I wasn't attracted to this park at the beginning. I wanted more hiking scener. Now I realize how useful and pretty this park is. I guess it depends on yhe activities. After coming here for years, I can certainly tell you it has pretty much what I need: fields for different sports, a running path, trees, playgrounds, biiig shelter, beach volleyball, and view. I remember it had a wooden path right where the new farm is. It has been replaced with pavement. I prefer the first type. Gave it a more natural and kind of bridge look. Walking on top of water and plants field . I am not sure if they get water now. I haven't seen tall plants nor heard frogs anymore. I like there are lots of birds singing through the days. I think this must be our favorite park around this area. There is artificial turf for soccer field, tennis courts (4), basketball court, easy parking, I didn't see or use the bathrooms, sand area for volleyball, grassy area, the playground is shaded by trees. There is a shelter area for picnic. A nice flat pavement around the park. read more

This place is very close to my house and I love the park layout. It is a good place for families to come with kids and dogs. I particularly like the enormous picnic umbrella and lots of space in general for picnic lovers. I can spend hours here with my family and friends just gathering, relaxing, playing frisbee, reading... PROS Great for kids Huge playground Good for events Nice looking park Very clean Volleyball sand area!!! CONS Can get extra crowded in a beautiful day Hard to find parking of it is busy, so we got to park on busy new street that connects Union and Novelty Hill Lots of poo at the dog area. PS: I usually do not bring my dog here since he is a tiny Maltese and I can't stand os all the poo on the ground. I don't get why people don't pick up after their dog. This is a little woodsy corner of Redmond that isn't usually the first place you picture when someone mentions the town. It's quiet, not too much car traffic--you even get here via a regular two-lane road, instead of a 4- or 6-lane mini-highway. Lots of houses with acreage as you come up. Long fencelines. Gently winding access roads for those of us coming in via foot. The main attraction here for most visitors is the sports complex: multiple tennis courts, softball/hardball diamonds, hoop courts. It's all beautifully constructed, too, and appears to be booked solid when the weather's nice. But the Bear Creek wetlands wind through here too. They're building a little slough to reconnect BC to its headwaters (if that is the word). And there's a big pond full of grasses and lillies in the summer, and chockablock with migratory waterfowl when the migratory season is on the wing. That's what really creates the draw here if you're not coming in for the game(s). It's not exactly an extended woodland hiking adventure, but it gives you a great scenic stroll on a lazy summer afternoon--no ducks, but plenty of fly balls at certain points. Lots of people out walking their dogs. Thank goodness they've preserved this spot, and continue to invest in it. The sports stuff is great for rec league, but the real bonus is hidden beyond the outfield landscaping--duck pond! read more

Wish there was more oF these parks around! My daughter had a soccer game here and during warm-up we were able to walk our dog. Lots of dog walkers and little kids riding bikes, but not over crowded, especially on the actual trail portion. There wAS less pEople. Not eVery dog owner is responsible though. There was at least three piles of dog poop in the middle of the paved trail that owners did not pick up. I ran out of bags and was only able to pick up one of those that wasn't my own bbut I shouldn't have to do that. Let's keep these trails clean and don't be so damn lazy that you can't bend over and pick your dog's crap up. The Soccer field was also used after my daughter's soccer game for baseball practice and there was a playground for the littler kids as well as to volleyball courts and several tennis courts. Perrigo Park is a community park off of Union Hill, tucked right behind Cadman Gravel. Trails wind you through undisturbed wetlands filled with aquatic wildlife. In the summer the wetlands dry up and are overrun with acres and acres of tall grass. The perfect spot for a bike ride. The trail will eventually lead you to the actual "park" area, which has baseball and soccer fields, sand volleyball, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a covered picnic area with bbq's and the cutest picnic tables complete with umbrellas. Bathrooms and water fountains are readily available. The trail is less busy in the early morning hours, between 9-11. Parking can sometimes be a challenge if there are organized games going on, so you might have to get creative. Try it out for a bike ride or a run or a game of softball with friends. Newer (2004) and kept up better than Marymoor. read more

Great little park in walking distance from my residence. I usually just walk the trails around the park, but sometimes venture into the sports area for water. The sports fields (baseball/softball/soccer) are astro-turf and look very nice. If the weather is nice, there's almost always someone using the tennis courts. Likewise for the sand volleyball pits. There is also a small playground for the kids, though it is tailored more towards the wee ones. Parking is a little sparse if there are games going on or if someone has reserved the covered ramada. There also benches spread around the perimeter of the sports fields and on the longer trail which are nice for catching a little sun when its out. Only downside, the park provides several dog waste bags and trashcans, but I feel like I'm the only one who ever picks up after my dog. I usually pick up dog waste from 2 or 3 other people every day and sometimes walk by more, but run out of bags. read more

Yes the areas to play sports is cool. However the playground, i wish had more swings. There is only one child sized swing and if you are there waiting for your child's turn people will not care that you have been waiting. Ive seen some people use the child size swing when their child is too big and/or could use the other swing with supervision of course, but the parent(s) choose not too and although its up to them what swing they use, i just hope the swing does not end up in bad shape and/or unusable do to other people. The park is decent otherwise. read more

This is our favorite park because it has a nicely kept kids area, a huge area to run and play ball, a track to run or ride bikes, soccer fields, a big sand area for volleyball or kids playing, covered eating areas and the bathrooms are usually pretty clean, for a park. We like the trail that connects with the track around the ball field and the natural areas to explore. I've met some really great people here too! read more

This park has a secluded feel without being low on perks. There is a fair amount of parking with 2 levels. A new looking playstructure with lots for grade schoolers to play on. There are also basket ball and tennis courts at the far north of the park. Near the playground is a covered pavilion with BBQ attached, as well as 2 volleyball sand areas. There are many picnic tables as well as some individual tables with little umbrellas off to the side. There is also turf covered soccer/baseball field. The restrooms are very nice and located close to the playground and covered pavilion for those needed emergency trips. The covered pavilion is rent-able from the city of redmond. ci.redmond.gov Definately worth checking out this out of the way park with lots to offer. read more

Unless you want to drive out to Alki Beach, this is the only place I can think of off the top of my head that gives you nice sand volleyball courts, plus theres no fear of water-logging the only volleyball you have. As long as the little kids nearby aren't digging giant sand potholes right under the net (which happens a little too often) the courts are in great shape for games. read more

I like this park a lot because it has a little bit of everything for the whole family. I'd say it's more geared towards older kids, but my 2 year old twins love to play in the sand as much as anything. read more

Came here for a kid's birthday. Space was decent, tables werent particularly close to the playground. The experience was tainted a bit by an incident with someone having a mental health crisis. Police were called. They took forever to arrive (maybe because the park is a little isolated?) and then they didn't spend much time trying to assist the situation and ensure the people in the area were safe before leaving. I realize this isnt the fault of the park, but just wanted readers to be aware that such incidents can take place deep in the suburbs. read more

This is a beautiful park that we come to every year for an annual barbeque. The pavilion is large with a nice timber constructed roof. There are two barbeques, lots of tables and plenty of garbage cans. They have a table like structure that has electrical outlets for potluck dishes. The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. Parking is nearby with some shady spaces. There is a playground toy not to far away as well as a sand volleyball court. I would come to this park more often if I lived closer, but I look forward to our yearly activity there. read more

Love, love, love taking my son here. The playground is good for preschoolers, plus there are two volleyball courts next to the playground that make a great sandpit (even though there is a sandpit in the playground). I like to sit on the grass between the two spots where I can easily watch him whether he's on the volleyball court or the playground. There's a huge picnic shelter plus a few picnic tables with umbrellas. A place to spend a happy few hours. read more
