Patty's Eggnest is quite the breakfast gem. This local business serves up some delicious comfort food at both breakfast and lunch. My server, Sarah was really nice and she didn't rush us to order our breakfast as this was my first visit and the whole menu looked great. They have a regular menu, a Hawaiian special menu, a lighter portion menu and the daily specials menu. So much to choose from and the decision was difficult but we made the right choices. The Californian Scramble was a generous portion and I was able to swap out breakfast potatoes for French fries. Everything in the scramble was seasoned well. The Migos Scramble that my husband ordered, was so flavorful and went perfect with the chopped up roasted new potatoes. Their coffee was equally good and the decor inside was cozy and bright. How did it take us so long to come here? The menu is huge, the food is incredible. It's busy, and the tables are pretty close together- they make the most of the space but it's not super comfy seating. But once you taste the food you will NOT care. You can do pick up meals, or dine in. They have tons of breakfast foods- do not miss the Swedish pancakes (crepes) or the Montecristo sandwich. The bacon is incredible. Everything tastes homemade and farm fresh. They also have a Hawaiian menu. Seriously- don't let the strip mall location deter you, Patty's is 100% worth checking out. Patty's Ernest is a breakfast joint that I've been frequenting for a couple years now. Every time it's been nothing but lovely service and delicious food! The place itself is a cozy little place that has all kinds of random decor and snug tables but it's nothing to complain about. The waffles are usually good but today they were slightly undercooked. Thankfully the staff were quick on their feet and resolved the issue :) My partner really liked the carne asada breakfast burrito and always gets it. Cute little place in a strip mall across the street from the South center Mall in Tukwila, WA. The inside is okay but definitely cramped for space. The service was good. The staff was very friendly and kept our coffees and waters full and the food came out fast. The food quality, however, was a tad lackluster. It looked pretty but certainly lacks in flavor. I really think they could use some seasoning to amp things up. The hashbrowns looked beautifully golden brown, but tasted like burnt oil...thats a huge pet peeve of mine. The food was tasty! We had Pancakes, French toast and Bacon. The customer service needs some HELP!!!! We stood at the door while we watched about 5 employees behind the counter in the back. We were going to leave and we received a hand gesture and a woman saying sit anywhere. We sat towards the back someone walked by and placed wrapped silverware on our table. She walked by again and placed menus on our table.Then her first words were, "do you want coffee". There were no one welcoming you, nor even happy that you're dining with them. Especially when it wasn't busy!!! Someone came over to take our order, the food came out fast- it tasted great! We had to ask for water refills twice. A lady was placing syrup on the tables and placed them on every table except ours. So we had to ask for syrup when our meal was given to us. Saw this restaurant as we were driving by. It's located in a little strip mall. The restaurant isn't too big and there were only a few tables taken. Although there was a "please wait to be seated" sign posted, we were waved in to take our own seat. Sitting down we were immediately served water. After a few minutes we asked for menus. 7 minutes after that a server finally came over to take our order. Once we ordered, we waited a full 30 minutes, then finally asked for our food to go because we needed to make an appointment. Our visit was certainly disappointing and by the time we drove 30 minutes to where we could eat, food was soggy and lukewarm. Overall this place looks promising and we will give it another try. Bright corner location! Inside, seating has been pushed to the absolute max, so anyone of size might find getting to and from their table a bit uncomfortable. I ordered the Hot Prime Rib sandwich, being a sucker for prime rib and wanting a Sunday treat. Unfortunately, it wasn't a treat. At $19+ for a sandwich and fries, I expected something solid, hot, and flavorful. Instead, I got a sweaty hoagie roll topped with thinly sliced, dry "food service grade" beef. There was no pink, no juiciness, and little flavor. The jus came with the sandwich, but the soft, moist roll couldn't hold it; dipping made the bread inedible. No horseradish or extras just thin, dry meat on soggy bread. My wife had a California scramble. The flavor and toppings were fine, but the eggs were overcooked and mealy. We swapped plates halfway to help each other along. Prices are rising everywhere, but quality still matters especially at this price point. The menu options were creative & plentiful. We went for breakfast after arriving at SeaTac airport. The Swedish pancakes with lingonberry sauce is a Scandinavian delight. I love Hawaiian pizza so when I saw the Hawaiian omelet I had to try it. It did not disappoint. The service was great and with a smile. Slight flavoring of teriyaki/shoyu and cooked to perfection. The rice was fresh, fluffy and hot. The meal also came with 2 packaged type Hawaiian rolls which were not warmed up but decent. I also ordered the Hawaiian pancakes which included 2 dry & dense pancakes. It was topped with canned tropical fruit mixed with a fluff. I'm diabetic so I don't add any syrup to my pancakes but this was very disappointing standing on its own. My aunty ordered the crepes which she says is her favorite. I finished my water within the first 5 minutes we were there. It was never refilled. Service - the waitress & servers were nice. They never checked on us during the meal. I had the pork loin, which was three thin but reasonably sized slices, served with three eggs, hash browns (surprisingly boring), and a single slice of sourdough toast with strawberry freezer jam, which was $17.25 and should have been no more than $14.00. The real surprise, which was really an insult, was the coffee, priced at $3.95 a cup - ridiculous for standard grade food service coffee, even with a couple of refills. Yes, I ate it all and, yes, it was OK. But it really was the server that suffered, as I couldn't bring myself to tip 20% on such an average and overpriced meal; the waitperson got $3.00, which still brought the total to over $26.00 for one person. They service is amazing, my bf and I have become regulars now and they've made us feel very comfortable. We love coming to patty's and it's a great comfort spot for us. Upon our arrival we were easily 'em seated but after about ten minutes they quickly filled up and soon had a wait. The restaurant is small and the seats are tiny for a plus sized person like myself. The restaurant definitely maximizes their space by fitting as many tables in the space as possible even if that means little space between the tables. The pancakes on the pancake sandwich were definitely much bigger than we anticipated. They were huge. But the pancakes were average. Nothing to brag about. Nobody finished their plate, not even my twelve year old who never leaves a pancake untouched. The pancakes just ran a little dry in our opinion. The menu boasts that their chicken fried steak is what they are known for and hand cut. My over easy eggs were cooked perfectly and the chicken fried steak was seasoned nice. I'd rate a 3/5. Like the pancakes nothing to write home about but it was a solid meal. The gravy was good as well. Seasoned well and not too thick and clumpy. My highlight of the meal was the jam though. It was tart, slightly sweet. A local breakfasts and lunch spot for the neighborhood that is most definitely popular with the community. I see why. The portion and prices are great. read more

TLDR: Food: Middling / Service: Good / Ambiance: Bland - like buttered toast. The menu is varied, and expansive. They have a weekly specials menu as well. I have learned to avoid specials except in the most secure of circumstances so I chose to order off the standard menu. I received the Bavarian breakfast with a side of hollandaise sauce. It was okay, with the exception of the hollandaise sauce which was sweet and chunky, and nothing like hollandaise sauce should be. The potatoes were slightly under seasoned, in a, no matter how much salt I add, this still won't be that good because they didn't salt it well to begin with way. But the eggs were acceptable and the meat was cooked. My friend got the Belgian waffle and she enjoyed it, so maybe it is more of a Waffle House kind of place. With a name that has egg in the title, the eggs were just so-so. The service was good, the server checked in on us several times and kept the coffee coming! The ambiance attempts homey, which is a tall order in a corner strip mall shop. They were playing Christian music at a low volume and the table was a bit crowded with all the things that you might ask for normally being there already. The art on the walls looked like it was purchased from Hobby lobby but other than being somewhat within the same color spectrum, was disparate and felt like a bad mishmash. They have a slight bird theme, but not in a cute way, but more lackluster much like the "art" on the walls, it feels like almost an after-thought. So to sum up, it serves breakfast, soup, burgers and sandwiches. The food is marginally good on some fronts. Overall, I wouldn't go back. Try it, maybe they were having an off day or maybe mid-tier breakfast is your thing. read more
