Terrific sandwiches and burgers, in my opinion the best fish and chips in town, I just love the beer dipped batter, (or is it tempura?...) My one and only complaint is the Stilly's country gravy, it's just terrible! Too thick, tastes like flour and if there's any sausage in it you could hardly tell. We will never order Stilly's country gravy again! The other food and the great service makes up for it so we won't miss the gravy. read more

Wow this place is delicious! Dunno if it's cause it's St. Patty Day weekend or what but it was an hour wait so we sat at the bar which was no wait. I ordered a burger and a sunrise mimosa and my husband got the California hash! Such good food! We think this is one of the best diners we been to on this side of town. It's a pretty small spot. One of the best breakfast spots we've ever been to. Quality food, great service, local place - always busy but has the ability to reserve your spot online. Portions are pretty big and if you order anything other than a standard breakfast (2 eggs, potatoes, meat & toast) you will likely have leftovers. The omelets are pretty big. Came here with a friend and ordered the Bacon, tomato and avocado Benedict. It was delicious. I also like that I can sub the hashbrowns for fruit to keep it lower in carbs since I follow a low carb diet. I found my new eggs Benedict spot. The coffee was great too. The food came out quickly and it did not disappoint! Huge portions too (plenty of yummy leftovers for a lazy Sunday!) The staff was on point, happy faces and super courteous! We all loved the decor, plus this restaurant was CLEAN! For being a "greasy spoon" diner, there was no grease and dust pile up! One of the best breakfast locations in northern snohomish county. This place gets busy on the weekends which is just a sign of how good it is. I stopped here for breakfast around 10 AM on a Thursday on the way to North Cascades National Park, and was surprised by how full the spot was -- clearly lots of regular locals and families. My friend and I shared MATT'S LOADED HASHBROWN PLATE ($16.99; hashbrowns with ham, bacon, sausage, onions, mushrooms, and cheddar -- omitted the green peppers), and a side of two eggs ($3.95). They also do half portions for a few dollars less, but splitting a regular plate is obviously better value, and was plenty for breakfast. This was pure comfort food, and made for a satisfying diner meal. The hashbrowns were nice and crispy, the meats and cheddar added great flavor, and the poached eggs mixed in well. The plate came with the choice of bread or a pancake, and the white bread we chose came nicely toasted and buttered. Overall, nothing particularly mind-blowing, but solid diner fare with a wealth of choices, a busy small-town atmosphere, and very reasonable prices given the portions. read more

We met some friends there that were traveling from out of state. I took advantage of their waiting list option and it worked out perfectly!! The food was wonderful and I had plenty of leftovers. I had the choice of meat omelette with the breakfast potatoes and a pancake for my side. My husband also had an omelette and just raved about the toast!! I was shocked he ordered it but he loved it!! Been here twice now, first time was an online order and second time we sat down at a table. This place stays BUSY. I placed an order online around 9:45am for the California hashbrown plate (10/10) and one biscuit and gravy plate (9/10 should've ordered more) and paid for it. Took about 15/20 minutes to get there and our food was ready! Like I said, BUSY. We walked up to the register, grabbed our food from the friendly staff, and walked out easy peasy. The food was HOT, DELICIOUS, and made me FERAL for more. I would absolutely recommend online ordering from here :) If you want to sit down, get there EARLIER or put your name on the list and walk around! We showed up around 9/9:30am as a party of 2 and waited about 30 mins. Not bad at all, we were like 6th on the list. There is a waiting area outside but they'll call your phone number when they're ready for you. The service was so quick we had our food within 10 minutes of sitting down! We ordered Eggs Benedict Florentine (9/10 I love spinach but they put a whole bag lol) and the perfect plate combo (9/10). Just like last time the food was hot, delicious, and made us feral for more. I stopped by here as it was one of the few eateries open when I got here around 7 am. This place opens at 6 am which is great if you are passing through. Located in Arlington's downtown strip, there are plenty of street parking in the early hours. There is also a lot right across it. The diner is quite big with two sections and you can sit anywhere you like. It was busy when I was there, about 3/4 full. I guess this place saw many travelers passing through as well as the locals. Though I could not imagine bringing their families here so early at 6+ am for breakfast. I had coffee which was badly needed since I was already on the road from 5 am. Good thing it was refillable. I liked how the server asked if I wanted flavored cream when I requested for cream. I was more sleepy than hungry then so I just had a small order of the biscuit and gravy. It came with half biscuit, gravy, an egg, 2 sausage link or bacon, and choice of country potatoes or hashbrowns. The biscuit itself was not as good as the one at Lake Stevens, but it was still nice. The gravy was yummy. Overeasy egg was cooked well. The sausage links were skinny and hash browns nicely crisped. This portion is good if you are not a big eater. I struggled to finish it. Service was friendly and good here. This could be my go to place to break for coffee and breakfast in future when I am heading down to Seattle in future. Came here for brunch on a Sunday. The wait was an hour long. They have gluten free pancakes and gluten free bread which is nice, because a lot of places don't offer that. My husband asked the server if the hash browns are gluten free (sometimes frozen hash browns come with a coating to keep from sticking-that coating usually contains gluten) and he said "should be". I didn't like that. He should have doubled check to make sure we didn't get sick. I avoided them just to be safe. Portions were fair, food was decent. I loved the bacon. It was thick and done great not too crispy. I'm never in the area, but if I am I'll keep this in mind due to the GF bread and pancake options. Also, idk what GF bread they use but it was one of the better ones I've had! read more

Came here after my daughter took the SATs in Arlington. The California Hash Brown Plate is probably one of my favorite brunch foods I've ever had in a restaurant. We got a side of french toast with it and came back another whole portion for someone's lunch tomorrow. My daughter said she might signup to take another SAT in Arlington just so we could come and eat here together again. Service was friendly and food came out really fast. They estimated wait when I called in at 10:50 a.m. on a Saturday was 1 to 1.5 hours, but we were seated in 40 minutes because we were willing to eat at the counter. read more

Driving from North Cascades we were hungry and it was well after lunch. Checking Yelp, the Stilly Diner sounded promising and was still open for an hour. I admit I was a bit shocked to find a line still waiting to get in. We decided it was worth the wait, fifth group in line, it took only about 20 minutes for tables to turn over. We decided to split a chicken, bacon, ranch wrap with fries and I had a cup of coffee. The coffee is roasted and ground locally and was delicious. The wrap was good. My wife didn't like all the chopped tomatoes, I wasn't thrilled with the overload of cold shredded cheddar cheese. Lightly grilling the tortilla would help melt the cheese and keep the chicken and bacon warmer as a balance to the vegetables and dressing. Still, I'm sure we would try it again if we had the chance. It was very good even with those caveats. Having the kitchen split the meal added $2, but presentation and the minimization of a fight over the delicious French fries made it very tolerable. The food is well worth a stop, and the serving staff are personable and professional. Those two things alway make a winning stop. read more

Tried this diner for the first time today! Very attentive staff and a great menu. Place is old but quaint & clean. A lot of repeat customers. I chose the cheese omelette that came with a big pile of delicious hash browns that I selected ( other choices available) and a good sized fluffy pancake. Wife had the Belgium waffle that came with 2 delicious sausage links and two eggs. The food came promptly and hot & fresh. The OJ tasted fresh squeezed and coffee was good & bottomless. Our regular weekend brunch spot since it's opening (we followed Matt, the original owner, from Bluebird... sorry bluebird - gotta go where the great cooks do!). Everything on the menu is delicious, you can order breakfast anytime, the specials are always awesome and definitely special! This is the only place I've ever loved corned beef hash because they use real beef not canned dog food looking "stuff"; I order it with a poached egg and hollandaise on top, with a fluffy, syrupy pancake on the side ... YUM! We see the same happy faces here all the time, our kids have grown with our favourite servers kids so it's fun to share family updates. It's just a good family atmosphere with amazingly great diner food. We also love classic movies so the decor is awesome, we even got a (smaller) creature from the black lagoon just like theirs bc our son always wanted us to lift him up to see it when he was a toddler (and now he loves that film!)
