What a fun park to have an end of the summer party! My kids and their friends met up for a beach party to celebrate the end of summer and start of the new school year. They have reserved picnic spaces but also lots of spaces where you can simply claim to use the day of your gathering. The bathrooms were not the cleanest nor was the lake water as my son left with a stomach bug the next day. The parking lot is a bit of a hike to get to the lake and picnic areas. I highly recommend using a wagon to transport food and drinks. Or you can have somebody pull up in the handicapped parking loop to drop off party supplies. read more

Our family lives near Pine lake park and we come once a week when the water is warm enough to have fun! There is a play ground and this entire park is perfect for large families and families with young kids. It has rock climbing walls,basketball court,baseball area,benches,swings and basically is the best park in the area! You can also barbecue here read more

Nestled in the woods, surrounded by the rush of the pine lake neighborhoods in Issaquah is Pine Lake Park. It had been years since I had stopped by this park and the minute I got out of my car, I could smell the wonderful pine trees and BBQ---almost felt like I had arrived at a camp ground and should be pitching a tent. THere is a bit of a stroll to get to the water, but easy and nothing to complain about. While walking, you pass by a nice sports field, soccer, baseball frisbee could be played here. Picnic tables are located with shelters and by themselves scattered throughout the wooded areas of the park. The Shoreside revealed a beautiful dock where a lifeguard sat and others fished. Although a cloudy day, there were a few brave kids swimming in the roped off swim areas. Bathrooms are located not far from the swimming area, a small boat launch for canoes, and such is available. The review would not be complete without at least an honorable mention for the ducks that reside there. I am sure people have fed them, but honestly I have never seen ducks not afraid of people, they come right up to you not afraid of people at all. It put a smile on my face. Great park to enjoy a nice summer afternoon, or wake up early and fish off the dock. read more

Beautiful, easily-accessed, clean beach with shade trees, and houses in the distance, encircling the lake, with relatively-level paths throughout the Park. Boat launch, kids playground, drop-off area with Handicap parking closer to the beach. Frisbee & dog-friendly grassy area. Laying out on the floats can be FUN, except when peeps want to fish... then, you have to deal with bait & possibly getting hooked ;/ Free parking, but the lot fills up quick, so get there early. All in all, a gem to experience... often! read more

A nice little city park with lots of choices. Basketball field, playground, water front, grass field...everyone can find their favorite activities here. My kid loves its playgrounds, while my wife and I enjoy its lake view. When it's not running, my family drive to the park so my kid can have a good time at the playground there. We like that the playground has two sections, one for younger kid and the other one for older, plus a separate area for rock climbing. It gives every kid an area to play, and the parents don't need to worry about the younger slower kid got bumped by older faster kids. And the playground is surrounded by picnic sheds and tall trees, which provided necessary cool shadow at summer time. Another plus is the waterfront by the Pinelake, which allow kids to play water in the summer. A walk at the dock gives us great water view, and chances to feed ducks...though not encouraged. It would be great if the park can have a trail so the whole family can take a walk along the lake, or among the trees. read more

Wonderful safe little treasure in Issaquah!! One of my favorite places to go sit! Can get very full and crowded but a charming location.

This park has it all. Largish lake with great swim beach and fishing dock. Change areas, park, playground, fields....Unfortunately, it is also the most popular park on the plateau. If you want to find a parking spot in the lot, get here early on a warm day. Otherwise, you'll have to park elsewhere and hike in. Because of the crowds, we don't come here as often as we'd like. read more

We had a picnic dinner here tonight. It was nice amongst the trees, watching the fishermen on the dock and the sun setting. There is a swimming area and car top boat launch in the water. On the land, there is a playground, swings, two little climbing walls and a basketball court. There are several built in BBQs for all your summer time grilling needs. My only complaint is that parking is a little far from the water (you can only drive in if you are launching a boat) or picnic pavilion, but you come to the park to get some exercise and be in the outdoors! read more

During the warmer months, they have a Summer Nights at the Park series with concerts, plays, and outdoor movies. Beware the crowds & parking during such events. -1 star for no off leash area. read more

Nice little park with a little of everything: grass and sports area, basketball court, BBQ areas, kids play area, kids climbing wall, dock for fishing, and LAKE. Swimming and wading are both available when a life guard in on duty. Parking is ample in the winter but difficult to find in the summer; additional parking is available across the street. read more

Beautiful lake! I love sitting on the rocks/logs and dipping my feet in the water on a hot summer day. Lots of ducks and the occasional blue heron. There is a designated swim area with lifeguards. Great place for kids and parents to swim/play in the water. Watch out for the crayfish on the lake bottom. read more

Just an amazing lake experience during the summer. Go early to get parking and bring your kayak. Had the family there this last weekend (the super hot one) and still found lot parking at noon. They have two playgrounds for kids but really didn't need them, we were in the water all afternoon. read more

We moved to Sammamish partly because of Pine Lake Park. That was 4 years ago. We now have 2 kids and we are at this park at least once a week...Rain or shine - we go. There is truly something special about this place. Also, any photo you have seen does not do it justice. There is a grand quality about the park that can't be captured in a photo. When we lived in the area, this was the place to be in the summer to go swim. Really enjoyed it... but boy that water gets cold come fall!

Easily, my favorite park on Earth. It doesn't have the best play structure, best trails or best anything. It's just a good mix of everything. Two play structures for differing ages, multiple covered picnic structures, climbing walls, multiple swing-sets, a basket ball court, a field, a couple good trails, a dock and a swimming area. During Summer they have concerts in the park on Thursdays and life guards on duty from the third Saturday of June to Labor Day in September. I take my cousins here and someday when I have them, I'll take my children here! My only complaint is the bathroom. I'll grant that you can't expect a sterile bathroom in a public park, especially so close to water, but it would be nice if we didn't have to hit buttons with wet hands to dry and use door handles last used by people who didn't wash their hands. It would be nice if they changed to a button-less drying method and replaced the doors with a series of walls to walk around similar to the restroom at the Issaquah Fred Meyer. read more

This park is fantastic, aside from limited parking. It has a big kids playground, small child's playground, swing sets including baby swings, lake access, reservable gazebo and other picnic areas. Definitely worth a visit. read more

What a great swimming lake for kids! Huge swimming area, divided up into different depths for different age kids. My kids, 3 and 6, loved it. There's tiny little fish there too. The negatives are that there's not really a lawn type area to sit on, there's just a narrow pea gravel beach. There's too much shade - they need to cut down some of those trees and make a little more lawn! Also parking was very limited, and we didn't find any - we had to drive to the school across the street, and walk about 5 or 10 minutes to the park. This was a hot sunny weekday, when lots of people wanted to go swimming. read more

Having just moved from the hot and humid mid-Atlantic coast, I can't remember the last time I spent six hours straight outdoors on Labor Day... without complaining. We joined some friends for a day of cooking out and playground/lake swimming. The time passed by so enjoyably, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how late the day had gotten. The playground area is nicely shaded with big trees, and there is a separate swings area near the basketball court. There are shelters set up around the playground area, and we set up camp at one where we could keep an eye on all our kids running around. When it got too cool in the shade, we headed down to the lake beach and dock, where it was really hot under the beating sun. As soon as I stepped into the crystal clear lake, I immediately cooled down thanks to the super cold water. The bathrooms are also pretty clean for a park and located centrally between the playground and water. The only negative were the bold ducks that kept coming to our shelter area to scavenge for food. read more
