We go to this location every few weeks it seems They are always friendly and polite and quick The boxes that we get for to go are always full of our rice and tons of chicken. June 12 at 430pm I went to pick up my order and the cashier had her down and went to grab someone's plate of food. When she went down to grab napkins her hair was in the salad and her ends of hair was covered in dressing. When I told her she gave me attitude. When I asked her to replace the salad she said "well no one else saw it" and gave me attitude. Then I said that was gross and she then had the chefs replace it. I told the person order it was so they were aware. The fact that you didn't want to replace someone's food after your hair was in it is disgusting let alone your bitchy attitude. I went with a simple chicken teriyaki with egg rolls, rice, and a side salad. the egg rolls were nice and crispy and maintained the crisp while I drove home. the chicken wasn't super saucey and was nice and juicy. the rice was fresh and fluffy and the side salad had the dressing separate so I didn't have to have it. I have patronized this restaurant for at least 10 years. Today I was greeted with such hostility by the owners I was shocked. It seemed very personal and I cannot imagine why. I am a middle aged woman, I look normal and I was dressed professionally. I did ask about MSG - very politely. They were downright rude. I think they were the owners. I wish I had walked out. The eggflower soup had 1/2 Cup of large slimy red onion slices. I picked them out, yuk. The chicken teriyaki was average, not bad, not memorable. This is my new "go to" teriyaki restaurant!! I did order this through Uber Eats, and I didn't expect it to arrive hot..... But it did!! I mean, it was well over a 10 mile delivery drive, and it was like the meals came right off the stove! I ordered a Teriyaki Chicken/Sweet and Sour Chicken combo. The teriyaki chicken was so so good. The chicken was moist, and the sauce was just perfectly sweet, and not too thick. The rice also was perfect, like eating a soft cloud. The rice texture was sticky and perfectly cooked. I ordered a combo with Sweet and Sour Chicken. The sweet and sour sauce was so good! It is one of the better sauces I have tried, and trust me, I have tried alot. The chicken they use also was perfectly sized and perfectly fried. From a 1 to a 10, I give the meal a solid 9! My wife ordered a Chicken Teriyaki/California Roll, and Prawn Tempura combo. Needless to say, I didn't even get a chance to taste it. She ate the whole thing! She told me it was the best she has had out of all the Teriyaki joints we have tried. I also must say, the presentation of her combo looked amazing. The sushi was nicely rolled and very moist. She wasn't expecting the sushi from a Teriyaki place to be so good, but it was!!! If I could give it 0 stars I would - the older lady taking orders is racist, very unprofessional and damn near assaulted me. The Russian cook in the back isn't much better although he "TRIED" to help. I placed a phone order, very simple Chicken Teriyaki and Egg Roll combo - no salad extra rice - extra teriyaki on side... When I got my food, my chicken was old, cold and dry and didnt have ANY sauce on it whatsoever... I had salad with only one scopp of rice although its 2 scoops with salad... I walked in and the older woman immediatley started counting out my refund. I said I wasnt looking for refund, just for my food to be prepared properly. With other customers in the lobby, she began YELLING at me, stating "I DONT SERVE YOU PEOPLE..." I calmly asked why she was yelling and that I order with them pretty often for her to make such statement. Instead of allowing me to speak and show her the order, she continued yelling over me. Soon the cook came from the back to see what the issue was, he looked at me and asked directly about the issue, as I began telling him, she kept YELLING over me, over and over again to the point the cook told her to "SHUT THE F*** UP AND LET HER SPEAK..." I then again just try to SHOW him my order and opened the box for him to see the dry, cold, burnt chicken - he went and got COLD teriyaki sauce and DOUSED it, so much sauce Im surprised the chicken didnt start floating, again the woman is YELLING and starts approaching me - He strong arms her, stopping her in her tracks and said "WTF IS YOUR PROBLEM - BACK AWAY FROM HER AND BE QUIET" - the lady responded to him saying something about "THE BLACK GIRL..." - I then looked at her and asked if it were an issue that Im African American and that Ive ordered here plenty of times... She responded with "YOU PEOPLE ALWAYS WANT TO MAKE PROBLEMS..." At that point I was over it and officially asked for my money back - she snatches the money from the register and THROWS IT ACROSS THE COUNTER. I bend down to get my money off the floor - she then pushes the order toward me across the counter, the food falls off and all that teriyaki sauce splashed on my shoes/pants and somehow even the sleeve of my sweater - of course being pissed off, I picked up the box and what was remaining and slid it back over toward her - she then threatened to call the police, I asked her to do so. The one other customer finally spoke up saying "You'll be calling the police on yourself as I just watched you assault this customer..." - I ended up having to go back to work with dirty clothes, leave home so i could change and then return to work - which is literally across the street.... I WILL NEVER GIVE THIS PLACE ONE CENT OF MINE EVER AGAIN... Theres one review that said "I dont want to play the race card..." as we as minorities really dont - but THIS was very clear cut and racist - I should have called the police and taken pics of my clothing... i dont know what her issue was that day, but she went WAY TOO FAR in handling a customer complaint... read more
