Checked out this spot recently and overall had a pretty solid experience. The place itself had a nice vibe--clean, welcoming, and well put together. The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. Service was quick too--I didn't have to wait long at all before the food came out, which is always a plus. As for the food, it was definitely good. You can tell they put care into the flavors and presentation. That said, it didn't quite hit the same way as the dishes I'm used to back home--maybe missing that extra something I'm used to. But for what it was, it held up pretty well and I'd still recommend giving it a try if you're in the area. read more

We tried a variety of food. I really enjoyed their Huli Huli chicken! Our favorite I would say. We also had the carne asada strips, which were a bit too dry for me personally. The Kalua pig was a bit too runny/soup like. I was a big fan of the vegetable lo mein. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and not over cooked like many other places I've tried. One thing I would have liked to try is the taconadas but unfortunately they didn't have any available. I would recommend trying it! read more

Guys. If you've never heard of or had a Taconada before, y'all gotta check this place out! Think of yummy tacos with the fillings you like, but on an empanada base instead of a tortilla! My friend and I were driving to Uwajimaya and noticed an interesting food truck in a nearby parking lot. "Pacific Islander Mexican Fusion" Really caught my eye and I told my friend, we GOTTA check it out. Carne Asadas Taconada- Mulitas style! An Empanada bun to complete the taconada with fresh avocado slices Worth the $1 add-on. Highly recommend! Cronch factor: Satisfactory. Flavor profile: ON POINT! I've had a few yummy Carne Asadas dishes since moving to Washington a few years ago, and honestly-- the savory grilled flavor that I know from what I've had back in Las Vegas and Cali? They've nailed it! The special sauces that are available and provided definitely taste home-made and are Muchos Delisioso. My friend got the Ray's Roast Pork Taconada! Very tasty flavor profile! I recommend this Taconada as well The Horchata was good. Light flavor that has a pleasant taste, with notes of spices I can't identify (I don't know my spices well I'm sorry lmao) If you need a drink to pair with the food, definitely pick one of these up. And for the grand finale, the dessert! Turon with Caramel Icecream add-on. I'm Filipino, so I got excited when I saw this was an item on their menu! It's basically a crispy deep-fried banana spring roll with a nice caramelized flavor. Highly recommend! It is so very satisfying having it with the caramel icecream! I'm not sure if the Friendly Gentleman who served me was the owner, but the service was great! He even gave me a super cool shirt with their logo on it! Happy I stumbled upon this little food truck outside of the red lion in Renton! It is exciting to see someone offering Chamorro cuisine in the area and the Mexican fusion is a great touch. This place has been on my radar for a while but only recently got the chance to make it over and give them a try. I am so glad I did! We tried their fiesta plate, empanadas, and a couple of taconados. The fiesta plate was a great serving size and a perfect introduction to Chamorro food if you have never had it before. The empanadas were yummy too. However, for me the taconados were the star of the meal. I loved the way they used the titiyas as the tortilla and how crispy it came out. Definitely my new favorite way of eating a staple Chamorro food. The spam kelaguen was cool but the one I will be come back for is definitely the pot roast. Great service, over the top food, nothing but pure delight when I order from here. Last time I had the bbq rib plate & Rosalyn was so pleasant to encounter. She provided great service & was so much fun to talk to! My fiancé has had the poke cone roll which he loves. I've had the empanadas and chicken kelaguin & makes my mouth water every time. I got give a shout to Mas Pika the food is the closest to Chamorro food I've had in Wa. Will definitely be returning to try the rest of the menu. They say Pacific lander and Mexican fusion and it works so well. Not all pacific land food are the same, Hawaiian food is not Chamorro food but also have many of the same dishes. We had the garlic chicken, shoyu chicken and fiesta plate with brisket and pork belly, empanadas, katsu spam and Portuguese sausage musubis. It took a minute to get our food so I feel that everything is made to order. The Mac salad was really tasty and a bit more creamy than I like but it was still good. The dining area is small, but well maintained/clean. The lady who took our order was very friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcomed. I think it really just adds to the experience of dining out on top of the really yummy food. The dipping sauces went really well with the food, only thing I wish was that they gave you more rice. One scoop of rice just doesn't cut it for us . I'd definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for some Hawaiian and Chamorro cuisine. read more

I'm always searching for new places and new foods to try. Más Pika does not disappoint! They are a unique fusion of Chamorro and Mexican food. I bet you've never had that! I was amazed and everytime I go I always think of when I'm going back. I recommend the Fiesta Plate which was so well rounded with the bbq short ribs, pickled veggies, mac salad and chicken and red rice. You get a really good deal for quality food and every week that plate can change! You can take your food to the patio at the Yankee Grill which is closed for business. BUT after a certain time; usually 2, Màs Pika opens the bar of Yankee Grill and you can dine in and have a drink too! Everyone at Màs Pika is so friendly and they go above and beyond for their customers. I will definitely be going again and again! read more

Went to check out their food truck today. I ordered 2 taconada's one chicken kelaguen and one of Rays pot roast . Also ordered empanada . They were all delicious. The tacos were made from the empanada dough used as the tatiyas for the tacos super smart thinking and different also very tasty imo. My wife and I was at the stop light at Grady Way and Rainier Ave when my wife noticed and food truck at the Yankee diner restaurant in Renton. So we made a slight detour from our original plan of another restaurant. As we drove up they had a speaker close by playing some nice island music! Really cool! As I walked up to the window to look at my menu I instantly saw Spam on the menu! Oh yah! So on the menu you have Rice Bowls! Choice of Poke, Spam, Bulgogi, Chicken Kelaguen and Huli Huli Chicken. I had the chicken Kelaguen and tasted good. I also had the Bulgogi. Thought it would be bigger pieces but the Bulgogi is chopped like the chicken Kelaguen. When it's prepared like that it looses its texture and a bit of flavor! Next on my list would be the HuliHuli chicken and/or Spam Rice Bowl. We also tried their Empanadas! Reminded me the ones back home in Guam and/or we've made at home! Mmmmm! The second time I was there though I ordered 4 Empanadas but when I got home I only saw 2 in the bag! I was 2 short! I called the number on my receipt and told the lady in the phone and she was about it! So hopefully the next time they won't forget my Empanadas! We had an excellent meal from Mas Pika this evening. Here's what we had: - Mas Pika Burger - nice and juicy. The egg yolk was still runny. My husband says he prefers it a little more cooked through, but it still tasted great! This burger has kimchi on it, so look forward to that! Husband says if we go there again, he will probably order it again. - Bulgogi rice bowl - this was mine, and it was absolutely delicious! I would probably reorder this again next time, too! Meat was nice and flavorful, and the kimchi and vegetables also had a nice pop! Mixed up all together...yum! - Carne Asada Taconada - My 4 year old enjoyed this, and we tried some of it, too. Very tasty. - Spam Taconada - some kind of spicy condiment was added to this one, and the 4 year old didn' care for it. The spice level wasnt off the charts, but it was there. If you like a little zing to your dinner, this would still be worth getting in my opinion. Overall, we were very happy with our food. This has quickly become one of our favorite places. Mas Pika has the best lumpia in the area. I don't often eat burgers, but their Mas Pika burger is so good that I always need get one when I eat from there. We also really like the Fiesta Plate and Taconadas. Hey Yankee Grill! On Labor day weekend, I ordered food in the restaurant, I waited one hour for my food. And the worst of it I didn't receive my food or some type of compensation because I waited so long. I was pretty upset, that I didn't return for two weeks.
