This is our go-to teriyaki in the Covington area. We love their General Tso chicken. It's sweet and spicy without being too hot. The chicken has always been good quality. Owners or cooks have seems to change and the rice seems to have a powder taste to it now and the teriyaki sauce seems more watered down and not as thick, + the Yakisoba noodles them self's stick together and become a single clump of noodles. First time trying this place and I wasn't disappointed. Located in Covington very close to the Fred Meyer store. Ample parking. I placed my order online and it was promptly confirmed. I showed up within five minutes of the time I was told it would be ready and there it was. I ordered the house special yakisoba. It was delicious. Best Teriyaki in the area. The chicken is fresh and plentiful. The teriyaki sauce is made fresh and tastes just right. The spicy sauce is pretty hot so if you are super sensitive, avoid. I've been craving sweet & sour chicken with fried rice and this was a good spot to enjoy a lunch with my family. I hadn't been here for quite a while. The owner greeted us right away and help us get a couple of tables together. She was very friendly and attentive, brought us the menus and water as we waited for a couple of people to show. She helped other customers that arrived and a few ordered out. We placed our order and got our food at a great time. Everything was as we ordered, it was delicious. Let me start out I prefer teriyaki wok over Covington Teriyaki. For many reasons that I listed in the Covington teriyaki review. Rice quality is definitely better and you can taste it. You're not overwhelmed by the rice either. I think is about the right amount and I don't feel I'm swimming in the sea of rice. Sauce portions on their teriyaki is definitely comparable. It's a nice proportion and it's defiantly that I do not have to by 3 dollars of side sauce from them. Maybe every once in a while I might have to get one but still it's better that 3 dollars wasted on tiny containers that could of got be a 8oz or more bottle of something better. I like that their salad is packed separately and that it's never came soggy. Wait time is really fast which is a-little concerning but definitely worth going across the street for. read more

Food and staff are great. We get the normal things chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu both fresh and delicious. I think really the only downfall of the place is the location. Which is definitely not the business owners fault. At any time on the outside you will be approached by a transient person asking for money or something. And sometimes they can be quite persistent. I just came here for the first time. I asked for the lunch Mongolian beef. I went to pick it up and was charged $17. I don't think the container weighs more than 10 ounces. I opened it up and it was about $.50 worth of food, I don't know how they're going to stay in business. I definitely won't be back. I mean after all, it's rice and low quality meat stirfried. I was craving udon soup so badly. Not many places serve it but I found it on the menu here so I thought I'd give it a try. It was ready in 10 minutes and when I came in to grab it, the cashier was incredibly nice and friendly. I am so happy I tried this place because I want to go back and try the rest of their dishes! My soup was amazing and very flavorful. Also it was a pretty big serving size so I am happy with that. Overall, great service and great food. We just love this place! Small and friendly, fast service and very convenient from our house. My wife's grandfather owned a Japanese restaurant in Walla Walla. She says the food is prepared and tastes like her Mom use to cook. The potions of teriyaki chicken breast are huge. First time here. Wanted teriyaki and went across the street to covington teriyaki because of the higher reviews. When i went to order he asked if i had called it in. I so no, he looked at me like i was crazy and said if you did not call it in it will be 40 minutes! For one plate of chicken. He acted like i was privileged just to best eating there. The staff was friendly but charged me the dinner price for my lunch, at 2pm. I had to correct her. Of the 8 options on the soda machine, 4 are out order, and 1 is water. The water is nasty. I ordered the teriyaki beef. Like the other comments, it's salty. The beef came out luke warm, my rice is cold. Surprisingly, there is a steady flow of customers.
