Update... promoting to 4 stars because of the excellent service of the night shift bartender. Personable, professional and friendly.

This place was Maganificent! No Trump coins, plates or bibles on display, but there was enough MAGA style décor that you know exactly where you are. Funny thing is, Maple Valley has become semi affluent over the past decade, and I never would have expected this to be the attitude, but I assure you, I stood out like a bruised thumb here. Service was really slow and for a while, I thought I was being ignored. The only person I saw working walked by me about 3-4 times before saying a word and asking me what I was drinking. I had already seen what I assumed was the menu on Yelp via photos, and short or a very small price increase from 2022, it was spot on. I ordered my food and it was prepared fairly quick, the cook slapped the bell, and the server grabbed it in about a minute, but my meal was barely warm., I had a burger dip and the burger and au jus were both room temp. The fries were golden, but also room temp and not crisp. It was disappointing, because you could tell the food was better than you would expect, but nothing it great at room temp. My drink went unfilled, and it was at least 15 minutes after I finished eating that I was handed the check. The server was so busy being social with regulars, I didn't get the attention I needed. For me, a meal is 30-40 from entry to exit, I was here almost 90 minutes to give you an idea of how slow the service was, It wasn't busy, the server was just not doing her job and the longer I sat, the less welcome I felt. Honestly, I've had warmer reception in Enumclaw and that is a city notorious for refusing diversity. Whoever owns this place needs to be more involved and if you invested some money into updating the décor and focusing on a better atmosphere, you could attract a crowd, as of now, you get 2 stars despite what I see as 4-star potential. read more

FOUR CORNERS BAR AND GRILL: Finally, a place that understands that three meatballs does not a meatball menu make (looking at you, Lost Dutchman and your pitiful trio of spheres). Four Corners' Swedish meatball program--and yes, it deserves to be called a program--features SEVENTEEN varieties of handcrafted Nordic spheres, each somehow named after a different character from the Cartwright family tree. But let's talk about what happens at 7:00 PM sharp, when the entire establishment transforms into what can only be described as "Little Joe's fever dream." The moment the sun sets, the theme from Bonanza begins its eternal loop. And I mean eternal. The same triumphant horns, the same galloping rhythm, over and over and over again, until you start to question whether you've always existed in this endless frontier of Swedish meatballs and western glory. Watch in awe as your waitress, who only answers to "Hoss," performs elaborate trick rope demonstrations between courses. Marvel as the bartender, who legally changed his name to "Ponderosa Pete," mixes drinks while wearing spurs that somehow chime in perfect rhythm with the endless Bonanza theme. The breadsticks arrive via stagecoach (just a busboy with stick-on mustache pushing a cart, but the commitment is admirable). PERSONAL NOTE: During my visit last Tuesday, I made the rookie mistake of asking if they could "maybe play something else?" Ponderosa Pete stopped mid-pour, the room went silent (except for the Bonanza theme, of course), and every server turned to stare at me with the intensity of a thousand western sunsets. I was then required to take a solemn oath on a copy of the complete Bonanza DVD box set and don an emergency cowboy hat kept behind the bar for just such occasions. I'm now in their "Cartwright Loyalty Program," which mainly involves receiving mysterious telegram-style texts from Ponderosa Pete at 3 AM that just say "THE THEME RIDES ETERNAL." (Perfect score because I'm pretty sure they branded my loyalty card with an actual branding iron) HIGHLIGHTS: - The "Little Joe's Big Appetite" meatball challenge - Nightly recreations of classic Bonanza scenes using only condiments - That one server who can perfectly mimic a horse gallop using just coconut shells LOWLIGHTS: - Occasional customer breakdowns around hour three of the theme song - Hard to hear your dinner companion over the constant galloping - Ponderosa Pete's tendency to tear up during the trumpet solo (every 2 minutes and 47 seconds) Price: $$$ (Worth every penny just to watch the staff's synchronized boot-scootin') Dress Code: Cowboy hats mandatory after 7 PM Parking: Horse hitching posts available (actual cars also accepted) Note to The Lost Dutchman's "Admiral Amsterdam": While your windmill mechanics are impressive, they can't compete with the raw power of a single song played approximately 168 times per dinner service. This place is awesome, perfect atmosphere and the waitress is amazing. If you enjoy divey bars this is where you should go.

First off, waitress was more interested in schmoozing with the regulars than doing her job. We moved from table to bar so she wouldn't have to walk so far. Then, we noticed Trump garbage including a bumper sticker used by Trumpsters which pretty much tells former President Biden to eff off. There was also a sign saying to go away if you don't like the American flag. Honestly, it's only Trump supporting mgrs at bars who seem to have no problem with spewing their garbage. My husband's burger in his burger dip was burned and my grilled turkey sandwich nothing to write home about. The fries were the best thing. Again, the waitress too busy with schmoozing with the locals to get our order and the food sat at the pick up window for 10 minutes before she got it and brought it. I had to remind her that I had asked for tartar sauce. Would I recommend? Nope. We learned our lesson the hard way. Of course, we wouldn't be welcome again since we obviously have different taste in who should be running this country. One more thing: It is against the law to discriminate against a patron who has a seeing eye dog. The ADA doesn't take kindly to mgrs, like this mgr, who refuses service to someone with a dog that falls under ADA guidelines. Why didn't he provide service? Because he doesn't like dogs. I've wanted to try this place for the longest time but for some unknown reason I thought it was a dark dirty dive. Lol. So I go in yesterday and was I shocked! It was lovely light and much larger than I thought. Lots of games and afreakin book exchange! What? Nice menu good prices clean lovely staff and regulars. Fast and friendly service. The server went out if her way to get the Gonzaga game on the big screen and the DJ waited until the end of the game to begin karaoke. The burger was good. French Onion soup was terrible; tasted like greasy bouillon with limp onions- no cheese or bread in it. read more

We had the deep fried mushrooms which were hot and good. Husband's Philly dip and tots were great. Soft roll which he likes and nice and hot. Grilled peppers and onions and seasoned. We never realize this place was here because it's kind of hidden near El Caparell. Anyway we went in a few times this last month and were very impressed with all the staff very friendly bartenders and cooks. Great local joint with good service. I got a reuben, cheeseburger and taco salad. It was the worst reuben I ever had and could not even eat it. My son who loves cheeseburgers said it tasted weird and my other son said the taco salad tasted weird. We ended up throwing it all away! Won't order from here again. read more

Was at the goodwill last night hunting for treasures when husband decided he was curious enough about this place to go grab some late dinner. We walked in and there weren't very many people there...so we were graced with conversation by the employees. Huge downside- neither the Cougar or Husky game was available to be seen on the TV, so we settled on watching Oregon demolish Cal (not that any of us cared). I had the prime rib- it was $13 prime rib and hubby had nachos (which were pretty good). Service was good, it was the girls first day and she was trying hard to keep up. by the time we left Karaoke had started and it was filling up a bit faster...karaoke didn't seem to be taking off at all but I'm sure people got more into it the more they drank... bathrooms were clean and tidy. I was once in love with the Rendezvous when it was still the Rendezvous, a.k.a. transient dance party central. The place where a woman walked out of the bathroom and said, "I don't know who blood that is but it ain't mine!" I think this is what Maple Valley moms are expecting when they venture into Four Corners. Danger, mystery, intrigue. Some gritty characters to go with a mixer with their mixed drink. But they would never go here by themselves, no they roam in packs and you are now their pack leader. Instead they find a regular dimly lit bar with a kitchen in the back. Clean restrooms. A few pool tables. Karaoke on Fridays. Plenty of tables. Beers on tap and in bottles and chances of them getting a decent mixed drink are pretty good. Sure there is an entertaining crowd and I did see a man who only had one nipple. I always leave with a solid buzz and the piss drunk moms of Maple Valley once they figure out Four Corners is just a plain ol' good lovin' bar. read more

This place has a couple of great female bartenders. Seems to have a variety of ages of customers and types. Drinks are well made and beer is reasonably priced! Could use a facelift and some updating. Lots of random stuff on the walls. Overall it's much better than reviews have said in the past! Employee wise... The dude bartender, Brian, could use some manners, and stop taking more breaks than actual working hours. Luckily Tanya, and Sierra keep the place alive with great service and personality! read more

It's a dive bar that serves breakfast. Food was ok but nothing to write home about, coffee was so-so, service was not particularly fast or friendly, the regulars were loud and drunk at 10 in the morning, and their stares weren't exactly helping in creating a welcoming atmosphere. OK if you're in the area, looking for a cheap breakfast and/or cheap drinks, and don't mind being stared at by the regulars, but other than that it's not the greatest option in the area. read more

I give the bartender a 5 but the bar itself I'm not so sure about. The outside has a unattractive appearance. You go inside and there's bikers and they were all staring at me. I was scared. Thank goodness I was with my aunt & uncle. I couldn't wait to leave that place. The drink was good. I just don't like going to places were I feel not wanted or unwelcomed. Absolutely horrendous. Definitely lives up to its trashy reputations. Went there with 15 people and got kicked off the pool table because 2 kids threw a fit. Asked the bartender for our tabs so we could leave and never got them. Did nothing to control an almost fight that broke out because he has no idea how to handle a stressful situation. read more

I got greeted and serviced right away upon entering. Defiantly rare. I've been here one other time with my sister and they have very delicious Bloody Mary's. I ordered fried pickles and they were the best I had, by far. I will be coming back for more. read more

Good food at a great price. Nice staff. Full bar and cold beer. It's better than the recent establishments that have been opening and are all owned as franchises. This place is dated but it is real. Plenty of seating and good place to watch a game. Not a young crowd and not hopping on weekends but that's not always bad. Best fish and chips, nice size pieces fresh and hand breaded. Good clam chowder and fries. There is usually only one waitress, so service is a little challenging. So the last couple times we went, things are changed. The Hambuger is not very good any more , 2 out of 3 pieces of cod are great but the third piece is thin and hard as a brick. Service is really bad , one Waitress, across the steet the restaurant has 10 waitresses . So couldn't get a fork or pull tabs. read more

This place has been in business a long time and has had its ups and downs with servers and cooks, but they've recently don't some sprucing up with new paint and décor. The food is decent for the price, and Bo is a terrific server who always provides excellent service. If you haven't been in lately it's worth a stop. read more

I just moved into the area from up north. First of all let me state that this is the epitome of a local dive/neighborhood bar but all the more better. We came in last Thursday night. Bar was somewhat packed and the bartender Jewel was ROCKING IT! I've never seen someone so aware of their surroundings with so much going on and all the while still taking the time to be as personable as possible with everyone. A couple guys were saying some obscene things to her and she set them young men straight then went about her business. She was making drinks, delivering food, washing glasses and taking orders while still maintaining her cool! Me and my wife will ABSOLUTELY be returning just to see her every date night! Food was great! Just what you would expect from a local dive. Cook was fast. Restrooms were clean. Crowd (other than the couple of rude boys) was older and mellow. Just our pace! read more
