and get your steps while your kids play. You may bring your dog, but they need to stay on leash here. There's a soccer field, baseball field, and I think even tennis courts, as well as a track!

    - dog paradise!!! -…read more It's insane how long I've live here without ever really visited this park other than the two times that I was here for cirque du soleil lol. First of all, this park is HUGE! We walked around the center or the park and we passed by 3 playgrounds, one huge dog park and a garden. There was also a climbing area and they have ropes there for that too. It doesn't look too fun since it was burning hot. The dog park though .. OMG it's amazing! There are tons of little bushes for doggies to pee and jump around... Or play hide and seek. I love seeing all the doggies run around without a leash. I think it's just so wonderful and they all look super happy. Two huge doggies came to play with us and I got to pat them. They are super fluffy!!! I can't even tell the breed but they are huge with long fur! My daughter was in a carrier on me and she was a bit nervous when the doggies sniffied her feet, but overall she was fine with it. I also think this is also for dog owners to meet and mingle... Dog friends anyone? The garden is mostly for people to plant stuff, so it wasn't too interesting. There was also a performance area with a ticket booth, and several spots for picnic. Ps. Pay the $1 parking fee, or worry about the possible fine when you are spending time at the park.

Awesome park to bike to and around. Plenty of parking for things. Large. No complaintsread more

He took a claim along the banks of the Sammamish River and eventually became Redmond's founder and first postmaster. His nearest neighbors at the time were a group of Native Americans living along Lake Sammamish. Now that you've made Luke's acquaintance I invite you to experience the lovely park named in his honor. Just off Redmond Way and in the shadow of a high rise hotel, is a small parking lot that I've never seen fully occupied. The covered picnic area shelters several tables and the grassy area is perfect for lawn games or running children. Not far down the adjacent, paved Sammamish Trail is water access for splashing or communing with the water fowl, as well as a fishing pier for specially created those with disabilities. Fast food is available nearby if you forget your picnic lunch. Come, sit a spell and relax! Jan 20, 2019 The river level was down yesterday so I'm adding a new photo that shows the fishing pier area when it's not submerged.

I've always accessed this area from the Sammamish Slough Trail which runs alongside the slough, and I've always loved this grassy meadow area, just south of the Redmond Way bridge. There's a small stepped ramp for folks to walk their canoes or kayaks to the water, and a sweeping weeping willow across the slough to the west, with a picturesque picnic table nearby. The Landing itself, like the rest of the slough trail, has been renovated and updgraded a few years back. It still has a lovely trailed loop and expansive grassy area for folks to play frisbee or let their dogs run, but now is more tended too, and less "wild". During Redmond's annual "Redmond Lights" festival in December, the Landing here is ablaze with warming bonfires, XMas lights and singing choirs or entertainers. It's a lovely spot to break while biking or walking or jogging on the trail, to or from Marymoor or Redmond Town Center or the Woodinville wineries, etc.

My husband drove my daughter and I here this morning, and I was surprised to see some farm animals here (cows, horses, pigs, ducks, rabbits, goats). There were some kids waiting to ride a horse too, and it looks like they also took them to the trail in the park (there is an equestrian trail too (yes, I've never seen that word in my life until today lol). The park seems well-maintained, and the barnyard area looks clean too. There are electrical wire around some areas of the barnyard, so I'm guessing some people violates the rules of no feeding/touching the animals regardless of the signs. I've never seen it before, so we exercised extra caution while trying to see the animals at a reasonable distance away from the wires. The park itself looks like a forest with super tall trees and fresh air. Some parts of the park is paved and it also looks well-maintained despite the horse poops on the road. There is a small creek in the park that kids can easily get accessed to as well. The bathroom was also clean despite looking like a bathroom at a campsite. ps. There was also a cat who came to me to let me pat. It also meowed when I stopped meowing, so I had to pat it again (this repeated for maybe 5 times). I am not sure why nobody else mentioned this, so I'm guessing it's a stray.

This is an amazing oasis. There's a barnyard area with rabbits, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens,…read moregoats, ducks, and more! There's no feeding the animals as they're on special diets, but some of the animals like the goats will come up to the fenced area for pats. I can see why they don't allow feed, as when I visited there was a private party with lots of kids-the animals would have probably gorged themselves if there was free reign of food. I liked how there was an outdoor row of sinks at the restroom facility since it encourages good hand hygiene after petting the animals. There's also a family restroom to make this place especially family friendly. I didn't have time to check out the trails, but they go through a wooded area and it looked cool.

The dining groove is especially pretty in the springtime when all the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom! Most of the tables generally become occupied around lunchtime, but many people like to host a picnic on the grass lawn as well. Events would be held at the park prior to the pandemic, and sometimes art sculptures are left on display. Park has always been well-kept.
