    Monte Christo

Nothing fancy atmosphere, but very clean and comfy. Service was excellent and their menu is rich with unique and delicious choices, along with all the traditional items, as well. We had two of their items off the seasonal menu; banana Nutella stuffed French toast and a Monte Christo. I really hope they keep those forever, both were fantastic. Fresh coffee and some fun coctail choices, too. Their Bloody Mary was simple, but perfectly spiced and yummy! We will definitely be back.

Stopped in Sunday morning, was seated right away, and set up with water while browsing the menu. Staff was friendly and checked on my table a few times while eating. I ordered the corned beef and hash, but pointed at the menu while ordering and ended up receiving chicken fried steak. I debated sending it back, but didn't have time. The steak itself was a bit tough still, but the breading and sausage gravy were excellent. Eggs were really good, and hashbrowns were okay. I'll try the home style potatoes next time. Even with my order getting mixed up, I still enjoyed my meal and plan to return and actually try the corned beef and hash. Update- Stopped in for the corned beef. First time having it served like this. Lots of flavor.

Checking out a local breakfast place. Restaurant is bright and clean. Surprisingly the menu had lot more choices than expected. Price was fair and food was decent. Service was great. Will come back to try other dishes.

For a basic breakfast place in the neighborhood with no frills this is a decent spot. Went on a Wed mid- morning and the place was half full. Waitstaff was friendly. I had the sunflower cafe meal with eggs, choice of meat, toast and hash browns. I upgraded the hash browns to potato tumblers which were like potato balls.

Solid little basic breakfast joint in Renton. Interior is clean, not cluttered and has a very open feel. Inside is very diner-esque, which you wouldn't get that vibe from looking at the exterior. Food came out pretty quickly even though the restaurant was busy. I ordered a pancake and it was pretty big, split the biscuits and gravy with my sister and mom got the cali benedict. The pancake was really solid, crispy and just dense enough. The biscuits and gravy were pretty good too, not too salty. The hash browns were okay, a little cold. Overall, really good experience and prices weren't steep.

Very fast service, friendly. Great food, the omelettes are very good here. Swedish crepes are another favorite. Bright restaurant, love the 60s diner decor.

I came here with a group of friends for brunch. This restaurant used to be a Starbucks but they moved to another location closeby. There's plenty of parking around the plaza. As I entered the restaurant, I noticed it was not full with lots of seatings. The interior was bright, reminds me like you're in a classic diner. As I joined my party, we were seated immediately. The menu was very standard and has all your basic breakfast/lunch foods. Prices are a bit hefty. I decided to order the farmer's omelet which includes sausage, ham, onion, bell pepper, and cheese with a side of toast and hashbowns. Overall, I thought my breakfast platter was just average. Nothing too special except if you want to shell out some cash. I understand that they're fairly new, my meal should not cost $20 with tips. Imo I think you're better off going to IHOP just for the cost and the variety in general.

They always have me at Bacon!! Nice and crispy yet juicy, and full of flavor! First time for both of us with their omelets. Very thing egg, I think for the veggie one everything was diced smaller than i like it but otherwise it was good! The sausage omelet was delicious! The service is always good. Atmosphere quant.

The service was good the Ambiance bright with plenty of natural light!! My husband was raving about this place because he tried it on his lunch break. So I went on a date with my husband for breakfast I ordered pancakes bacon and eggs my eggs were slightly overcooked and my pancakes and bacon sadly we're not anything extraordinary!! I also ordered a mimosa but it's easy to make mimosas, especially when you pour yourself My husband breakfast not to bad, he did not bother eating his hash browns as you can see in the picture they're very undercooked. Also ordered a Hawaiian coffee which was served somewhat lukewarm I did not bother to finish. The presentation of the food was good but the taste and quality not so good maybe we caught the chef on a bad day, but at least I tried based upon a friends recommendation and my husband's recommendation.

Chicken fried steak, looks great but sadly isnt.

They have a list of combos that are huge portions for at least 2-3 meals? My husband got the fried catfish with choice of 3 sides & I got the 3 wings with 3 sides combo. The catfish was moist on the inside & light & crisp with a cornmeal crust on the outside. 2 big filets in his combo with 3 sides, he chose Mac & cheese, collard greens with turkey neck meat(no pork) & candied yams...all so tasty & huge portions. The special today was chicken etouffee served on a bed of white rice for $13! The gravy was rich & flavorful, the chicken was tender. So tasty...they also have a combo with BBQ ribs that are so tender the meat falls off the bone clean! All combos also come with a square slice of cornbread. Their cornbread is more cake like & sweet style. The owner Kenny is nice & hospitable, attentive always making sure everything is ok. I was too full for Dole Whip today but they had original pineapple flavor & watermelon as well...the 2nd flavor changes periodically but they always have pineapple. Soulfood Sunday is always the last Sunday of the month but they always have wings, catfish, grilled sandwiches & more on the daily & they even have a tables & chairs as well as a high counter seating along the window. Stop by for some hearty tasty eats! The store side of the shop has some really great products...way better than any corner store you've stepped foot in, very nice shop. Unexpected little corner market with good food, great groceries & all the vibes. Check it out the next time you are in downtown Renton.

Upping walking up to the gas station, I could smell the aroma of freshly fried food and I thought maybe I was in a for a nice treat. The food was sitted under heat lamps and most of it looked pretty fresh. The jojos are large and have a great crust on it. The seasoning is pretty solid too. The interior of the potato wedge was soft and nice contrast to the crust. The chicken tenders were fresh and actually moist. They were the most surprisingly the best thing I ate from here. The fried chicken left some to desire. The chicken wings were dry. Just dry and not good. The crust on the chicken thighs was good though. It was seasoned well and super crispy. The meat on the thigh wasn't as dry as the chicken wings but definitely not as moist or juicy as you would expect a thigh to be. The guy helping me was friendly although I had to repeat my order quite a few times. The fried chicken was completely flavorless and overfried. Best thing was the jalapeño poppers. Everything else overfried and old. When we asked for more jalapeño poppers to be made, the older woman made some elaborate excuse about a new employee burning a huge order, so she shut the fryers down early. This was around 4pm on a Friday. She said she was leaving it til morning? So old burnt oil will be left overnight I guess. I see glove use, but wonder if they change gloves when handling money and cashiering. I've tried twice. No thanks. At least Krispy Krunchy chicken flavors their chicken.

Walking into this location, the interior is clean, simple, and welcoming. It has that classic sandwich shop feel: bright lighting, an open counter where you can watch your sub being made, and a steady but efficient flow of customers. It's not overly fancy, but it doesn't need to be--the focus here is clearly on the food and the experience. The staff keeps things moving smoothly, and there's a sense of familiarity if you've been coming here as long as I have. I actually made the switch from Subway years ago, and I haven't looked back since. What stands out most about Jersey Mike's is the value. You're getting a noticeably larger portion, especially with a "regular" size, which honestly feels more like what other places would call a large. It's filling, satisfying, and worth every dollar. My two staples are the #13 The Original Italian and the #2 Jersey Shore's Favorite--and you truly can't go wrong with either. The #13 is packed with a variety of meats that all complement each other, while the #2 keeps things simple with provolone and ham, letting the quality of the ingredients really shine. That's what I appreciate most: the simplicity. There's nothing overly complicated here--just fresh bread, good meats, crisp toppings, and a balance that works every single time. Everything tastes fresh, at least in my experience, and you can genuinely taste the difference compared to competitors. The bread has the right texture, the ingredients don't feel processed or stale, and the sandwiches are assembled with care. It's that consistency that keeps me coming back. No matter how many times I've ordered from this location over the years, I've never had an issue with quality. That's rare, especially for a chain. At this point, ordering from this Jersey Mike's has become second nature. I know exactly what I'm going to get, and they deliver on that expectation every time. That level of reliability, combined with solid portions and fresh ingredients, makes it an easy choice. I'll absolutely continue ordering from this location--it's one of those places you can depend on when you want something quick, filling, and consistently good.
