Always a favorite of mines to come here. It had been a while but same great service. They don't have the cool seating area anymore towards the back, which is a bummer. They're catering to the hotel guest but that's one of the reasons I liked coming here. It gave restaurant, bar, lounge vibes. The food is always good. I had the tacos with shrimp this day, but I've tried almost everything on the menu and like it all. Rose still works here and she remembered me which was cool. She's great! She deserves kudos for her great service. Once it gets warmer I will be here more often to enjoy the outdoor seating. read more

Serendipity on our first morning in SEATTLE! We wanted to try Johny's but they were closed and after a lil meandering across the trail bridge I spotted Rendition nearby thanks to YELP!!! We got there just 45 minutes before breakfast ended and this cute, chic hotel is doing it right. Mom was craving bacon and the buffet was beautifully appointed with thick cut, maple pepper bacon, fresh fruit, a few pastries, scrambled eggs, yummy little pancakes and delicious potatoes. I chose the spinach egg white scramble and was pleasantly surprised by the mushrooms! Everything was fresh, hot and delicious and I highly recommend. I attended Taco Tuesday, unfortunately. The "taco's" come on a fluffed flour tortilla (my first wtf and realization that I was about to eat the most basic American taco known to mankind). The beef, is chunky.. this is not a ground beef.. we are talking full on stew chunks of taco beef - like mini meatballs.. on my taco, disgusting. I was very confused and convulsed at the first bite. Luckily there were two different hot sauces within reach to drown out any flavor the "taco" was bringing. The taco's were literally a 2/10... Taco Bell does it better. The service was friendly.. but I'll never be back for a Taco Tuesday, the taste was unforgettably awful. Who would have thought that this good of a restaurant was inside of a hotel!!! The interior and menu is just superior, and the serivce is top notch!! The artichoke crab dip is no joke, GET IT so good, creamy, rich, and with the toasty crostini. The burger is honestly one of th best I have had and the best shape fry to go with it! This is a fabulous restaurant inside the Interurban Hotel. The Chef, Travis, clearly enjoys presenting patrons with a beautiful plate of food. The dinner I ordered was a wonderful mushroom risotto, and charred Brussels sprouts where were better than my own. I also had a drink called the Raspberry Rendition which was very good, smooth vodka and delicious. He was delighted to fix me up some Lava Cake to go as well, for a late-night snack. Breakfast is a free hot buffet as a perk for those staying in the hotel. True, the morning host, was very attentive and the staff made sure that the food was hot and refilled. They had everything you would want, sausage, eggs, breakfast potatoes, toast, yogurt, oatmeal, bagels and pastry. The coffee here is really good too, and I'm picky. read more

I think 4 stars is generous, but really it's an average of the 5 star service and 3 star food. My partner and I stayed at Hotel Interurban for a weekend, and we received one free entrée at Rendition (their in-house restaurant) each morning. Wow! With menu items ranging from $12 to $20 it's a pretty good deal. Lovely indoor and outdoor seating. We experienced both. The first day I had the Salmon Lox Benedict (most expensive thing on the menu) and the second day I had the Breakfast Sandwich. Both weren't very good, but the wait staff went above and beyond in terms of pep and proactiveness. I was impressed. Overall a worthwhile perk of staying at Hotel Interurban but wouldn't go out of my way to dine here specifically. read more

Wow, so impressed with the food and service! Wasn't expecting much honestly, sort of a last minute decision to come here but we were all happy to have come here! The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, it is airy and spacious. Interior is nicely decorated. The only qualm is that the food took about an hour (after ordering) to arrive despite the restaurant not being busy. Worth the wait though! Service was friendly and attentive as well. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, gooey cheese, crispy bacon and English muffin, perfect fried egg. Best part of my entree was the potatoes, super crispy, seasoned perfectly and slightly sweet to balance the oily/saltiness. My sister got the avocado toast and said it was okay, nothing too special. I had to go up a few times and asked Jonathan for my waters and some help on how to use the buffet area. We came for dinner on a Monday night. No Parking. I was our first time here, so we were just driving around looking for a space on their lot and looking for that elusive garage. We finally went down from our car to look for the valet attendant, and he was nice to give us 2 hour complimentary parking (really). So we went inside the restaurant thinking it'll be pack, but there were only 10 people there -- including staff. Ok food: Pork belly sandwich: I was disappointed with the 2 thin stripped pork belly... however it was loaded with bacon. I mean bacon makes everything better, but I thought it was pork belly sandwich. Plus it was dry. Good think I asked mayo on the side. Wagyu burger: this was actually really good. The caramelized onions were on point. And the meat was cooked just right. Both were served with chipotle fries. And the fries were the highlight of the meal. We ordered 2 different kind of cocktails. This restaurant is inside Hotel Interurban. I got a breakfast buffet voucher. So, I cane downstairs to have breakfast before my flight. It clearly says BUFFET but they only have (left to right in my photo) oatmeal, bread, cereal, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt. They put them out in a fancy way, but this is the stingiest breakfast buffet I have ever had in my life, if you can even call it a buffet at all. They are really pushing the definition of "buffet" here. I've had much better breakfast at cheap motels. At the very least, no one have to pay for this kind of hotel breakfast (period). read more

The food & service here were perfect. - Best bacon mac & cheese I've ever had - I usually wouldn't order it because the bacon usually tastes old & flabby. Fortunately, it was happy hour so was also able to try the corn riblets, salad & Brussel sprouts. All very tasty. Service was wonderful- neither neglectful nor annoying. First, it's small for a hotel restaurant (Interurban Hotel) in Tukwila. It's very nicely designed with plenty of light. My hubby (my foodie partner) visited this restaurant for lunch a month ago. We ordered off of the lunch menu. I ordered the half shrimp po'boy sandwich with a small salad. Here's the problem. They served me a huge bread with only three and I mean 3 shrimps. (check the photo to see for yourself) It was really tasty which is why it was so disappointing. The chef really should check the portion. It really was a waste of money and carbs. Rendition has a fresh, vibrant atmosphere. Very simple which I found very aesthetically pleasing. We went out of our way to check it out based on the breakfast menu we found online. Although limited, it featured Avocado Toast and Smoked Salmon Hash which both piqued our interest. We didn't do our research first, so we were not aware it was a hotel restaurant at the Hotel Interurban. Some other things to note: -Price was moderate -Menu was slightly limited but seemed to have something for everyone -Full service bar (bonus) -Food quality was fresh -Presentation was very good -Service was good Foodie stuff: If you are looking for the best Avocado Toast, a favorite dish of mine... keep looking. Really good food and customer service, everyone is really nice, we had breakfast there twice so far and it was delicious! I need to find out how they make the pancakes crunchy on the outside and so soft on the inside for every single bite, and the potatoes are seasoned so well that I will go there just for those alone. The breakfast sandwich was good albeit a bit heavy and the frittata was light and savory but good with some hot sauce. The Benedict was really good as well, also better with hot sauce imo but overall everything was delicious. I will be back for the pancakes, potatoes and service! read more

I've been anxiously awaiting the opening of Waterleaf, so I was so excited when my son's grandma offered a night out for my boyfriend and I for a date night. I chose Waterleaf for dinner & drinks! It's in the lobby/right front and center of the new hotel in Tukwila, Hotel Interurban. The hotel itself is modern, trendy, and definitely one of the nicer establishments in the immediate area. It's sort of an awkward place for a hotel, but I guess it's kind of close to the airport which makes it desirable. Waterleaf itself is really cool looking. Modern, simple, and classy. On warmer nights, the whole front of the restaurant opens up as it's all floor to ceiling glass windows. It'd also be a good place to watch games because they've got quite a few big screen televisions around the place. Our waitress was very nice and super informative whenever we had a question about menu items. She let us know that all the (local) draft beers were $5 for the evening, and my boyfriend and I both went with the IPA that was especially crafted for them by Odin Brewing, which is right down the road (and a great brewery to visit if you've never been!) The IPA was super tasty. As for food, my boyfriend ordered some street tacos for us to start, and for our entrees I went with the Yellow Curry and he went with the Bacon Wagyu Burger. The street tacos were just okay for me, but my boyfriend really liked them. The chipotle sauce on them was almost too sweet or something for me. My boyfriend really loved his burger, and my Yellow Curry was really good. It was a bit on the spicy side and the chicken was rather dry (which I've read in other reviews) but other than that I thought it was really good. During the dinner service they had a live musician who was REALLY good which gave everything a pretty romantic vibe. Definitely a great local restaurant to visit for bites or drinks! read more

Gave it try during Seattle Restaurant Week. I really want to like this restaurant, since it is conveniently located close to Southcenter, yet distanced from its busy traffic. It has plenty of up front parking spaces. The restaurant has a lovely uncovered patio that's facing the parking lot. I tried several of their signature cocktails and dishes, including beets infused devil eggs, asparagus salad, bacon dip, smoked chicken, bbq ribs, s'mores and lemon cake. I really really really want to like the dishes because they were all beautifully presented but all of them lack flavor. Of all, I enjoyed the smoked chicken least. The meat is so dry and has no flavors at all. The ribs are better, slightly more flavorful and the meat was tender. Overall, if I give this restaurant a 3 stars. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and has a nice atmosphere. read more

I made plans with friends to try this place for Seattle Restaurant Week (SRW). SRW's website search filter had listed this place to be with outdoor seating. I made a reservation on the phone since I needed to request outdoor seating. The process was quite difficult to be honest. You have to call the hotel, and hotel has to transfer you (and they didn't transfer me to the right place the first couple of times), but only after 5pm, the time when the restaurant opens. No direct number to the restaurant... I asked the woman on the phone if they had outdoor seating and if it was covered, she said yes. I went ahead and make a reservation. I needed to change the reservation to a later time the day of. The woman I then spoke to told me their outdoor seating is closed for the season. I had to cancel my dinner plans with my friends last minute, and I felt horrible about it. Please get the logistics together if you want people to visit your restaurant without jumping through hoops. read more

Came here for brunch and we totally did not regret it ! upon entering we were greeted and told to sit where we pleased so we did, it was nice and clean and the workers all seemed very nice and polite. We got started with mimosas and some churro bites. I do have to say the churro bites were amazing and they were fresh, so we got it nice and warm. The only thing I would probably change next time is maybe request the churro bites on a plate since they give it to you in a paper bag and it gets very messy when you get your hand in there with all that sugar and cinnamon. I ordered their chorizo burrito which I did not regret ! I have to say it is probably one of the best chorizo burritos I have had ; and it was massive at least for me. My fiancé ordered their all American breakfast (or something similar) and I have to say she was fulfilled with that breakfast ! Lol Their portions are worth the price , it came out as soon as it was done and I could only tell because the food was really hot so a plus on that. Located in the new (and fancy!) Hotel InterUrban is the Waterleaf, a little slice of unexpected food happiness. I was in a hurry and asked for whatever was the "fastest" to go. Bacon cheeseburger it is! Thank you chef. Dear heavens I am no fan of hamburgers (esp. those from In-n-get me the hell Out), but this one was outstanding. Thick, juicy, cheesy, charred just right, med rare (naturally), some cheese that was tangy and interesting (not plain yellow material), and nice big bacon slices that hung over the edge of the burger like...like...bacon should. I wanted fruit on the side, but the staff said, "try the fries." GOOD advice. I wanted to go back for another identical burger, but travel plans disagreed. It was fun to try, but not worth the time or money. We came here on a Sunday around 11am, so they still had their brunch menu going until 2pm. We sat ourselves down and I asked for a menu. I'm not sure if they are always this short-staffed, but we did not get a drink order in until 30 mins waiting, and food order 20 minutes after... we waited there for so long and it was not even busy. The atmosphere is nice and the decor is very modern and light. There are also a bunch of tv screens showing sports. We got mimosas for drinks and I had mine with cranberry juice which was really tasty. I ordered the eggs Benedict with the rib option and my boyfriend ordered the wagyu burger. We split both in half. Here's the breakdown of the taste: Wagyu burger - Flavor was too salty. I took out half the bacon and cheese. The meat itself was good and had a good consistency. It had potential. The fries that came with it also had potential. It was long and crispy but holy cow, OVERLY SALTED. I was sad. A good thing ruined, again. Eggs Benedict: tasty! The ribs melted in your mouth. It had no salt on it, which is fine! So you can add your own to your liking. Delicious. I also had it with their hot sauce that was a sour spicy chipotle tasting sauce. Sadly, the potatoes had way too much oil and was soggy. Disgusting. I tried eating a few and could not make myself eat anymore. Overall: everything too oily and salty. It's like Cheesecake Factory quality... yikes. There is no thought or care whatsoever into making the food actually taste good and it's just loaded with oil and salt. Great place for drinks and food. They have a rotating seasonal menu. Right now they are offering in house smoked bbq meats. So good! The warm winter salad and beet deviled eggs are a must. I really loved the smoked chicken. Not pictured because we ended up eating it all before a picture was taken. Covid precautions were great. Staff wears gloves and masks. Sanitizer was given upon arrival and everyone is spaced apart. They also have garage doors lining the wall so there is optimal airflow. If outside is where you prefer to sit, there is an outdoor patio, fireplace and heat lamps. Take your pick. Christine was our server. She was super nice, friendly and attentive. I've experienced better." and I can't think of a more fitting reaction to my dining experience. - Smoked Honey Hot Wings: 3 out of 5 stars. My boyfriend enjoyed the flavor but I thought it was rather bland. Some pieces of chicken were overdone and dry as well. Not horrible, but not great. - St Helen's Beef Patty Melt: 2 out of 5 stars. *sigh* So. Damn. Boring. You get a fat chunk of hamburger with Russian dressing that has a very low flavor profile on marbled rye bread. Overpriced and boring. Sad to say but Steak N Shake has better Patty Melts than Waterleaf. Meh. Meh. and more Meh. - Chinese Chicken Salad: 3 out of 5 stars. This was much better in comparison to the other 2 dishes that I tried. The pieces of chicken on the salad are served warm which I appreciated. Decent flavors in this salad and probably worth ordering if you're in the mood for a salad. Perhaps dinner isn't Watermark's jam or maybe I just didn't order the right dishes. I give this restaurant/bar a five star rating for food. Service is good but food is a bit slow considering it's opening day, I'll overlook it. Ordered crab cakes and tacos and it took a while to come out but the food was delicious. The tacos: I thought the tortillas were made fresh. They are fluffy and soft with the right amount of crispness around the edges. Pickled onions and cotija cheese were good flavors to round out the taco. The crab cakes: two decently sized crab cakes for appetizers and they had lots of meat. They held together well in terms of firmness and the slaw was a great balance to the savory crab cake and sauce. Lots of meat in the crab cakes and you can see it's real crab and not imitation crab. Saw some other food items that others ordered and they look good. Good music and great spot for games as they have lots of tvs and seating, even outdoor patio. read more

Honestly, I am not even sure how to start this review.... I hate doing harsh reviews yet, I am sorry, this place needs it. To give some details, we came in on a Monday Morning for brunch. the place only had 1 or 2 other tables at the time. Took a bit to get noticed that we wanted a table, then the waitress did her best to be kind and say pick any table. Quickly we ordered drinks and food. As we all were starving. While waiting, we noticed how nasty the placemats were on the table. Dried Food in them and who knows what else from others. Then while the waitress was bringing out food for the other table, we watched her cough with her hand, wipe her nose or face and then grab the food and deliver it. It was just one thing after another that we watched unhealthy actions on how things were cleaned or handled. We still ate the food, yet then we all were very sorry for that mistake. The food was just tasteless and nasty. After everything we had seen and the food we got, one of my group even committed saying do not be surprised if we get sick later. The price was high and we expected that due to being connected to a Hotel. Yet for the service, cleanliness, and quality of food... Wasn't even worth a dime. Overall...
