Good Enough - but Not Great Sharps RoastHouse is an upscale restaurant with an extensive and interesting menu. It advertises 'craft cocktails' but could not deliver proper Manhattan - A truly classic cocktail. Mine was served with little or no Vermouth, no Bitters and no Maraschino Cherry. (Surprising since I observed the bartender checking the recipe on his cell phone). I also ordered the Street Tacos. The two tacos were very tasty and flavorful, but were so soaked in some liquid that they were slimy and impossible to pick up and eat - and how else should you eat a taco? Perhaps had I ordered a different cocktail and different food item, I would have had a better experience. Bottom line is that this place is interesting enough and has the potential to bring me back for another try if I am ever back in the area again. read more

Ate here after eating cruise food for 7 days straight! We had a late flight and had a day room to kill some time. This restaurant was right up the street so we walked there. Young lady that greeted us said there was a wait but offered us an immediate seat if we wanted to sit in the lounge area. Our server was pleasant enough. We both ordered a drink. We were staying in a hotel just up the street. We walked to the restaurant. There was a line of people, however they told us that we could sit in the bar area if we didn't want to wait. We went to the bar area. There are a lot of tables there. We initially sat at a two top and were waited on, but the men behind us were watching the football game and were SO LOUD! They were yelling so loudly we couldn't hear each other. So we moved over to another two top closer to the door. Since we were looking for something on the healthier side, the salmon was really the only thing on the menu that we could order. They were very good. I enjoyed the salmon, the mashed potatoes, and the green beans. All were well seasoned and well cooked. They have a house martini that's only $7.50. I had one and it was good. It gets very busy. Sharps Roadhouse in Seattle was a major disappointment, especially considering how overpriced the food is. The "Damn Good Wings" were anything but they were dry, chewy, and lacked flavor. The pasta was decent, and I did enjoy how the sauce and spices seeped into each curve, creating a nice balance of creaminess and seasoning in every bite. A coworkers ordered the burger. It looked good, but they said it had an excessive amount of lettuce. Another coworker ordered the prime rib and described it as basic, adding that she would not order it again. Overall, given the hype surrounding this location, I was disappointed that our experience was so mediocre. The food did not justify the prices, and I would pass on returning. One thing to note is that the restaurant adds a 5% cook's tip to the bill. Even without that extra charge, you are still paying far too much for average food. read more

My Cousin took me to lunch and she was telling me how she really liked this place. Located right next to Coast Gateway Hotel on Pacific Hwy. Parking is really Tight. There was a long line so we decided to sit in the Bar Area. The waitress came in a timely fashion. I ordered the Fried Creamy Potatoes and the Boneless Wings 8/10. My Cousin ordered a Papaya Mule, Cod Tacos and the Sourdough Beer Battered Onion Rings 8/10 minus the Onion Rings they were sent back. They were fried so hard we thought we would break our teeth. This has been a go-to spot since I started working nearby 5+ years ago. My favorite order is the Pulled Brisket Street Tacos with their Southern Spread & Guac (w/chips). I usually have 1 taco, split the chips with others and save the other taco for later because the portion is just right! I've come here with countless coworkers, family, and friends alike, HH, lunch, dinner, girls night... It's a versatile spot with quality and prices in good ranges - they have house drinks starting at $7.99 and you can easily eat an appetizer for under $15. At the same time you can also go on the higher end - they are a roast-house after all! While I don't drink, I did fancy their dirty martinis once upon a time. I would say their house liquor quality (their brand) is the price you pay for. The bathroom has a strong smell of cleaner. The folks are nice, I usually sit in the bar and enjoy seeing the same employees there over the years which to me communicates that they are satisfied to be there. I wanted to get prime rib and found this place not too far away from my hotel. I went in around dinner time and got really lucky with only have to wait for 20 mins for a table for one. Once I was seated I had someone come and asked for a vanilla cider and a the 1/2 lb prime rib dinner. It came with sour cream mashed potatoes, green beans, freshly grated horseradish, and a side of au jus. Compare this to other prime rib it wasn't as fatty or gristly which was great. Also cut so nicely so I didn't have to fight to cut a piece off. The mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious but filling. Green beans were fresh and still crunchy. I wished I had room for dessert, but I was absolutely stuffed. Would love to come back here again. read more

Ok one of the most amazing places I've dined in for some time. First off your next to SeaTac Airport so location is perfect of your coming or going and need a food or alcoholic beverage.... Soon as you enter you see multiple oak kegs of Burbon fermenting spirts in a revolving rack. Turning the juices of the gods to make sure you'll get the perfect cocktail each and every time. A few more feet away is a meat locker twirling with red lights cooking the prime rib flesh, my oh my was I mesmerized. Great unexpected experience by the Seattle airport! We were staying at one of the Seattle airport hotels and dropped by for a quick lunch. The inside decor is immersive - big slabs of meat displayed, a sourdough pasta machine putting out pasta pieces! Very camp and fun. Service was also friendly. We weren't that hungry so just ordered the pulled pork salad and fried chicken salad. Both are HUGE and great. The meats were of course the highlights. I was glad to revisit Sharps for dinner. Our server Maria was great. They have an interesting mixed drink menu, plus a bunch of beers on tap and wines. I got the drink that had bourbon and figs, very tasty. I really liked my mac and cheese with the spicy chicken tenders. My friend asked me if I could taste if the pasta was made with sourdough, and I'm not really sure! The portion size was huge. I also got a side Caesar that was pretty average, but I had wanted to get some kind of vegetable. This place was bustling with people when we went. Waiter came out with a complementary cornbread and it set the mood for yumminess We didn't know there was a happy hour, but ordered burnt ends and macaroni & cheese with their homemade noodles. She made great recommendations, was super friendly and was always available. Let me start with the place was very clean, inviting and the service was good. I really want to focus on the food. I had high expectations since we frequent their sister restaurant, Vons 1000 Spirits in seattle where the food is off rhe charts every single time. So that is why I feel I can grade Sharps with a harsher expectations. Lets start with the good. Cornbread, delicious, crispy edges and sweet buttery flavor. The sweet corn, very buttery with a delicious seasoning sprinkled on top. The Fig whiskey was so smokey and sweet and wonderful. Now let's take a step down... the burnt ends and brisket were delicious. The burnt ends were small pieces and conservative portion. The brisket was so tender you could cut it with a fork, again, the portion was very small considering the price tag. Now, because I was raised in Kansas City, Missouri, I have my own preferences when it comes to bbq sauce and beans...so I am keeping an open mind... the sweet red bbq sauce was great and was served on tbe burnt ends and with my husbands ribs...the brisket is served with a Carolina gold sauce which is very tangy and more like a salad dressing in my opinion, but again thats just a preference. Here's where my rating goes down quickly. The onion rings, while having a nice flavor were so soggy and greasy. Im not sure if they were not drained of the grease appropriately or were just sitting on a warming table...my husband's fries were the same way. As we were leaving I noticed our neighboring table had fish and chips and the fish and fries both looked just as soggy on the bottom. This leads me to think the fried food may be fried in advance and are held to plate up quickly. I dont know, but that lost points with me real quick because, again, I had very high expectations since they are related to probably our favorite restaurant in seattle, Vons 1000 spirits. I had been here before with work colleagues. This time with family. It was a busy Friday night and the wait was not long. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was good and we had a nice selection of options from both the food menu and the drink menu. The pasta is made fresh and it was great as well in the macaroni and cheese. It was a fun atmosphere with lots to see and a warm ambiance. Not only did our server touch base with us, but I believe it was the manager who did several times as well. I ordered to go as I was staying at the Hilton garden inn down the street. I will warn they have a "promo" code "HOTEL10" that is for to-go orders or delivery and that promo doesn't work at all. I called the restaurant and asked and they were no help lol in fact the gentlemen who handed me my order gave a sarcastic smirk when I told him about it and gave off the vibe that he didn't GAF at all lol whatever 10% is 10%. So the brisket sandwich with dip was amazing the flavor is so good especially with whatever cheese they use. Each bite was a blast of flavor and the Auju sauce the use was awesome for dipping. The brisket tacos were good with flavor but basic I wouldn't get that again it seemed like a semi wilted tortilla with all that stuff thrown on it not BAD because the flavor was amazing but not a app I would get again.
