Coworker and I decided to have lunch around this area and walked over here around 12pm. The inside is set up like a gas station with a couple rows of snacks and fridges full of drinks. Only difference is that one of these aisles has freshly made food like musubi and pastries like brownies and cupcakes. There's even a dedicated kitchen near the cash register where you can order full dishes like omelettes, teriyaki combos and even sandwiches beyond the ones offered inside the fridges! The two of us were oogling at the amount of offerings on their menu and even the pastries they had out. Whether you're paying for stuff you got at the tacks or ordering food from the kitchen, you have to line up at the cash register to get them. I got the loco moco with a single patty while my coworker got their chicken patty - though I eventually had a bite of this myself. For about $14 before tax, the loco moco is extremely filling, mostly because of the rice. Everything else was really good, though. Patty is dry by itself but the gravy and caramelized onions gave it the taste it needed. I asked for my eggs scrambled which is what I got, and it also was a little bland while also having the gravy more than make up for the lack of taste. As for the chicken burger, it is one chicken patty with melted cheddar cheese all in two sesame buns. This was pretty small but makes for a good, quick lunch if needed. There's so many offerings here and I can't wait to come back for their teriyaki combos or even some of their breakfast menu options, which are served only till 10:30am every day. This place was ok for me. I get why the ratings is so high due to the location of this deli being in an industrial area where there is lots of car and foot traffic. Large menu for this deli. They also have ready made to-go items that you can pick from the shelf ( Teriyaki bowls, musubi, bahn mi, etc.) I grabbed a musubi at $5.50 for one. It needed more sauce and the rice was a bit mushy. I ordered the loco moco that had two bed parties and 2 over easy eggs on top of white rice and finished with brown gravy. The savory taste was not all there and it needed some salt and pepper on the patties. I would give it a 2.5/5. Overall, if you're looking for a quick stop, this is good for you. I highly recommend this place. The owner is the sweetest lady you'll ever meet. I used to come here all the time for my Lunch breaks or even if I needed a snack or a drink this was my stop. Being a truck driver I relocated to a different area now I'm back in the area and after 3 years I walked in for the first time and She still remembered me. Made me feel welcomed as she does all her customers. The food menu is great can't go wrong in whatever you order. Food here is always good and there are a lot of options. I like to get the country fried steak w rice when I'm in the area during breakfast time. Cindy is from HI and she makes the place remind me of home back in the days with her welcoming spirit, katsu plate lunch & spam musubis. I'm so glad that a co-worker introduced me to this place! It is nice knowing that there is another good value lunch option in a neighborhood! It was recommended that I try their burgers and I found the cheeseburger quite tasty! They do offer Asian items like teriyaki and soup noodle bowls, so I will have to pay them a number of visits in the future. Lunch time is pretty busy here, but waiting for your order is fairly short. If time is an issue, calling in your order for pick up is a really good option. Thankfully, my co-worker gave me a copy of their menu! What's great about this location is their parking lot. Parking can be problem in Georgetown, so it's great that they have plenty of parking. read more

Not your typical teriyaki restaurant but I would argue better than most teriyaki joints in the area. Chicken is cooked fresh and not chewy like other places. My favorite is Chicken Katsu but you can not go wrong with anything on the menu. Owner is super friendly! read more

Two things you need to know right out about this place: 1) Is it in a sketch location? Yes. 2) Does it look like a store you would see in a gang banger, Boyz n the Hood type movie? Definitely. Those two things out of the way, this place has some of the best teriyaki and chicken stir fry I've ever had. Their gyoza's and eggrolls are equally as delectable. I've also had their cheeseburger and fries (I know how American :) which is just as good. Prices are about right, same as other restaurants and their portion sizes are just right. You can call in your order and take it to go, but even if you decide to dine in the service is really fast. There is seating, but not much and it does tend to get crowded around the lunch hour. I met with my girlfriend here for her lunch break on her suggestion that this place is great. I arrived about 20 minutes early and the lady was nice enough to let me hang out here until it got a little closer for the time to order the food. When I ordered the food, it came out within just a few minutes and while I waited or my girlfriend, the lady put some plastic wrap over our food to keep in the heat. Bonus points! I had the beef and chicken teriyaki to eat. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were more than adequate. When I saw all 5 star reviews for this place I knew I had to post a review. This run down deli has the highest prices in georgetown! You want a $10 BLT, you've come to the right place for it! When all delis and gas stations are selling energy drinks for 2 for $2.50, this place will sell you a single bottle of the same beverage for $2.50. If you go down the aisles and browse their items you'll find that 85% of them don't have a price tag - that's because they've been marked up 300%, go ahead and pick up a $2 pack of peanuts with no price tag, bring it to the counter and they'll ring it up at $5-$7. This place is deceiving from the outside because it looks like a run of the mill convince store. However, inside of here there is a little takeout lunch place. I didn't realize how much I miss this place until i stopped working in the area! My favorite was the Chicken Katsu / Teriyaki Beef combo. They have a variety of teriyaki dishes and also some hamburgers and sandwiches. Their french fries are REALLY GOOD!! Also, if you ever see the philly cheesesteak on the specials menu order that -- it's awesome :D. The service here is always friendly and you can call ahead and place an order to pickup quickly.
