My order: #2 3 eggs & bacon Ordered sourdough toast (Scrambled eggs are from my son's order)
    Abby S.

My kids and I were really hungry this afternoon and had a craving for pancakes. We tried to find a reliable breakfast spot, but given the time of day, our options were limited. I saw that Nikki's was open and advertised breakfast all day, so we decided to give it a try. I ordered the #2 combo, which included three eggs, bacon, and sourdough toast. I specifically asked for my hashbrowns to be crispy and my eggs over medium. My oldest son ordered what I believe was Nikki's Special from the kids' menu. I didn't get a photo of his meal, but I know he never received the toast that was supposed to come with it. He also didn't finish his orange juice because he said it tasted off, which is unusual for him. My youngest ordered pancakes, bacon, and eggs from the kids' menu. We were trying to keep things affordable since I knew he wouldn't eat the eggs. The waitress mentioned that this was likely the best option anyway, since ordering bacon by itself was $9. About 10 minutes after placing our order, a man in a white shirt and jeans came to our table. At first, I didn't know who he was or why he was talking to us. My kids were both under the weather and we had a doctor's appointment after the meal, so when he asked how we were doing and noticed my son coughing, I briefly wondered if he was a local doctor. It turned out he was with the restaurant and was asking about our drink order. Either he or the waitress brought our drinks a few moments later. Unfortunately, the meal was disappointing. The food was overpriced, and the quality didn't match the cost. My hashbrowns weren't crispy, and the overall flavor and experience reminded me of a below-average chain like IHOP or Howard Johnson's. I won't be returning. The high prices didn't match the quality of the food, and while I can't be certain, I ended up with an upset stomach later in the day that makes me wonder if the food may have been the cause.

We decided to give this place a second chance. Service 4/5 our server was janetha. She was very very friendly! Very personable. My only slight complaint was that we'd asked for something and it took a second request to get it. Not a deal breaker tho. Food... Dijon steak. 4/5. I mean this place isn't John howie...but my husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak and the pasta. He ate the whole steak but was full so took the pasta home to our son who ate it all and said it was delicious. Turkey club. 5/5. I have zero complaints here. The taste was wonderful, fresh, refreshing and the waffle fries were perfectly cooked. All in all was a really good meal. We will for sure be back soon!!

This place saved the day! I was searching for a Turkey dinner for my uncle in the hospital and they went above and beyond

I will definitely be coming here again! There are a lot of options for food which can be a little overwhelming. However, it is VERY reasonably priced. $15 for a toast is wild but that's how cafes price things everywhere. However, other cafes smear some avocado on toast and add a tomato and charge you $15, here they give you a whole meal with an egg on top, cucumbers and tomatoes, avocado, and more. It actually feels like it's worth your money. The coffee is good even though it's not too unique. I feel like they used to be a specialty coffee shop before they turned to the crepe/cafe scene. The coffee was very sweet though so I would highly recommend getting it half sweet. The crepe is good, stuffed well and worth the price. It is obviously sweet as well so it's hard to drink a very sweet coffee with a sweet crepe. The barista was kind and helpful with any questions I had when ordering. There was gentleman with a disability ordering before me and the barista was very patient and kind when taking his order. Seems like they have good people working here, which plays a big role in atmosphere.

Since it was our first time there, we weren't familiar with the ordering process or menu. I didn't want to hold up the line trying to decide what to order, so I asked if we could sit down first and look over the menu. She cleaned off a table for us, but then told me I needed to hurry up and order because she didn't want other people getting upset about how long it would take me to decide. I didn't respond and simply waited until we were ready to order, which only took about four minutes. What confused and upset me was that shortly after, a white man came in and she told him he could sit down, take his time, and order whenever he was ready because "it's not busy." The difference in treatment was very noticeable and honestly made me uncomfortable as an African-American woman. Maybe this was a misunderstanding, but the interaction did not sit right with me. I believe every customer should be treated with the same patience and respect, especially first-time customers who are simply trying to understand how the restaurant works. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and does better moving forward. This needs to be addressed immediately not deleted

The employees are friendly and genuinely make us feel welcome every time we come back. Today I decided to change up my usual routine and ordered the waffle with eggs and sausage--plus, of course, an English muffin with peanut butter . I was not disappointed. The waffle was absolutely delicious: light and tender on the inside with the perfect crispness on the outside. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the sausage links were flavorful, and the English muffin was toasted just right. As always, the coffee was excellent and the service was outstanding. If you're looking for a great local spot with good food, good coffee, and friendly people, stop by and meet your friends here! Scott

Pulling into the parking lot, I have to admit I wondered if my GPS had developed a sense of humor. The restaurant sits in an older strip mall that doesn't exactly scream "destination dining," but the inside has a cozy, old-school Texas diner feel that was actually pretty charming. Unfortunately, convincing my two kids that this was a better choice than IHOP turned into a losing battle almost immediately. We waited over 40 minutes for our food, which, in kid time, is roughly equivalent to serving a prison sentence. Every five minutes I was reminded that pancakes at IHOP would have already been eaten, digested, and forgotten by then. To be fair, the food was good. I ordered the Philly Scramble, and my wife ordered the California Eggs Benedict. The quality was solid, but the pricing left me scratching my head. The California Eggs Benedict, which came with tomato, avocado, and bacon, was nearly $30. For comparison, I've paid less for Eggs Benedict at places in downtown Seattle. Seeing a $28.99 Eggs Benedict in a strip mall in Kent felt like finding luxury hotel prices at a gas station convenience store. The pricing surprises didn't stop there. There are extra charges for things like splitting orders, automatic gratuity, and add-ons. We had asked for strawberries with the French toast, which may have contributed to the final bill, but it wasn't entirely clear when I reviewed the receipt. Unfortunately, the handwriting on the check was difficult to read, making it hard to understand exactly how everything was itemized. Since I wasn't completely sure what had already been included, I ended up leaving an additional tip just to avoid accidentally shorting someone. By the end, breakfast for our family came out to around $115. Now, credit where it's due: the service itself was friendly, and once the food arrived, everyone enjoyed it. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I can see why people like this place. The restaurant has a unique charm and definitely feels different from the typical chain breakfast spot. Overall, Mary's Fine Food serves good food and has a pleasant atmosphere, but the long wait times and pricing felt hard to justify for a family breakfast. Three stars. Not a bad meal, but next time my kids vote for IHOP, they may actually win the family election.

FARMHOUSE BREW: WHERE'S MY EMOTIONAL SUPPORT GOAT?…read more Look, their pour-over coffee is nothing short of miraculous - each cup personally blessed by what I assume must be artisanal coffee angels. BUT WHERE ARE THE BABY GOATS IN PAJAMAS? I arrived fully expecting to sip my artisanal latte while a miniature donkey named Espresso gently headbutted my knee for attention. Their single-origin Ethiopian roast? Divine. The tasting notes include hints of blueberry and jasmine. You know what DOESN'T include blueberry and jasmine? THE CONSPICUOUS ABSENCE OF A CHICKEN COOP NEXT TO THE SUGAR STATION. I brought three different types of organic chicken feed IN CASE THEY HAD A PREFERENCE. Sure, their cold brew is steeped for 19 hours in pristine mountain water collected by monks. But let's talk about what's really important: I've been here SEVEN TIMES and have yet to see a single sheep wearing a hand-knitted sweater waddle up to me asking for oat milk foam leftovers. I even bought a tiny shepherd's crook FOR NOTHING. The baristas can discuss coffee terroir with PhD-level precision, but can they tell me why there isn't a pot-bellied pig named Lord Bacon III greeting customers at the door? I specifically came wearing my rubber boots today, prepared to stand in authentic farm mud while ordering my cappuccino. Their seasonal spiced latte is a masterpiece of flavor balance. Whatever. I've been sitting here for two hours and not once has a heritage breed rooster named Colonel Clucksworth interrupted my laptop time with his perfectly timed morning crow. The ambiance is SEVERELY lacking in authentic farm chaos. Listen, the recycled barn wood aesthetic is cute and all, but you can't just slap some Edison bulbs on a ceiling and call yourself "Farmhouse" without providing at least ONE alpaca in a bow tie who judges people's coffee orders with gentle humming sounds. Five stars for their coffee program - their commitment to craft is undeniable. But NEGATIVE FARM ANIMAL stars for creating false hopes of being able to share my morning scone with a dairy cow named Ms. Moochiato. I've started a petition to add at least a small petting zoo corner. So far I have three signatures, including one that might just be a coffee stain that looks like a signature. P.S. I heard they're expanding their patio next month. I've already drafted architectural plans that include a miniature barn where therapy chickens can host coffee cupping sessions. I'm willing to negotiate on the chicken sweater designs. P.P.S. The pastries are excellent, though they would taste demonstrably better if delivered by a pygmy goat wearing a tiny apron and name tag. I've done the research - goat-delivered croissants increase customer satisfaction by 427%. Note: To the staff who keep explaining that "Farmhouse" refers to their rustic aesthetic - I understand, but have you considered that your tip jar would overflow if you just added one (1) baby lamb in rain boots who helps steam milk? Just one. That's all I'm asking for. I already have the rain boots in three sizes. Special Addendum: I'm not saying your business model is flawed, but I am saying that every coffee shop is improved by the addition of a miniature horse barista apprentice named Macchiato McFoamerson III.
