There are 2 parks, this is the lodge side which has a covered lodge and a picnic shelter. It's near the water with walkable trails leading to the sports area. There is a dog leash area. Parking is good for usual days but if there is any event, you may end up parking on the street. read more

This park was so cute great for dogs and for kids more of a nature park verses one of those jungle gym places. Very quite and peaceful. A few people were fishing. The trails were very manicured and I could maneuver with a uppa baby vista through then with just a little extra lift a few times. Bathrooms were clean and had a nice changing table for a baby. The covered picnic area even had a fireplace on it how cool! read more

It's a beautiful place. If it wasn't for my Triathlon sprint race here, I would never know. A good size lake, the water was actually warm when I did my in August. I was very graceful. It's a very well maintained park with limited parking (I'd say approximately 20 inside the park but there are tons of street parking) Love the trees around the park, very nice and green. A big PLUS to this park, they have really nice and clean bathroom. I'd say it's very very fancy comparing with Greenlake or other public parks I've been. read more

A nice park in the neighbor hood that offers everything. Baseball fields, dog park, lake, forest, hiking trail, sheltered picnic area...all you can think of for a community park. The trail is perfect for a walk in summer. About 1 mile in length, not too long or too short. It's all in forest under deep shade, so it's cool and comfortable in summer. The scent of trees really refreshes your mind. It's my family's favorite trail. Many activities in the lake. Fishing, kayaking, swimming. Very popular place in summer. The big sheltered picnic area could be used for party and grill events. Very convenient. read more

It was a little tricky to figure out the correct part of the park we wanted to go for a walk. If you stop at the first one we did, you get a nice pavilion, some pretty water and trees . . . but no trail. You have to go about .25 miles north of the park to find the trail. Oh, and fyi, it is a short loop of a trail, but it does connect to other trails. We finally found the right parking lot for the trails. You can wander all around and see some nice sites. I'd save it for a less sunny day, though, unless it's really hot out. Most of the trail was tree-covered, and it was a waste of a sunny day (in my opinion). We didn't pass anyone while we were there, so it's still a "path less traveled"--yay! read more

I used to take my dog here often to run around and play in the shallows of the lake looking for the elusive beaver so brazenly depicted in the park's name. Having utterly failed my would-be beaver hunting beagle, I instead bought him a can of ground beaver meat at All the Best (http://www.yelp.com/biz/diyBSimJx-hVe12pxoSNhQ?hrid=3nERSNQ9AgVZL8VyFf2qpA). He didn't like it. They have great trails for running through the woods, some big open spaces, lake front access, doggie bags galore, and some spaces to rent out for parties. I came to this park for the off leash area..and I written that in a separate review for off leash. There are trail paths in the park that you can walk with your dog on leash. Some of the paths are shared with horses. I did not see horses on the day that I visited the park. The lake is very peaceful and there are trees all over providing good shade. There were picnic tables, shelters, and some grassy areas. It would make a good family outing but I did not see a playground. There are garbage cans in the park and I did see one dog bag stand. read more

This is a great park. The lake is small but not as crowded as Pine Lake, which is a big plus. Still I would recommend coming early to park. We've been here several times to let the kids swim and it is nice and relaxing. I have yet to take advantage of the hiking trail (we've hiked a little bit of it). The park has a nice setup with covered BBQ area. My husband really wants to get involved in the Halloween event. Too scary for our kids still. I hear it's really amazing. read more

I especially love the off-leash dog park area newly opened in the spring 2008. It's not huge, but big enough for my dogs to get good amount of exercise. The great thing about this dog park is that it's separated for big dogs (over 30lb) and small dogs (under 30lb). The big dog owners don't have to worry about their dogs accidentally hurting a little ones. The small dogs have a choice to go join the big dog's area, but the big dogs are restricted from the small dog's area. It has a water fountain for dogs, little people, and big people. It is also a great park for hot summer night. It has an access to the lake and the trees provide nice cool shade. Our dogs love to go swimming there as well. (You are not supposed to let your dog off-leash in the park except inside the dog park though.) The park itself has two entrance and parking area. Both of them lead to the dog park area via trail. The one by the ball field is closer to the dog park. The parking can be sometimes challenging when there're baseball games going on. read more

Affluence. We has it. I'm relatively new to the Sammamish area, so this park is new to me. I don't think I've ever seen one so well maintained. There's are huge expanses of grassy areas to lay in with plenty of shade and sun both. There's a nice long and well-barked trail to walk on, that goes past the lake and little ponds. Most of the trail is nice and shaded. Supposedly dogs need to be on leash until you reach the fenced-in (also well-maintained) off-leash area, but plenty of people were walking with their well-behaved dogs with no leashes. It seems to be okay and the norm. On the opposite end of the dog park, there's a huge picnic/BBQ area. On the day I was here, there were some 3-legged and potato sack races going on with a bunch of kids and families. Very cute. There was no litter that I could see; paths were well-maintained; and people seemed to pick up after their pets. This is a really great place! read more

Been riding my motorcycle to Beaver Lake a few times now. I love this lake/park. It's very quiet and comfortable. The park is not big but it's nice! Got a good area for picnic even for big group. read more

Large park with lots of interesting areas. Even in the off-season when they are not doing "Nightmare" it is worth checking out. I did a photoshoot here with some of my first clients in November and the colors and lighting were wonderful! read more

there's like a love hate relationship going on with me in this lake. This lake and the area around it is very clean. The lake itself is gorgeous. I've been fishing for a long time, and I do pretty well. But holy hell, I can't catch any fish on this lake. I can catch fish at pine, so I don't know whats wrong. The only thing I've caught is a few snags. but I will be back here once again, im sure of it. Maybe I'll come back with pontoon next time. read more

We took our little one down here for some fresh air and he loved it. The park consists mostly (as far as I have seen) of grassy areas for dogs and kids, some public lake access, and trails that wind through the forest. There appear to be picnic areas as well. The park is nice. Spots for picnicing, large grassy patches, walking trails, a gazebo area and places for people and/or dogs to swim. The place has free parking and one of the trails even takes you to the Beaver Lake Off-Leash dog park next door. Dogs are to be kept on leashes, except in the off-leash dog park, and there are multiple doggy garbage bags and cans lcoated throughout the park which was super convenient. The park was clean and there were a ton of families there so it was definitely a nice friendly place to be. I imagine it will be packed this summer. read more

Great place to do a family photo shoot if you are looking for a Pacific Northwest aesthetic. Make sure your photographer brings reflectors as the trees can block the natural light. There is the lake, a nice path, great trees, and a wooden bridge which make cool settings. There is also an interesting cabin, but it wasn't our style. The park wasn't very busy when we were there (winter) so we didn't have to ask people to get out of the background of our shots. read more

We went to the Beaver Lake dog park on a Saturday afternoon. We had been taking our dogs to Robinsgate dog park so we were happy to hear there was a dog park closer to our house. I like that they have a large dog and small dog area, although there were no small dogs in their area as they were all hanging out with the big dogs. The park has a double gate to prevent any escapes and it is extra long so perfect for Chuck-it throws. I also like the wooded area with trails, these are all fenced as well. read more

Very pretty. Nice trails. Cool picnic shelter with fireplace. Great for parties. Some fishing, but no dock to fish off. Great for canoeing.

Great park, beautiful outdoor pavilion! Great for Northwest style wedding with the lake as a backdrop! A must see!
