So much fun! Came here after work with coworkers and had so much fun. They were short staffed but they made it work. Drinks were 10/10. Bartender was fabulous. Food was just okay but it hit the sport. No complaints. This is a great place to host a party with friends. Lots of tables and chairs. Prices were reasonable. Karaoke night was a blast. This bar is not a seat yourself bar, I waited almost 10 minutes at a table before going to the bar to order there instead, a sign saying such would help. Ordered three burgers to go with less that 15 people in the entire restaurant. I wanted a veggie wrap as it shows on the website but apparently they don't make that. For the burgers I ordered, One was the agave jalapeño, one was the little cheese with lettuce, tomato, and onion on the side, and one was a mushroom Swiss with a vegan patty and no bacon. After 44 minutes I got my food and drove home. The agave burger is missing a large chunk of the patty, the little cheese has no veggies on the side, and the mushroom Swiss has bacon and is a normal meat burger. Very disappointed and would recommend you avoid this bar. read more

Server was clearly intoxicated when I was greeted the 10+ min after I arrived waiting to be seated. She was very obviously wasn't interested in gaining new customers and new business and was only focused on the regulars seated at the bar. Didn't even stay long enough to order food as it was apparent she had forgotten my table. Very disappointing and would not recommend this place to anyone. 0/10. read more

Had my class reunion here. Was a fun time, and the team here cleaned up after us (even though we should've), which was very considerate. I stayed a little later and was even allowed to use one of my drink tickets over 2 hours after the reunion ended. Nick was cool and made me a green tea shot and one for himself. Was the first shot I ever had, and it was really amazing. Definitely loved the peach schnapps. And when one of my other classmates asked to buy us a shot, Nick gave each of us another. Admittedly, those shots kinda hit me like a freight train within a few minutes, and I got extremely sleepy. A very nice team member named Siouni made sure I didn't fall asleep and assured me they could get me an Uber or a Lyft if I needed. But I decided to just stay put and sober up, and Nick was kind enough to get me some ice water. Was really impressed with the concern and care I received while I stayed. Looking forward to coming back, and hopefully on a Karaoke night. read more

Several years ago, we happened to try out the Lost Dutchman in Maple Valley. We discovered they had an excellent Chicken Dinner. It was a half of a chicken, well prepared (baked) and seasoned, mashed potatoes and gravy with either a vegetable or salad (don't recall which). We both enjoyed it and would make the trip from south Kent once or twice a month. Then COVID hit and it was off our list as they were closed to indoor/outdoor dining. Last night, our elderly neighbor was at our house and we decided a chicken dinner would be fun so we made the drive. While the chicken dinner was still on the menu, it's now 3 pieces of deep fried chicken, mashed potatoes with a horrible gravy. The waitress wasn't aware salad was supposed to come with the meal so we had to ask. We each had one piece of chicken that was close to raw in the center, the other two were fine. The new dinner was a drumstick, wing and thigh deep fried, NOT a baked half chicken. The gravy was sooooo salty we all tried to scrape it off the potatoes. I'm not sure if our waitress was just having a bad day or if she always has an attitude but it's not the service I would have expected for a restaurant that needs clientele. There were only a few tables occupied on the dinning side. There were customers playing pool and darts. Nobody was wearing masks except for us. Even our waitress wasn't wearing a mask. The men's restroom was not clean, one of the urinals was out of order and covered with black plastic with a vulgar sign indicating we (customers aka 'assh@$%es') were not to use it. If the staff sees fit to address their customers in this manner it's not a place I'm going to frequent. Unfortunately, we won't be going back to The Lost Dutchman. read more

First of all, I must say it is nice to have a dive-y bar in Maple Valley that is not the Red Dog or Pla-mor! The location is in the area that newer residents call "Old Maple Valley" which is personally my favorite part of Maple Valley. I absolutely love that they have several dart boards, and skee ball! Not enough bars have games, in my opinion. Nothing makes drinking a beer more fun than throwing darts between sips. By they way, they have a pretty good beer selection! I would highly recommend getting bar snacks, like a pretzel, over the more entree-like menu items. I got a quesadilla there once, and it was mediocre. My finance was not trilled with his meal either. Came in on the night before thanksgiving with my mom and some friends for her bday. The crowd was SUPER young! Like, I doubt they were all over 21 young. There was a guy playing music which was a nice surprise! He had a friend of his come up to do a few songs but Chuck came up and demanded the other guy not play and he got kicked off the stage. Super douche move, that guys music was actually fun and sounded good! Decided to leave after that since the majority of the bar was stumbling drunk (saw two people puking in the parking lot) and it seemed super shady. We stopped at 11:30 to have a drink... bar tender did everything he could to avoid serving us. I assume it was because he wanted to go home early. I came here in the evening for a beer. I believe I ordered a bud light and ended up sitting at the bar. I met the bartender who seemed to be working very hard. I also met a couple of guests and they were awesome ! They ended up asking if I wanted a smoke to play some pool. Wow, it seriously makes me so sad to see that this bar has such a low rating! :( We were here to play darts for the night and I wasn't sure what to expect because of the area it was in. When you walk in though, it's actually such a cool bar. It's pretty spacious - there's tons of seating and even a big stage where people sing karaoke and where I'm sure they have live bands from time to time. As far as food goes, we tried the fries, mac and cheese bites/poppers, and the mozzarella sticks. Food was amazing. The mac and cheese bites (I think that's what they were) were BOMB! They were a little spicy which isn't what I was expecting but daaaamn it was amazing. They were so good. A little sad that they don't offer Blue Moon pitchers, but oh well. It turns out that the team we were playing against was actually made up of the owner and another guy who is great friends with the owner. We ended up hanging out with them pretty much all night, having great conversations with them and even singing with them! It was a blast. First time there a few months ago (pre COVID) & had a terrible experience. The middle aged bartender on an early Saturday evening shift was the rudest woman we've ever met. Ignored us after sitting up at the bar for 15+ minutes in an empty restaurant. When we had to get her attention to even order anything she was abrupt, short & sarcastic. Food was just ok. Very salty. Tried to give them a second chance tonight for takeout. Craving a veggie platter that few other restaurants offer. The phone was answered with a "what do you want? We're closing soon." The man made it clear my phone call was an inconvenience to him. I will not be giving this place a third strike. read more

We gave the Lost Dutchman a try on a weekend afternoon for drinks and lunch not too long ago. It was pretty empty then. The bar is set up in a way that the bartenders can't see everyone sitting there at the same time, which makes for somewhat awkward service. The first bartender was a woman, and she kept telling us how she had an injury and it was really tough. That was fine, she was nice. She disappeared for a while, and when she came back and we said we wanted to order food, she joked, "Oh you want food, TOO?!!" like it was an inconvenience to her. I guess we only saw the basic bar food menu, so we ordered off of that. We asked for nachos and chicken wings. Seemed like safe enough choices to try their food out. She then disappeared again for some time. We watched a woman stand at the bar for a ridiculous amount of time to order a beer. Another customer kept reassuring her that yes, there was in fact a bartender there, somewhere. A second bartender arrived, a guy. He started his shift by standing at the bar and taking off a series of baggy layered shirts in front of us, and he kept casually bringing up to everyone that he's "such an asshole"... By then our food was ready, and it was really sad. The nachos had to have been microwaved, like you would at home in a hurry. The cheese was mostly underneath the chips stuck to the plate... The wings were absolutely drowning in a sauce that tasted like BBQ sauce, which wasn't the flavor we ordered. The cook came out later and asked how our food was, and we just didn't know what to say. Lost Dutchman has a courteous staff and the food is outstanding. They are open until 0145 every night. When the other area bars have early "last call" and close, their staff comes to Dutchman. Great beer selection, generous drinks, great TVs, just a cool local bar all around. EDIT 9/19/2017 Just had a terrible experience at this place. Ordered a hamburger and it had so much salt in the patty I couldn't believe it! The bar tender was my server and he said he can't do anything about what happens in the kitchen, only with drinks. This place is the worst place ever - I have lived in Maple Valley, forever and have been to this bar "3-times" and they have struck out each time!!!!!! My review is based solely on drinks...they're great. I've never been to a bar where the bartender seeks me out to add the peach purée to my drink because he couldn't find it when he was making my drink. He took the time to find both the purée and me. I'm sorry, I really wanted to like this place..very disappointed with the bartender. I sat up at the bar and wasn't even acknowledged for a couple of minutes. It wasn't like the place was busy, it was a Tuesday...I sense there is some frustrations with the bartender and the owner from some side conversations I overheard. I ordered a cocktail and the nachos. The nachos were awful! No cheese all chips and the chicken tasted like it was microwaved, no Bueno. I wasn't expecting a five star meal just some descent bar food!!! I really wanted to like this place. My Recommendations to the owner: better service/bartender and hire a new cook!!. I need to update this review. The service has really improved! Of course, when it's really busy, the check-ins slow down. My friends and I love their karaoke nights (great DJ), and the staff remembers us and our preferred drinks. Great for a fun night out of singing, dancing and drinking. read more
