Dropped by this restaurant a couple of times to buy some food and drinks while selling flowers for Mother's Day weekend. First time, got some Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken Tenders with Fries and a couple of drinks. Second time, we got an order of General Tso's Chicken - Very Spicy, Chicken Teriyakj, an order of Fries with Honey Mustard, and a couple of soda pop drinks. Really enjoyed the service received from this restaurant business. The staff are always really friendly and helpful. Timing of the food entrees and quality are spot on. We like the food and portion sizes at this establishment. They have reasonable prices for all of the menu items! Definitely like to support small business owners. read more

We will be back. A family friend has been mentioning about this location for a while now and it lived up to the hype. For 22 dollars we got these two juicy burgers! At first the katsu burger looked messy with the mayo, which made the crunchiness to be wanted. That said, it was really frickin good. If it had iceberg lettuce and less sauce we think it would be a solid 10. For the bacon burger, this had a lot of flavors that were simple and great. Service was quick, waited around 5 minutes for the burgers to come out. It's a smaller shop with 4 tables, so seating might be limited during rush hours. Highly recommend it for an affordable meal with lots of options! And if you're a burger lover, this place will not disappoint! read more

The quality of this place has gone down so much. I'm unsure if management has changed, but the food is just not like how it used to be. The chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki especially were disappointing the taste and overall quality just aren't the same anymore. The place could also definitely use a face lift very run down inside. The location is very convenient, and the drive-through is a plus, but sadly the food doesn't match what it once was. Really disappointing to see the decline. read more

The village inn is a perfect place to eat if your family can't agree on what they want to eat. They have traditional American diner food and a large variety of asian food too! I meet the new owner Anna when we came to try this place out. She is the sweetest human ever! Her customer service is top notch. The interior takes you back in time! It is preserved so perfectly. They had clean high chairs for my little one to sit in, Anna brought it over to our table for us. The food in DELICIOUS! I got the seasonal pin-a colada milkshake with the Philly cheesesteak. They do not skimp on the meat. My husband got a burger and fries, with an Oreo shake. It was also incredible! Anna also has this amazing program where you can buy someone's food for them. They place the items people have bought by the cash register and if you can't afford to eat you have a variety of things to choose from. This is an updated review since the new owners took over. My family was pleased with what they ordered but I got the Philly Cheesesteak and it was dry. The previous owners toasted the bun and made sure the steak was juicy. I got a dry sandwich with a crappy hoagie roll and the cheese was shredded and not melted on top. This place has had nothing but negative service. I went a few months back hoping to try it again and got the rudest service in the drive thru. I was having a really bad day and there intercom wasn't working (everything is run down) and the two girls were rolling their eyes and being rude at the window. I love coming to this local restaurant. There are only 5 booths and the take out and drive thru do a brisk business. I get the burger basket combo 2 meal which is a large cheeseburger on a real sesame bun with a large basket of crinkle cut fries and a medium soft drink for $11.99. A great deal these days but mainly because the food tastes wonderful! The service is friendly and efficient. Hands down a great burger and a good place to eat. read more

Ever since the new owners it's remained solid and much cleaner inside. Customer service is above average. On friday we had drive thru Beef teriyaki and ranch basket. We used to go to this spot almost every time in maple valley. It seems they have changed ownership and it is unfortunate because the food now smaller portioned and not as good. Covid happened... heard that a new owner took over and recently I decided to test the waters again. The dining area is still vintage 70s, a bit small but clean. All booths, so for those of us "fluffy" people, it's a bit cramped. To be honest, I think this place would be great for a standup counter or pedestal stools along the big wall of windows. There was light traffic when I was there, about 3 cars in the drive thru. So, I decided to walk-in. Went right up to the counter where I met the new owner when she took my order. Very pleasant with a great smile. She'd mostly just revamped the kitchen, seem less cramped than before. She also added new menu boards; unfortunately I didn't take pictures, (the ones up already are old) it's a nice clean look with modern lighting and colors. Easy to read. The food was slower than a McDs, as expected since nothing appears to be pre-cooked. Still fast enough for a drive thru. Order was all there, McDs has taught me well. I had a Big Cheese Burger with everything on it and extra onions and a side order of Onion Rings. (eating alone) Similar size to the old menu and the onion rings were nice and thick, classic diner food. Burger was cooked nicely, not over, not under and all the fix'ns seemed fresh and had a great dipping sauce in a separate container. Was very happy! Everyone's suffering from inflation and I'm afraid it's no different here. Most meals will set you back about $15-25 dollars. Portions seem generous though if you're willing to share. The menu is larger than the one listed on Yelp. More of the Asian foods, shakes and seafood. Why not 5 stars? It tasted like the deep frier was shared with seafood cooking. Taste wasn't too strong but I had to wait to see if it triggered my seafood allergy... all good! Clearly it didn't stop me from eating them, but that's my problem. Would start off with agreeing with another reviewer that the person at the counter was very "tepid" she wasn't rude but didn't seem very enthusiastic about her job. We got pork teriyaki,bacon cheese 1/4lb 2 kids meals corn dog,chicken nuggets,chocolate/strawberry shake, a coke & a 16oz butterscotch shake came out to with tip $68 (cringe) Bidens America. The food was okay nothing too outstanding to be worth over $50 just being honest. I did like it because of the many options. We ate inside there was no one else in there seems to be updated a little could be deep cleaned a little bit.I'd maybe try again probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat again though. We have lived here locally for 30 plus years and have enjoyed the food at Village Inn, until recently. New owner always means change. Tonight, my son went in to order our food, no one at the cash register, one person who looked very unhappy with her job, looked up at him, didn't acknowledge him and continued to sweep the entire floor, and when she was done went back to the cash register to reluctantly take his order. Philly cheesesteak beef was marinated in Worcestershire sauce, the addition of jalapenos and mushrooms made for a really good sandwich. Fries were crispy but could use some salt, however, the sauce that came with the fries worked really well. I recommend this place, not only is the food good but the staff is amazing. read more

This place has turned into a dumpster fire. Lazy employees who can't even take the time to properly blend the shakes. There is consistently a clump of ice cream at the bottom of the shake. A real shame they fell off yet they are the only classic burger joint in town so I have no choice when my wife wants a chocolate shake. read more

Great little place. First time trying the Village Inn and it did not disappoint. Delicious classic double patty ranch burger with freshly fried crinkle cut fries, fry sauce and a chocolate malt. I really wanted to like this place. It's close by, locally owned, but wow they consistently get my son's order wrong and its always a hassle. As a mom I usually go through the drive through when its a tough night... right. My son is a picky eater and just doesn't want cheese on his burger... thats all. About 99% of the time they put it on when I ask over and over not to. Then I just waste the $8 for the kids meal. They don't have juice at all so I don't get a drink for him. I have come back to get it right and the whole thing is like a 45min inconvenience. I have tried a number of different items on the menu, all chicken items. Everyone the chicken is rubbery and some weird chuck is spit out. Some how a meal for myself and my 6 year old comes out to $22 as well. I am finally saying no more. If you haven't been here recently, you need to try it again. I came here a couple years ago and the place seemed dirty and dingy and I was not fully satisfied with my meal. Came here today for the second time ever and it was very clean and had a new video menu screen etc. I asked the person at the counter if there was new owners. She smiled and said yes, it's me. I said well, this place looks a heck of a lot better than it used to. She explained that she's been working very hard to clean the place up and keep the classic look. I ordered my food and sat down. It was absolutely delicious. If you came here before and you weren't satisfied with the food or the cleanliness, you need to come give it another try. I'll be back if I'm ever in the area again.
