Came for breakfast. Ordered chorizo scramble, flour tortillas, home fries and an espresso martini. Martini was smooth and nice & strong. Although a simple dish, the spices for the scramble and home fries were great. Used the fresh, hot tortillas to load the scramble onto. The home fries were amazingly crunchy but not greasy and still soft inside. I packed up what I couldn't eat on the spot. Unfortunately I forgot the to-go box. Super bummed I forgot. Ordered chicken pot pies tonight from DoorDash and there was zero chicken in either one. It was really odd. They also arrived luke warm and it was like a 7 min drive to deliver. Our first time here after reading reviews. It is a typical diner environment and a little dated to the 80's/90's. The staff was somewhat welcoming but nowhere near the 4 star ratings. I would say the food was okay. My omelette was made incorrectly but was not bad. The biscuits and gravy were a lot of food and was ok but the hash browns were very oily and salty. The coffee was not very good even for what I expect at a diner. Overall I would say it was a very average experience and for me nothing notable to return. read more

This is our new go to breakfast spot. It has just opened a couple weeks ago and I have already been there three times. Twice for breakfast and once for all you can eat salad bar dinner. The salad bar dinner also includes a hot potato bar and soup. It even had hummus, macaroni salad and pasta salad. The make your own salads have all the fixins you desire with quality dressings to choose from. I must have ate 2 huge salads while I was there and felt 0 guilt. Breakfast has been my favorite here and I have gotten the chilaquiles twice each time. The entrée is very large, enough to take home for a second meal. The sauce is authentic and everything tastes amazing with the fried eggs on top. Lots of juicy steak or chorizo on top. I like to pair it with a mimosa for breakfast and it feels like a real treat. My husband ordered the steak and eggs. The first time he went and he said the steak was really really good. Almost too good for a small diner like this. I agree it was very fresh and juicy. The prices are reasonable and the service is outstanding. Ive never had to wait for a table. And our servers are always so friendly and helpful. I'm glad to see this small restaurant get a new owner with fabulous new entrees. We will definitely be back. In fact I hope to get in there tomorrow. read more

We peeked at the menu when they first opened it was pretty limited. After seeing so many positive FB posts we decided to take a look again. Their menu has expanded quite a bit so we stopped in for a casual family dinner. Our server was sweet and attentive! Went on Saturday. Health dept rated it okay found rotten lettuce in salad bar. Had to ask to refill salad and butter. Baked potato bar is awesome. Not enough help. Waitress was over worked. Several weeks ago I stopped by at this place after Golf, I ordered their Turkey dinner and coffee ($20 plus) it was the worst I have ever had. The Turkey was dry and very tough and the Dressing was dry and tasted bad. I am usually in this area several times a month and looking for somewhere to eat. My husband and I went in on a Saturday afternoon. It was late afternoon, so in between lunch and dinner time, but the restaurant still had a decent number of customers. We were greeted upon arrival and promptly seated. Our server was Nicole and she was fantastic. She was personable and attentive, even as she was getting ready to go on a break. It was a very friendly environment and the restaurant itself was clean and inviting. We got the pretzel bites and beer cheese to start. The pretzels were delicious, chewy and properly salted. The beer cheese dip was very good but I would've liked it to be a bit hotter. It had already cooled a bit when it was brought out to us. It was ultimately fine and the flavor was excellent, but just something to keep in mind. Our teenage son happily ate the leftover pretzel bites later on and said they were delicious even cold. I had the fish and chips. My husband joked that it looked like I had the entire fish on my plate. It was only two pieces of fish but they were huge. As someone who is picky about fish and chips I was so happy to see that they dip their fish in beer batter instead of breadcrumbs. The fish was flaky and moist and the beer batter was light and crisp. The fries were tasty as well. My husband had the biscuits and gravy with home fried potatoes. Again, the portions were large. The biscuits in particular were giant. He said it was very tasty. Between the great customer service and the fact that there are several other things on the menu we want to try, we'll definitely be back. read more

Pretty disappointed tonight. Drinks were very over poured -I assume when I was in the 20's this would have been great but in my 50's I just want a nice drink made well. The bar manager sat next to us and heard us talking about the disappointment and said nothing. We got our check and left with 2 full drinks and no one asked us if there was something wrong. Great place to hang out on the weekend! Good music and food (salad bar is the best). We also had the prime rib plate ( i give it a 4 honestly) lacked flavor and dipping juices were lukewarm. We also had the carne asada plate (let's give that a 6.5) beans may have been canned and no rice. But overall an okay dish. Salad bar was great! (An 8 for that) potato bar lacked warm cheese sauce but it was okay. If you judge that your food was delicious, how can you possibly give only a two-star rating? I'll explain! It was our first time at Gabriela's. We really like chicken fried steak, so we both ordered it. The dish was done beautifully. The crunchy exterior and tender interior were perfect. The gravy delicious; creamy and flavorful. The hash browns were both delicate and yet still crispy. The two over-easy eggs were flawless, and the biscuit was tall and fluffy. So two stars? What gives? When you go out and spend significant money these days for nearly twice what restaurant meals cost barely six or seven years ago, you want, expect, nay deserve (!) two things: The first is delicious food! The Second is friendly, warm customer service. At Gabriela's, the chef is to be commended for a job wonderfully well done. The first expectation of eating out was easily met. However, the second was abysmal. It may come as a surprise to some at Gabriela's, but restaurants are part of the hospitality business. People not only want, but actually need excellent service. The food was delivered fairly quickly, but the youngish waitress could barely manage a smile. The hostess who greeted us at the store never did manage a smile. The lack of warmth, the lack of smiles all around, the lack of even a friendly word, took an otherwise lovely meal and made it painful! The blond, beehive-styled, middle-aged hostess did not smile, but even when we made eye contact, she looked away. By the time we left after watching her, we expected her to snarl. She was at least an equal opportunity, curmudgeonly grump, to everyone she seated. It may sound humorous, but it made us regret eating our meal there. Today most people's lives are hard. And eating out should be a lovely moment! Some people eat out often. Others, like ourselves, don't. We wanted both prongs of the eat-out algorithm to be special. We want tasty, well-prepared food, AND we want to be treated as customers should be treated, with at the very least some sense of appreciation for the business you are giving to the establishment. Before and during college, I worked for 10 years as a waitress. I made it a point of personal pride to deliver the swiftest, most attentive, kind service possible, while never invading the customers' privacy. Gabriela's Restaurant needs to reward its chef to the max, and absolutely needs to hire a new hostess and a new waitress! Pronto! When you do, we'll be back. read more

My husband and I recently discovered this place and it has become my mom's favorite. We enjoy the food and friendly atmosphere. The staff is wonderful. Breakfast is our favorite: mom loves the waffles and I enjoy the scrambles. We brought mom here for dinner on her 92nd birthday and the chocolate flan cake was delicious. read more

Fantastic experience. We went in for the first time and it was on a Sunday morning. The place is well lit and clean. Menus had a lot of variety without being overwhelming. I had the carne asada and eggs and it was delicious. Also at our table were pancakes and the salmon Benedict. Both of those were very good as well. The staff was awesome and food got to us super fast. Will most likely make this our go-to breakfast joint from now on. Asked for an espresso martini which was on there specialty drinks Menu.. waitress said she didn't know how to make it but would go check- comes back with a what looks like an espresso martini but it just was a shot and half of baileys. Was charged $15.75 at a dinner. (Crazy) the I ordered corn hash with over medium eggs.... Potatoes were not cooked properly, they were still a raw with no crisp to it and hardly any hash mixed in and to top it off the eggs were over easy not over medium... no flavor at all on the home fries on top of it being raw.. they said they would remake it for me and it was brought back the exact same way - they did comp my meal was the only good thing. Won't be coming back though sadly. They need new cooks !!! read more

I've only ordered take out from here, but we've been back at least 4 times in just a couple weeks. Got their chicken fried steak breakfast the first, and second time! Once with their home fries and the other with hash browns, both excellent choices. Toss a coin for that one, it's a win-win either way. Their staff has always been extremely helpful and attentive, even though I'm only getting it to go, I've been very happy with how helpful and accommodating they've been. I ordered one time and waited inside for the food, they brought me a cup of coffee and it was great. Food was done and I hadn't finished my coffee yet! Always give a good amount of gravy for the chicken fried steak, ask if you want utensils and napkins or any condiments. But the food has generous portions, and tastes really good! I haven't had much luck finding a full menu online, so I don't know everything they offer, but that's about the only thing I have come across myself that is a little bit of a drawback, however, it's easily remedied and I'm excited to see what the full menu looks like. I am looking forward to making this one of our regular places! One of these days it would be fun to go in for the salad/potato bar, sounds delish! Oh!
