FISH TACOS
Ray V.

Not my first time here but my first review. Been here several times for some burgers and Lemon Drops, but this was my first time here with my wife! We recently moved nearby in Maple Valley, and just wanted to grab a bite and drink, and thought none other than Hops. I've had plenty of burgers here but never any tacos. So I ordered the Fish Tacos, which came with Alaskan tempura cod, with cheeses and Chipotle salsa, flour tortillas, and some chips. Of course, we ordered the unique Lemon Drops, complete with their own ice cups. The taste was so divine. My wife ordered he Deluxe Burger w/ Fries, and man that beef patty was juicy and thick. We had great conversations, friendly service (our server was quite the comedian), and overall a relaxing environment for the evening. Thank you for a great experience and as usual, Enjoy & Happy Hopping and hopefully not Dropping!!

Enjoyed a Lemon drop in a neat frozen ice cone! We also tried the Thai Sriracha shrimp and queso dip on the Happy Hour menu. Both were delicious and we cleaned our plates. The dip looks like it had a bit of bean dip on top of the queso. Homemade chips tasted a bit stale but didn't bother me too much.

FRENCH DIP and SIDE GARLIC FRIES

Visited a friend this weekend and she took us here for food. Great burgers, service, and atmosphere. Some food items could use improvement but overall good experience. My boyfriend and I ordered the mozzarella sticks as an app; for our mains, mushroom burger, french dip, side of mac and cheese and side of garlic fries. Mozzarella sticks were huge and perfectly crisp. Couldn't tell if they were frozen or homemade. Mushroom burger was a 10/10, super tender, flavorful, and portion size was nice. My boyfriend enjoyed his french dip, and his side of garlic fries were addicting! Best garlic fries I've ever had. Now with the mac and cheese, however, was really disappointing, mainly tasted like penne tossed in butter with melted grated cheddar cheese. It was boring and the texture sucked. We almost ordered a full size of one of their macs at the beginning but yeah no this was not it. We didn't get to try any of their brews since we were so full, but there's a great selection including a full bar. Overall would recommend, I'm still thinking about how good that burger was... The mac definitely needs a revamp though.

Nice family friendly restaurant. Good amount of parking in front. Wait to be seated. Add your name to the waitlist through their website. Menus are available on the website as is ordering for pick up or delivery. We were a group of four adults and brought to a large booth in their pleasant dining area. There was plenty of room for our party with room to spare. Definitely would fit a fair sized family in one of these high back booths. The dining room is clean and the staff pleasant. Besides the hostess we interacted with our waiter, food and beverage runners. Everyone was pleasant, efficient and helpful. Staff stopped by a few times to be sure we had all we needed during our visit. The menu includes bar type comfort foods: Patty melt, grilled cheese, burgers, sandwiches, tacos and salads. Adult beverage suggestions to pair with your food choice are listed along side some of the menu items. Besides a full bar, they offer beer on tap and wines plus flavored lemonades and iced teas. Food quality was good, everything prepared as ordered and tasty. We all enjoyed our meals.

Repeat visitor. The Hops n Drops chicken sandwich is so delicious . Any chance I'm in the area I stop for lunch. Please please please, if the owners read these reviews, put a Hops n Drops in the Bothell or Millcreek area. Anyway, delicious food and great beer, thanks

Ordered via Ubereats to have breakfast in bed. Couldn't check in on Yelp because we are too far away. Oh well. Uber driver arrived sooner than expected. Food was warm, but toast and crispy hash browns were soggy. But for the most part everything was pretty tasty. I noticed the receipt to restaurant sent us vs. Ubereats. Although I have uber one, I was charged almost 20.00 for tax and fees, plus .49 delivery fee. Not sure why because this restaurant is only 15 mins away from my house. The one complaint my husband has was the sausage patty over powered the taste of the gravy. Other than that everything was good. I went to the place a couple months ago but forget to write a review. I gave only three stars then. We were with a group of women for a night out. I don't remember why only three stars. But for this order I gave them more.

Tony's BBQ Mac

No lack of courtesy and smiles here at Hops n Drops- gentleman at the door opened with a welcoming and again when we left. Waitstaff were happy with smiles and suggestions for us. Lindsey knew her menu and was a pleasure to have as our waitress. We started off with drinks, the raspberry cooler is served in a cool little ice cup, no skimping on alcohol and was yummy. I had the Tony's BBQ Mac that was full of pulled pork and cheese. I liked the add on of pita to scoop with. We indulged and had donuts for dessert, small cinnamon sugar covered goodness that may only be over the top if they added some caramel sauce for dipping. Hops n Drops is a nice place to relax and enjoy a nice meal, TV's and good music.

Happy hour street tacos were ok. There was nothing special about them and the small amount beef. Favor was ok. Tater tots and fries were better. Service was good, he was friendly.

Haven't been for a while. Stopped in tonight. The menu has changed since the last visit. The food is still very good. Really good burgers. I am rather sad the onion rings disappeared from the menu. Staff was helpful and friendly.

My dad and I were out and about taking care of errands, we decided to stop for lunch at Hops n Drops. Even though there was plenty of seating dining area, we chose to seat in the lounge area of the restaurant. We were greeted by our server, Jena. She is very nice, when she found out it was our first time, she brought us out as small plate of their house made chips to try. Those chips are so good! We started with a Dr. Pepper and an Ice Lemon Drop cocktail. The cup of the Lemon Drop is made of ice. Pretty cool. My dad and I shared the hamburger for two. The burger was juicy and fully loaded with all the yummy trimmings. It was served with fries. We enjoyed our lunch. We recommend giving Hops n Drops a try. If you are lucky, you might get Jena for your server.

Funny thing is, Maple Valley has become semi affluent over the past decade, and I never would have expected this to be the attitude, but I assure you, I stood out like a bruised thumb here. Service was really slow and for a while, I thought I was being ignored. The only person I saw working walked by me about 3-4 times before saying a word and asking me what I was drinking. I had already seen what I assumed was the menu on Yelp via photos, and short or a very small price increase from 2022, it was spot on. I ordered my food and it was prepared fairly quick, the cook slapped the bell, and the server grabbed it in about a minute, but my meal was barely warm., I had a burger dip and the burger and au jus were both room temp. The fries were golden, but also room temp and not crisp. It was disappointing, because you could tell the food was better than you would expect, but nothing it great at room temp. My drink went unfilled, and it was at least 15 minutes after I finished eating that I was handed the check. The server was so busy being social with regulars, I didn't get the attention I needed. For me, a meal is 30-40 from entry to exit, I was here almost 90 minutes to give you an idea of how slow the service was, It wasn't busy, the server was just not doing her job and the longer I sat, the less welcome I felt. Honestly, I've had warmer reception in Enumclaw and that is a city notorious for refusing diversity. Whoever owns this place needs to be more involved and if you invested some money into updating the décor and focusing on a better atmosphere, you could attract a crowd, as of now, you get 2 stars despite what I see as 4-star potential.

The copper-lined walls create acoustics that would make Carnegie Hall jealous, though the low ceiling means Esteban occasionally bonks his head on the exposed pipes during his more passionate flamenco flourishes. The Ricker (whoever he is) has transformed his laundry room into what he calls the "Tapas Nook," where you can enjoy microwaved pizza rolls served on genuine copper plates allegedly salvaged from an abandoned penny factory. The house specialty drink, "The Basement Flood of '97," is surprisingly refreshing despite its concerning name. While waiting for Esteban's nightly performance of "Classical Gas," you can admire The Ricker's extensive collection of HSN-exclusive guitar memorabilia and slightly water-damaged Persian rugs. The establishment's dress code strictly enforces wearing sunglasses indoors, presumably to avoid making eye contact with The Ricker, who watches intensely from his "throne" (a repurposed lawn chair) in the corner. Parking is wherever you can find it on The Ricker's lawn, though be careful not to block his mother's Pontiac Grand Am--she lives upstairs and doesn't know about any of this. 1/2 (Deducted half a star because The Ricker keeps insisting everyone call him "El Rickador" and won't explain why) Dress Code: Sunglasses mandatory, shoes optional (it's a basement) Price: $$$ (accepts cash, card, and apparently guitar picks signed by Esteban) Reservations: Just knock three times and whisper "copper dreams"

This establishment doesn't just serve drinks--they serve EXPERIENCES, specifically soundtracked by an endless loop of Smash Mouth, Avril Lavigne, and *NSYNC that would make Carson Daly weep tears of frosted-tipped joy. The bartenders here don't just pour drinks--they're like spiritual guides through the realm of grain alcohol enlightenment. They've got stuff so potent it could strip paint off a submarine, and they serve it with the kind of confidence usually reserved for bomb disposal experts. Their signature drink, "The Y2K Bug," comes with a mandatory signing of medical release forms and a brief consultation with your next of kin. But let's talk about their commitment to the early 2000s pop music scene. The jukebox exists in a temporal loop where it's perpetually 2003. "All Star" plays every 47 minutes with the precision of an atomic clock. I once witnessed a group of investment bankers completely lose it during "Bye Bye Bye," performing the original choreography with such passion that Justin Timberlake probably felt a disturbance in the force. The weekly karaoke nights are the stuff of local legend. Every Thursday, the entire bar transforms into what I can only describe as "American Idol meets Thunder Dome." Last week, someone performed Britney's "Oops!... I Did It Again" while dressed as a fully-operational vending machine. The crowd went so wild they had to replace three load-bearing walls the next day. The regulars here have developed their own bizarre ecosystem. There's a group that shows up every Tuesday wearing matching bedazzled jumpsuits, and nobody questions it. The staff has started timing their drink service to the exact moment Christina Aguilera hits the high note in "Beautiful." Five stars. Would absolutely risk permanent hearing damage from singing along to "Who Let The Dogs Out" for the 47th time while sipping something that could probably power a jet engine. Just remember to bring your flame-retardant crop top and your signed liability waiver. P.S. The bathroom graffiti is exclusively written in boy band lyrics. It's basically a museum at this point.

Like a match dropped in a pool of premium unleaded, the lawnmower customization scene EXPLODED. Now the back parking lot looks like Fast & Furious meets Home Depot. You've got flame-painted John Deeres doing wheelies between tables, and chrome-plated Husqvarnas sporting underglow LEDs that would make Xzibit weep tears of joy. Every Thursday night, the sound of modified 6.5 HP engines drowns out the jukebox as the "Mow Money, Mow Problems" crew shows off their latest grass-cutting masterpieces. Last week, someone installed a turbocharger on a push mower--sure, it only cuts three blades of grass before launching into low orbit, but that's the kind of innovation that makes America great. The Red Dog Saloon didn't just create a restaurant; they birthed a movement. Now you can't scroll through TikTok without seeing some influencer's "Lawn & Order: Special Mowing Unit" build going viral. And it all started because the staff here believes in encouraging their customers' most questionable hobbies with unbridled enthusiasm. Five stars. Would let them transform my riding mower into a grass-destroying dragon again.
