    BLT with crinkle cut fries
    Char D.

Honestly, if you're looking for a local dive bar to watch a football game, or to just feel like a local while visiting, you need to check out this place! We came at 10am to watch the SeaHawks game and were met with a full bar! The bar stools are reserved for the regular customers but plenty of table space. The BLT was a simple classic, and the boneless wings packed a mild punch. Great deals on drinks. Our server was great and made us feel so included with the regular crowd. Highly reccomend

Philly cheese steak & fried pickles

This is my favorite bar in Kent. Fun atmosphere, plenty of TVs for games, pool tables, stiff drinks and surprisingly delicious food! The French onion soup is the best around, and the chicken fried steak really hits the spot too, especially with a Bloody Mary with a football game on. I haven't had any bad food here and the service is great!

Top down view of Dragon Melt, waffle fries, and krinkle fries

Fantastic! We had this a couple of nights ago (I have just been busy with my new teaching job so haven't had a chance to review it properly). Really impressed with the dragon melt, the krinkle cut and waffle fries were crispy and light and the chicken tenders that I shared with my Mom, had a nice thin batter with nice fresh chicken. Plus, it was still hot when we got it home. Major major improvement and I'm very happy to give Firestarter a four star. Keep up the great work!

    Thirsty Thursday with wings
    Kevin F.

Fun and friendly atmosphere, came across this place while searching for wings and drinks in the area, since I'm still learning and exploring the Greater Seattle area, and attending a Yelp Elite event in the area. I arrived late afternoon, before they really got busy, as it was Thursday, and the football game that night, was a big rivalry, Seahawks playing the 49ers, definitely a Seahawks crowd (imagine that?!? Lol) but a few niners fans as well. Enjoyed the friendly and salty bantering, keeping it fun. Reviews favored the chicken wings, and they sounded real tasty, so after ordering a Boneyard IPA, which was refreshing, I ordered the buffalo wings, they came with fries and a house salad, a good blue cheese dressing added for wings and salad. Service was fast, Wings were meaty and good sized, just the right amount of sauce, finger licking good w/o dripping all over. Delicious. Fries were good just right, crispy on the outside, and the house salad was well proportioned with veggies and black olives mixed in. Trying to be a little healthy. While enjoying the wings, I ordered a Manny's Pale ale, which is fast becoming a favorite of mine, since it's usually available at most eating and drinking establishments, reminds me of a PNW version of Sierra Nevada pale Ale, flavorful and refreshing w/o being over hoppy. Bar tenders were on task, never a empty glass in the place, before asking for another. They did have happy hour and game day specials as well. Definitely looking for a return visit. Happy Holidays and Yelping! Cheers!!

I ordered the three tacos, my husband got the Umai Burger, and we added fish tacos plus wings and garlic fries to share. Everything hit the spot! The fish tacos were perfectly battered, and the garlic fries were giving full-on stadium/baseball vibes crispy, garlicky, addicting. Drinks were solid too. The space looks small from the outside, but once you're in, it's actually pretty spacious. The vibe is super fun they host cool evening events like Latin nights and other themed nights, so it's definitely more than just a restaurant. Great food, great energy, and happy hour is worth coming back for. I'm already planning to return soon to finally try their breakfast!

The long: steak culture is incredibly mundane and steakhouses themselves often overcommit and underdeliver. Vue has cracked the code bringing flavor to steak houses. They go beyond the traditional salt and pepper approach and introduce Mexican and Hmong flavors in their dishes. If haven't had the honor of dining in a home from either culture, you're in for a treat. I personally like their New York strip Their family love can be felt in the decor, the interactions, the attention to the customers and the food. For me these were flavors and the culture of care I grew up with. So I'm exited for their success, mark my words they will be the best steakhouse in Washington in the next 2 years. They're working with something special here.

I'm sorry that I have to revise my original review. Instead of 2 stars, I'm changing it to 1…read more The reason is not only my original experience but also the owner's response. Rather than acknowledging my concerns, they chose to argue with my experience and made factual claims that are inaccurate. The reply also reads like a generic AI generated response instead of a genuine attempt to address customer feedback. First, there is no such thing as a "gaucho torta". In Argentine spanish, the word torta refers to a sweet cake. A savory sandwich is not called a torta, so this is clearly a creative invention rather than an Argentine dish. Second, my review was specifically about these kinds of "creative" reinterpretations, not about traditional cuisines. I have traveled extensively throughout Argentina, as well as other countries in Latin America and Europe, and I appreciate that every restaurant is free to innovate. However, when you choose to reinterpret a traditional cuisine, you should also expect that some customers will appreciate those changes while others will not. Both perspectives are valid. Regarding the chimichurri, traditional Argentine recipes have historically relied on neutral oils such as sunflower or corn oil, although recipes vary by region and household. Presenting your version as the definitive authentic one while dismissing a customer's perspective is misleading. The disappointing part was not the food itself but the response. Instead of engaging respectfully with a customer who offered thoughtful criticism, the owner chose to argue with my experience and present questionable "facts" as if they settled the matter. Constructive criticism is an opportunity to improve, not something to dismiss. Here is my original review, my apologies for the confusion on the "bowl": There is plenty of steak, but the bowl is styled to appear fuller than it is, with an excessive amount of greens doing the visual heavy lifting. The steak itself is buried under butter and a heavy white sauce that mutes rather than complements the beef. The large, roughly cut potatoes aspire to a rustic aesthetic but read as inexpensive filler. Most confusing is the lack of culinary identity, the dish isn't recognizably Mexican, Italian, or particularly refined. It mistakes richness for sophistication

After 7 nights of cruise food, we were ready to try something new and local. Sharp's was only 5 minutes from our hotel, and highly rated, so I figured we would give it a shot. We arrived at the restaurant to a full parking lot with people standing outside. However, when we went in, the wonderful hostess informed us there was no wait. The seater showed us to our table, and chatted with us about our day along the way. He also explained the 3 menus that he gave us, and informed us we were right in time for happy hour. Our server, Sam, greeted us promptly, and she was so incredibly welcoming to our family, answering questions about the menu items. It was so hard to decide what to order, so we ordered several small plates (Brisket nachos, Wings, Brisket tacos, fries, and mac and cheese, along with the complimentary cornbread). To our surprise, everything came out so quickly. This was probably the fastest service I've ever had at a restaurant. The servers who delivered our food were friendly and welcoming as well. Not only that, EVERYTHING we ate was phenomenal. The fries were flavorful and perfectly salted, the wings were fantastic, and the brisket nachos? Wow....the brisket was some of the best we've ever had, and the nacho chips even stood out. The biggest compliment is from our 15 year old who said that the mac and cheese is some of the best pasta she's ever had. Throughout the whole meal, Sam was so attentive and chatting with us about the restaurant and dessert options. I truly enjoyed everything about our experience. The food and service both were top notch. The only thing I didn't like about this restaurant is that I'll have to book another flight to Seattle from Michigan to eat there. I've been wanting to come here for a while and I'm happy. I finally had a chance. I'm looking forward to coming back and try one of their burgers with chicken Katsu and also pork Katsu in the near future, but I had to go with the original beef patty on the first visit. Service was great. I was greeted quickly and provided with some suggestions after I mentioned it was my first visit here. Their menu is unique so that type of help is appreciated. I made mine a meal and got it with fries and you can choose from four different types of seasoning for your fries or get them plain. I got mine with the furikake seasoning which was nice and added that umami flavor profile perfectly. You also get to choose dipping sauce and I went with more Katsu sauce, but they have five or six others that looked good. I chose a lychee oolong tea in a bottle from the cooler as my meal drink, but you could also get a fountain drink or upgrade to a milkshake if you prefer All in all, this is a really really cool creative twist on classic burger spot. They also serve some bento boxes and Katsu style hotdog at this Kent location here. The bathroom was really clean as was the lobby and the open kitchen. All in all, I'll give them a 10 out of 10 and I will be back
