I visited Angar Indian Kitchen on Saturday evening, May 10, 2025, and decided to dine in. While the dining area wasn't particularly busy, I noticed a steady stream of takeout orders coming in throughout the evening--a clear sign that the food has built a loyal following. For my meal, I ordered shikanji, pani puri (gol guppe), and Amritsari fish pakora--and let me tell you, the food genuinely exceeded my expectations. The pani puri was the absolute star of the evening. From the very first bite, I was taken straight back to the vibrant streets of Punjab, where street vendors serve gol guppe bursting with flavor. These were perfectly balanced--sweet, spicy, tangy--all in one bite. What truly made it unforgettable was the pani (flavored water). I've had pani puri at countless Indian restaurants across the U.S., but this was the most authentic I've ever tasted. The pani had such a deep, refreshing flavor--it was exactly like what you'd get back home. I honestly could've kept eating it nonstop. The Amritsari fish pakora had a lovely crisp exterior and tender, flaky fish inside. It was delicious, though I personally felt it could benefit from a touch more authentic flavor--maybe a sprinkle of shredded radish on the side would elevate it even further. As for the shikanji, it was the perfect companion--cool, citrusy, lightly spiced, and incredibly refreshing. The staff was polite and helpful, though nothing particularly stood out service-wise. Still, their warm and courteous attitude was appreciated. The space itself was clean and simply decorated with a welcoming vibe, though I did notice the bathroom could use a bit more attention. That said, what truly made this experience memorable was the food--flavorful, generously portioned, and reasonably priced. You can tell there's real heart in the cooking. This place has a ton of potential if they continue to maintain the taste and fine-tune small details like overall cleanliness. I'm definitely looking forward to returning to try more dishes from their menu. If you're someone who loves authentic Desi street food, especially pani puri done right, then Angar Indian Kitchen deserves a spot at the top of your list.

I came to get takeout as we were craving Indian food. There are a few dishes I haven't seen at other indian restaurants. Most dishes we got were solid, especially the tawa pompret aka fried whole pompano. Inside seems clean.

The place is actually smaller than what it appears in pictures. Food was actually not bad. Daal Makhani was delicious and paneer tikka was above average but not really mind blowing. One thing to note is that King County food rating at the time of July 2024 was "Needs Improvement". Maybe they are already working on it. I found the food to be reasonably clean. Service was somewhat disappointing. The daal Makhani took a really really long time.

This place is newer, but a good addition to the area. The space is small, but very nice ambiance. Low lighting good for a date night or just a casual spot. We went here on a whim and it was surprisingly good. The service is a little slower, so make sure you have plenty of time. We ordered a couple things to try. The Afghani lamb kabobs were DELICIOUS! Definitely would recommend those! The chai was good, always love a cup of chai. Everything was pretty flavorful, definitely will be back to try more!

Craving Indian food and saw this place close to home. Glad we checked it out, don't let its small storefront fool you. When you see people bringing their families and enjoying the food you know it's good. The seating area can accommodate groups. Service was fast and attentive. The food was delicious. We ordered the Pani Puri, Chicken tandoori, Goat Kasha and Pindi Chole chickpeas along with roti and naan. The food also came with a small bucket of basmati rice. Will be back to try more of their menu!

My family and I were in search for some great Indian food. All of the dishes we ordered were fulled with amazing bold flavors. Reminded us of a restaurant we loved back home in California. The restaurant is small and cozy with beautiful decorations and beautiful painting on the walls. The servers were kind and attentive during our visit making us feel at home. We cannot wait to come back!

Small sit down restaurant. Manchurian was just ok. But lachcha paratha, fried rice and kofta were good. Food was fresh and kofta comes with white plain rice. Service was good. Worth trying!

The nicest person who treated more like family than a customer!

We ordered what we considered signature dishes. Chicken Tikki Masala, Chicken Biryani, Cauliflower Gobi, Garlic Naan, and their special Chili Naan with cheese. We debated between 3 and 4 star heat. I think this influenced the chef to go easy on the heat. So definitely not spicy, which we had wanted so we were bummed on that. However, the owner was willing to remake the dish but we felt that would be wasteful for food. The chicken tikki masala was tender, delicious with excellent spices but not spicy... The cauliflower Gobi was delicious and served on a nice tray...not spicy... The chicken biryani was delicious with crispy onions and yogurt sauce. Great dish but not spicy Garlic Naan was okay but it was too thin and needed more garlic Signature chili spice Naan with cheese was great. Perfect thickness and cheese inside. Great place. Friendly staff, great food. Will try again for spicy.

Menu options were good but too too much options with goat meat....we got our food in about 15 mins after we ordered and it was pretty good but not awesome. Saag paneer was pretty good and quantity was plentiful. The paneer with salad was innovative and it was tasty. So overall I would this is a good place to pick up and they are worthy to give it a try.
